Enhancing the estimation precision of an unknown phase shift in multipartite Glauber coherent states via skew information correlations and local quantum Fisher information

Local quantum uncertainty (LQU) and local quantum Fisher information (LQFI) are both two tools used to capture purely quantum correlations in multi-partite quantum systems. In this paper, we study these quantifiers in the case of multipartite Glauber coherent state which include the GHZ (Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger) and Werner states. We perform a comparative study between LQFI and LQU in an isolated system. Besides, by using the Kraus operator representation, we study the behavior of these quantifiers on the dephasing channel to investigate their performances under the decoherence effect. In addition, the robustness to the decoherence effect of these two quantifiers is studied. We further examine the situation involving the multipartite Glauber coherent state to decide the sensitivity of the probe state as a resource for quantum estimation protocols.

A gravitational decoupling MGD model in modified $f(R,T)$ gravity theory

The present paper is devoted to investigating the possibility of getting stellar interiors for ultra-dense compact spherical systems portraying an anisotropic matter distribution employing the gravitational decoupling by means of Minimal Geometric Deformation (MGD) procedure within the modified theory of f(R,T) gravity. According to this theory, the covariant divergence of stress-energy tensor does not vanish, hence the movement of classical particles does not follow geodesics resulting in an extra acceleration which suffices the late-time acceleration of the universe without adopting to exotic matter fields. In this regard, we have considered the algebraic function as f(R, {\rm T})= R+2χT, the corresponding effective stress-energy tensor is conserved as well as the exact solutions are derived, where $χ$ indicates a coupling constant. Moreover, the physical quantities associated with the new solutions are well-behaved from the physical and mathematical point of view as well as free of geometrical singularities, violation of the causality condition, non-decreasing thermodynamic functions. Thereafter, the physical viability of the obtained model is affirmed by performing several physical tests of the main salient features such as energy density, radial, and tangential pressure, anisotropy effect, dynamical equilibrium, energy conditions, and dynamical stability. On the other hand, we have generated the M-R curves from our solutions in the four different scenarios, including GR, GR+MGD, f(R,T) and f(R,T)+MGD, and we found a perfect fit for many compact spherical objects in these scenarios by changing the gravitational decoupling constant αand the coupling constant χas free parameters. The present study reveals that the modified f(R,T) gravity through gravitational decoupling by means of MGD method is a suitable theory to explain compact stellar spherical systems....

Exploring physical properties of compact stars in $f(R,T)-$gravity: An embedding approach

Solving field equations exactly in $f(R,T)$ gravity is one of the difficult task. To do so, many authors have adopted different methods such as assuming both the metric functions, an equation of state (EoS) and a metric function etc. However, such methods may not always lead to well-behaved solutions and thereby rejection of the solutions may happen after complete calculations. Indeed, very recent works on embedding class one methods suggested that the chances of arriving at the well behaved-solution is very high thereby inspired us to used it. In class one approach, we have to ansatz one of the metric potentials and the other can be obtain from the Karmarkar condition. In this paper, we are proposing new class one solution which is well-behaved in all physical points of view. We have analyzed the nature of the solution by tuning the $f(R,T)-$coupling parameter $χ$ and found that the solution results into stiffer EoS for $χ=-1$ than $χ=1$. This is because for lesser values of $χ$, velocity of sound is more, higher $M_{max}$ in $M-R$ curve and the EoS parameter $ω$ is larger. The solution satisfy the causality condition, energy conditions, stable and static under radial perturbations (static stability criterion) and in equilibrium (modified TOV-equation). The resulting $M-R$ diagram from this solution is well fitted with observed values of few compact stars such as PSR J1614-2230, Vela X-1, Cen X-3 and SAX J1808.4-3658. Therefore, for different values of $χ$, we have predicted the corresponding radii and their respective moment of inertia from the $M-I$ curve.

Influence of Stark-shift on quantum coherence and non-classical correlations for two two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode cavity field

An exact analytic solution for two two-level atoms coupled with a multi-photon single-mode electromagnetic cavity field in the presence of the Stark shift is derived. We assume that the field is initially prepared in a coherent state and the two atoms are initially prepared in an excited state. Considering the atomic level shifts generated by the Stark shift effect, the dynamical behavior of both quantum coherence (QC) measured using a quantum Jensen-Shannon divergence and of quantum correlations captured by quantum discord (QD) are investigated. It is shown that the intensity-dependent Stark-shift in the cavity and the number of coherent state photons plays a key role in enhancing or destroying both QC and QD during the process of intrinsic decoherence. We remarked that increasing the Stark-shift parameters, the frequencies of the transition for the mode of the cavity field, and photons number destroy both the amount of QC and QD and effected their periodicity. More importantly, QC and QD exhibit similar behavior and both show a revival phenomenon. We believe that the present work shows that the quantum information protocols based on physical resources in optical systems could be controlled by adjusting the Stark-shift parameters.

Multiparameter Quantum Estimation Theory in Quantum Gaussian states

Multiparameter quantum estimation theory aims to determine simultaneously the ultimate precision of all parameters contained in the state of a given quantum system. Determining this ultimate precision depends on the quantum Fisher information matrix (QFIM) which is essential to obtaining the quantum Cramér-Rao bound. This is the main motivation of this work which concerns the computation of the analytical expression of the QFIM. Inspired by the results reported in J. Phys. A 52, 035304 (2019), the general formalism of the multiparameter quantum estimation theory of quantum Gaussian states in terms of their first and second moments are given. We give the analytical formulas of right logarithmic derivative (RLD) and symmetric logarithmic derivative (SLD) operators. Then we derive the general expressions of the corresponding quantum Fisher information matrices. We also derive an explicit expression of the condition which ensures the saturation of the quantum Cramér-Rao bound in estimating several parameters. Finally, we examine some examples to clarify the use of our results

Generalized fermion algebra

A one-parameter generalized fermion algebra ${\cal B}_κ(1)$ is introduced. The Fock representation is studied. The associated coherent states are constructed and the polynomial representation, in the Bargmann sense, is derived. A special attention is devoted to the limiting case $κ\rightarrow 0$ where the fermionic coherent states, labeled by Grassmann variables, are obtained. The physical relevance of the algebra is illustrated throughout Calogero-Sutherland system.

Generalized Coherent States for Polynomial Weyl-Heisenberg Algebras

It is the aim of this paper to show how to construct Perelomov and Barut-Girardello coherent states for a polynomial Weyl-Heisenberg algebra. This algebra depends on r parameters. For some special values of the parameter corresponding to r = 1, the algebra covers the cases of the su(1,1) algebra, the su(2) algebra and the ordinary Weyl-Heisenberg or oscillator algebra. For r arbitrary, the generalized Weyl-Heisenberg algebra admits finite or infinite-dimensional representations depending on the values of the parameters. Coherent states of the Perelomov type are derived in finite and infinite dimensions through a Fock-Bargmann approach based on the use of complex variables. The same approach is applied for deriving coherent states of the Barut-Girardello type in infinite dimension. In contrast, the construction of Barut-Girardello coherent states in finite dimension can be achieved solely at the price to replace complex variables by generalized Grassmann variables. Finally, some preliminary developments are given for the study of Bargmann functions associated with some of the coherent states obtained in this work.

Massless Dirac Fermions in Electromagnetic Field

We study the relations between massless Dirac fermions in an electromagnetic field and atoms in quantum optics. After getting the solutions of the energy spectrum, we show that it is possible to reproduce the 2D Dirac Hamiltonian, with all its quantum relativistic effects, in a controllable system as a single trapped ion through the Jaynes--Cummings and anti-Jaynes--Cummings models. Also we show that under certain conditions the evolution of the Dirac Hamiltonian provides us with Rashba spin-orbit and linear Dresselhaus couplings. Considering the multimode multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model interacting with N modes of electromagnetic field prepared in general pure quantum states, we analyze the Rabi oscillation. Evaluating time evolution of the Dirac position operator, we determine the Zitterbewegung frequency and the corresponding oscillating term as function of the electromagnetic field.

Phase states and coherent states for generalized Weyl-Heisenberg algebras

This paper is concerned with the construction of phase operators, phase states, vector phase states, and coherent states for a generalized Weyl-Heisenberg algebra. This polynomial algebra (that depends on real parameters) is briefly described. The various states are defined on a finite- or infinite-dimensional space depending on the parameters. This report constitutes an introduction to three papers published by the authors in J. Phys. A [43 (2010) 115303 and 45 (2012) 244036] and J. Math. Phys. [52 (2011) 082101]. Bosonic and k-fermionic coherent states for a class of polynomial Weyl-Heisenberg algebras

The aim of this article is to construct à la Perelomov and à la Barut-Girardello coherent states for a polynomial Weyl-Heisenberg algebra. This generalized Weyl-Heisenberg algebra, noted A(x), depends on r real parameters and is an extension of the one-parameter algebra introduced in Daoud M and Kibler MR 2010 J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 43 115303 which covers the cases of the su(1,1) algebra (for x > 0), the su(2) algebra (for x < 0) and the h(4) ordinary Weyl-Heisenberg algebra (for x = 0). For finite-dimensional representations of A(x) and A(x,s), where A(x,s) is a truncation of order s of A(x) in the sense of Pegg-Barnett, a connection is established with k-fermionic algebras (or quon algebras). This connection makes it possible to use generalized Grassmann variables for constructing certain coherent states. Coherent states of the Perelomov type are derived for infinite-dimensional representations of A(x) and for finite-dimensional representations of A(x) and A(x,s) through a Fock-Bargmann analytical approach based on the use of complex (or bosonic) variables. The same approach is applied for deriving coherent states of the Barut-Girardello type in the case of infinite-dimensional representations of A(x). In contrast, the construction of à la Barut-Girardello coherent states for finite-dimensional representations of A(x) and A(x,s) can be achieved solely at the price to replace complex variables by generalized Grassmann (or k-fermionic) variables. Some of the results are applied to su(2), su(1,1) and the harmonic oscillator (in a truncated or not truncated form).

Electromagnetic Excitations of Hall Systems on Four Dimensional Space

The noncommutativity of a four-dimensional phase space is introduced from a purely symplectic point of view. We show that there is always a coordinate map to locally eliminate the gauge fluctuations inducing the deformation of the symplectic structure. This uses the Moser's lemma; a refined version of the celebrated Darboux theorem. We discuss the relation between the coordinates change arising from Moser's lemma and the Seiberg--Witten map. As illustration, we consider the quantum Hall systems on CP^2. We derive the action describing the electromagnetic interaction of Hall droplets. In particular, we show that the velocities of the edge field, along the droplet boundary, are noncommutativity parameters-dependents.

Phase operators, phase states and vector phase states for SU(3) and SU(2,1)

This paper focuses on phase operators, phase states and vector phase states for the sl(3) Lie algebra. We introduce a one-parameter generalized oscillator algebra A(k,2) which provides a unified scheme for dealing with su(3) (for k < 0), su(2,1) (for k > 0) and h(4) x h(4) (for k = 0) symmetries. Finite- and infinite-dimensional representations of A(k,2) are constructed for k < 0 and k > 0 or = 0, respectively. Phase operators associated with A(k,2) are defined and temporally stable phase states (as well as vector phase states) are constructed as eigenstates of these operators. Finally, we discuss a relation between quantized phase states and a quadratic discrete Fourier transform and show how to use these states for constructing mutually unbiased bases.

Electromagnetic Excitations of A_n Quantum Hall Droplets

The classical description of A_n internal degrees of freedom is given by making use of the Fock--Bargmann analytical realization. The symplectic deformation of phase space, including the internal degrees of freedom, is discussed. We show that the Moser's lemma provides a mapping to eliminate the fluctuations of the symplectic structure, which become encoded in the Hamiltonian of the system. We discuss the relation between Moser and Seiberg--Witten maps. One physics applications of this result is the electromagnetic excitation of a large collection of particles, obeying the generalized A_n statistics, living in the complex projective space CP^k with U(1)background magnetic field. We explicitly calculate the bulk and edge actions. Some particular symplectic deformations are also considered.

Phase operators, temporally stable phase states, mutually unbiased bases and exactly solvable quantum systems

We introduce a one-parameter generalized oscillator algebra A(k) (that covers the case of the harmonic oscillator algebra) and discuss its finite- and infinite-dimensional representations according to the sign of the parameter k. We define an (Hamiltonian) operator associated with A(k) and examine the degeneracies of its spectrum. For the finite (when k < 0) and the infinite (when k > 0 or = 0) representations of A(k), we construct the associated phase operators and build temporally stable phase states as eigenstates of the phase operators. To overcome the difficulties related to the phase operator in the infinite-dimensional case and to avoid the degeneracy problem for the finite-dimensional case, we introduce a truncation procedure which generalizes the one used by Pegg and Barnett for the harmonic oscillator. This yields a truncated generalized oscillator algebra A(k,s), where s denotes the truncation order. We construct two types of temporally stable states for A(k,s) (as eigenstates of a phase operator and as eigenstates of a polynomial in the generators of A(k,s)). Two applications are considered in this article. The first concerns physical realizations of A(k) and A(k,s) in the context of one-dimensional quantum systems with finite (Morse system) or infinite (Poeschl-Teller system) discrete spectra. The second deals with mutually unbiased bases used in quantum information.

Symplectic Fluctuations for Electromagnetic Excitations of Hall Droplets

We show that the integer quantum Hall effect systems in plane, sphere or disc, can be formulated in terms of an algebraic unified scheme. This can be achieved by making use of a generalized Weyl--Heisenberg algebra and investigating its basic features. We study the electromagnetic excitation and derive the Hamiltonian for droplets of fermions on a two-dimensional Bargmann space (phase space). This excitation is introduced through a deformation (perturbation) of the symplectic structure of the phase space. We show the major role of Moser's lemma in dressing procedure, which allows us to eliminate the fluctuations of the symplectic structure. We discuss the emergence of the Seiberg--Witten map and generation of an abelian noncommutative gauge field in the theory. As illustration of our model, we give the action describing the electromagnetic excitation of a quantum Hall droplet in two-dimensional manifold.

Magnetism of Two Coupled Harmonic Oscillators

The thermodynamical properties of a system of two coupled harmonic oscillators in the presence of an uniform magnetic field B are investigated. Using an unitary transformation, we show that the system can be diagonalized in simple way and then obtain the energy spectrum solutions. These will be used to determine the thermodynamical potential in terms of different physical parameters like the coupling parameter α. This allows us to give a generalization of already significant published work and obtain different results, those could be used to discuss the magnetism of the system. Different limiting cases, in terms of αand B, have been discussed. In fact, quantum corrections to the Landau diamagnetism and orbital paramagnetism are found.
