On certain weaker forms of the Scheepers property

We introduce the weaker forms of the Scheepers property, namely almost Scheepers (aS{\sf aS}), weakly Scheepers in the sense of Sakai (wS{\sf wS}) and weakly Scheepers in the sense of Kočinac (wSk{\sf wS_k}). We explore many topological properties of the weaker forms of the Scheepers property and present few illustrative examples to make distinction between these spaces. Certain situations are considered when all the weaker forms are equivalent. We also make investigations on the weak variations as considered in this paper concerning cardinalities. In particular we observe that 1. If every finite power of a space XX is aM{\sf aM} (respectively, wM{\sf wM}), then XX is aS{\sf aS} (respectively, wS{\sf wS}). 2. Every almost Lindelöf space of cardinality less than d\mathfrak{d} is aS{\sf aS}. 3. Let XX be Lindelöf and κ<dκ<\mathfrak d. If XX is a union of κκ many aH{\sf aH} (respectively, wH{\sf wH}, wHk{\sf wH_k}) spaces, then XX is aS{\sf aS} (respectively, wS{\sf wS}, wSk{\sf wS_k}). 4. The Alexandroff duplicate AD(X)AD(X) of a space XX has the Scheepers property if and only if AD(X)AD(X) has the wSk{\sf wS_k} property. 5. If AD(X)AD(X) is aS{\sf aS} (respectively, wS{\sf wS}), then XX is also aS{\sf aS} (respectively, wS{\sf wS}). Besides, few observations on productively aS{\sf aS}, productively wS{\sf wS} and productively wSk{\sf wS_k} spaces are presented. Some open problems are also given.
