Trace asymptotics formula for the Schrödinger operators with constant magnetic fields

In this paper, we consider the 2D- Schrödinger operator with constant magnetic field H(V)=(Dx−By)2+Dy2+Vh(x,y)H(V)=(D_x-By)^2+D_y^2+V_h(x,y), where VV tends to zero at infinity and hh is a small positive parameter. We will be concerned with two cases: the semi-classical limit regime Vh(x,y)=V(hx,hy)V_h(x,y)=V(h x,h y), and the large coupling constant limit case Vh(x,y)=h−δV(x,y)V_h(x,y)=h^{-δ} V(x,y). We obtain a complete asymptotic expansion in powers of h2h^2 of tr(Φ(H(V),h)){\rm tr}(Φ(H(V),h)), where Φ(⋅,h)∈C0∞(R;R)Φ(\cdot,h)\in C^\infty_0(\mathbb R;\mathbb R). We also give a Weyl type asymptotics formula with optimal remainder estimate of the counting function of eigenvalues of H(V)H(V).

Spectral shift function for slowly varying perturbation of periodic Schroedinger operators

In this paper we study the asymptotic expansion of the spectral shift function for the slowly varying perturbations of periodic Schrödinger operators. We give a weak and pointwise asymptotics expansions in powers of hh of the derivative of the spectral shift function corresponding to the pair (P(h)=P0+ϕ(hx),P0=−Δ+V(x)),\big(P(h)=P_0+ϕ(hx),P_0=-Δ+V(x)\big), where ϕ(x)∈C∞(Rn,R)ϕ(x)\in {\mathcal C}^\infty(\mathbb R^n,\mathbb R) is a decreasing function, O(∣x∣−δ){\mathcal O}(|x|^{-δ}) for some δ>nδ>n and hh is a small positive parameter. Here the potential VV is real, smooth and periodic with respect to a lattice ΓΓ in Rn{\mathbb R}^n. To prove the pointwise asymptotic expansion of the spectral shift function, we establish a limiting absorption Theorem for P(h)P(h).

Spectral problems for operators with crossed magnetic and electric fields

We obtain a representation formula for the derivative of the spectral shift function ξ(λ;B,ε)ξ(λ; B, ε) related to the operators H0(B,ε)=(Dx−By)2+Dy2+εxH_0(B,ε) = (D_x - By)^2 + D_y^2 + εx and H(B,ε)=H0(B,ε)+V(x,y), B>0,ε>0H(B, ε) = H_0(B, ε) + V(x,y), \: B > 0, ε> 0. We prove that the operator H(B,ε)H(B, ε) has at most a finite number of embedded eigenvalues on R\R which is a step to the proof of the conjecture of absence of embedded eigenvalues of HH in R.\R. Applying the formula for ξ′(λ,B,ε)ξ'(λ, B, ε), we obtain a semiclassical asymptotics of the spectral shift function related to the operators H0(h)=(hDx−By)2+h2Dy2+εxH_0(h) = (hD_x - By)^2 + h^2D_y^2 + εx and H(h)=H0(h)+V(x,y).H(h) = H_0(h) + V(x,y).

Spectral shift function for operators with crossed magnetic and electric fields

We obtain a representation formula for the derivative of the spectral shift function ξ(λ;B,ε)ξ(λ; B, ε) related to the operators H0(B,ε)=(Dx−By)2+Dy2+εxH_0(B,ε) = (D_x - By)^2 + D_y^2 + εx and H(B,ε)=H0(B,ε)+V(x,y), B>0,ε>0H(B, ε) = H_0(B, ε) + V(x,y), \: B > 0, ε> 0. We establish a limiting absorption principle for H(B,ε)H(B, ε) and an estimate O(εn−2){\mathcal O}(ε^{n-2}) for ξ′(λ;B,ε)ξ'(λ; B, ε), provided λ∉σ(Q)λ\notin σ(Q), where Q=(Dx−By)2+Dy2+V(x,y).Q = (D_x - By)^2 + D_y^2 + V(x,y).
