From quadratic Hamiltonians of polymomenta to abstract geometrical Maxwell-like and Einstein-like equations

The aim of this paper is to create a large geometrical background on the dual 1-jet space J^{1*}(T,M) for a multi-time Hamiltonian approach of the electromagnetic and gravitational physical fields. Our geometric-physical construction is achieved starting only from a given quadratic Hamiltonian function of polymomenta H, which naturally produces a canonical nonlinear connection N, a canonical Cartan N-linear connection CΓ(N) and their corresponding local distinguished (d-) torsions and curvatures. In such a context, we construct some geometrical electromagnetic-like and gravitational-like field theories which are characterized by some natural geometrical Maxwell-like and Einstein-like equations. Some abstract and geometrical conservation laws for the multi-time Hamiltonian gravitational physical field are also given.

A distinguished Riemannian geometrization for quadratic Hamiltonians of polymomenta

In this paper we construct a distinguished Riemannian geometrization on the dual 1-jet space J^{1*}(T,M) for the multi-time quadratic Hamiltonian functions. Our geometrization includes a nonlinear connection N, a generalized Cartan canonical N-linear connection (together with its local d-torsions and d-curvatures), naturally provided by a given quadratic Hamiltonian function depending on polymomenta.

From a dynamical system of the knee to natural jet geometrical objects

In this paper we construct some natural geometrical objects on the 1-jet space J^1(R,R^3), like a nonlinear connection, a Cartan linear connection (together with its d-torsions and d-curvatures), a jet "electromagnetic" d-field and its geometric "electromagnetic" Yang-Mills energy, starting from a given dynamical system governing the three-dimensional motion of the knee in the mathematical model introduced by Grood and Suntay. The corresponding Yang-Mills energetic surfaces of constant level (produced by this knee dynamical system) are studied.

Jet Finslerian geometry of the conformal Minkowski metric

The paper develops the Finsler-like geometry on the 1-jet space for the jet conformal Minkowski (JCM) metric, which naturally extends the Minkowski metric in the Chernov-Pavlov framework. To this aim there are determined the nonlinear connection, distinguished (d-) Cartan linear connection, d-torsions and d-curvatures. The field geometrical gravitational and electromagnetic d-models based on the JCM metric are discussed.

The local description of the Ricci and Bianchi identities for an h-normal N-linear connection on the dual 1-jet space J^{1*}(T,M)

In this paper we describe the local Ricci and Bianchi identities for an h-normal N-linear connection DΓ(N) on the dual 1-jet space J^{1*}(T,M). To reach this aim, we firstly give the expressions of the local distinguished (d-) adapted components of torsion and curvature tensors produced by DΓ(N), and then we analyze their attached local Ricci identities. The derived deflection d-tensor identities are also presented. Finally, we expose the local expressions of the Bianchi identities (in the particular case of an h-normal N-linear connection of Cartan type), which geometrically connect the local torsion and curvature d-tensors of the linear connection DΓ(N).

1-Jet Riemann-Finsler Geometry for the Three-Dimensional Time

The aim of this paper is to develop on the 1-jet space J^1(R,M^3) the Finsler-like geometry (in the sense of distinguished (d-) connection, d-torsions and d-curvatures) of the rheonomic Berwald-Moor metric of order three. Some natural geometrical field theories (gravitational and electromagnetic) produced by the preceding rheonomic Berwald-Moor metric of order three are also exposed.

Geometric Dynamics of Plasma in Jet Spaces with Berwald-Moor Metric

In this paper we construct the differential equations of the stream lines that characterize plasma regarded as a non-isotropic medium geometrized by a jet rheonomic time-invariant Berwald-Moor metric. Section 1 contains historical notes regarding the Plasma Physics and its geometrical description. Section 2 analyzes the generalized Lagrange geometrical approach of the non-isotropic plasma on 1-jet spaces. Section 3 studies the non-isotropic plasma as a medium geometrized by the jet rheonomic Berwald-Moor metric.

Geometrical Objects on the First Order Jet Space $J^1(T,R^5)$ Produced by the Lorenz Atmospheric DEs System

The aim of this paper is to construct natural geometrical objects on the 1-jet space J^1(T,R^5), where $T/subset R$, like a non-linear connection, a generalized Cartan connection, together with its d-torsions and d-curvatures, a jet electromagnetic d-field and a jet Yang-Mills energy, starting from the given Lorenz atmospheric DEs system and the pair of Euclidian metrics $/Delta = (1,/delta_{ij})$ on $T/times R^5$.

Jet Geometrical Objects Depending on a Relativistic Time

In this paper we study a collection of jet geometrical concepts, we refer to d-tensors, relativistic time dependent semisprays, harmonic curves and nonlinear connections on the 1-jet space J1(R;M), necessary to the construction of a Miron's-like geometrization for Lagrangians depending on a relativistic time. The geometrical relations between these jet geometrical objects are exposed.

Local Bianchi Identities in the Relativistic Non-Autonomous Lagrange Geometry

The aim of this paper is to describe the local Bianchi identities for an $h$-normal $Γ$-linear connection of Cartan type $\nablaΓ$ on the first-order jet space $J^1(R,M)$. In this direction, we present the local expressions of the adapted components of the torsion and curvature d-tensors produced by $\nablaΓ$ and we give the general local expressions of Bianchi identities which connect these d-torsions and d-curvatures.

Canonical Nonlinear Connections in the Multi-Time Hamilton Geometry

In this paper we study some geometrical objects (d-tensors, multi-time semisprays of polymomenta and nonlinear connections) on the dual 1-jet vector bundle $J^{1*}(\cal{T}, M)\to \cal{T}\times M$. Some geometrical formulas, which connect the last two geometrical objects, are also derived. Finally, a canonical nonlinear connection produced by a Kronecker $h$-regular multi-time Hamiltonian is given.

Distinguished Torsion, Curvature and Deflection Tensors in the Multi-Time Hamilton Geometry

The aim of this paper is to present the main geometrical objects on the dual 1-jet bundle $J^{1*}(\cal{T},M)$ (this is the polymomentum phase space of the De Donder-Weyl covariant Hamiltonian formulation of field theory) that characterize our approach of multi-time Hamilton geometry. In this direction, we firstly introduce the geometrical concept of a nonlinear connection $N$ on the dual 1-jet space $J^{1*}(\cal{T},M)$. Then, starting with a given $N$-linear connection $D$ on $J^{1*}(\cal{T},M)$, we describe the adapted components of the torsion, curvature and deflection distinguished tensors attached to the $N$-linear connection $D$.

Jet Berwald-Riemann-Lagrange Geometrization for Affine Maps between Finsler Manifolds

In this paper we introduce a natural definition for the affine maps between two Finsler manifolds $(M, F)$ and $(N,\tilde F)$ and we give some geometrical properties of these affine maps. Starting from the equations of the affine maps, we construct a natural Berwald-Riemann-Lagrange geometry on the 1-jet space $J^1(TM;N)$, in the sense of a Berwald nonlinear connection $Γ^b_jet$, a Berwald $Γ^b_jet$-linear d-connection $BΓ^b_jet$, together with its d-torsions and d-curvatures, which geometrically characterizes the initial affine maps between Finsler manifolds.

On Cartan Spaces with the $m$-th Root Metric $K(x,p)=\sqrt[m]{a^{i_{1}i_{2}...i_{m}}(x)p_{i_{1}}p_{i_{2}}...p_{i_{m}}}$

The aim of this paper is to expose some geometrical properties of the locally Minkowski-Cartan space with the Berwald-Moor metric of momenta. This space is regarded as a particular case of the $m$-th root Cartan space. Thus, Section 2 studies the $v$-covariant derivation components of the $m$-th root Cartan space. Section 3 computes the $v$-curvature d-tensor $S^{hijk}$ of the m-th root Cartan space and studies conditions for $S3$-likeness. Section 4 computes the $T$-tensor $T^{hijk}$ of the m-th root Cartan space. Section 5 particularizes the preceding geometrical results for the Berwald-Moor metric of momenta.

Canonical Nonlinear Connections on Jet Bundles of First Order

The aim of this paper is to open the problem of construction of a nonlinear connection $Γ=(M^{(i)}_{(α)β}, N^{(i)}_{(α)j})$ on the jet bundle of first order $J^1(T,M)$, which to be canonically produced by a Kronecker product vertical metrical d-tensor $G^{(α)(β)}_{(i)(j)}=h^{αβ}g_{ij}$, possibly provided by multi-time dependent quadratic Lagrangians coming from various branches of theoretical physics: bosonic strings theory, electrodynamics or elasticity.

From PDE Systems and Metrics to Generalized Field Theories

The paper proved that every $C^2$-solution of a given first order PDEs system, regarded on the jet fibre bundle of order one $J^1(T,M)$, may be viewed as a "generalized harmonic map", via the least squares variational method. Our ideas are structured in the following way: 1) we find a suitable geometrical structure on $J^1(T,M)$ that convert the solutions of the given PDEs system into "generalized harmonic maps"; 2) we build a natural geometry induced by a such PDEs system; 3) we construct a field theory, in a general setting, naturally attached to this PDEs system.
