An improved Liouville-type theorem for the stationary tropical climate model

In this paper, we study the Liouville-type property for smooth solutions to the steady 3D tropical climate model. We prove that if a smooth solution (u,v,θ)(u,v,θ) satisfies u∈L3(R3)u \in L^3 (\mathbb{R}^3), v∈L2(R3)v \in L^2 (\mathbb{R}^3), and ∇θ∈L2(R3)\nabla θ\in L^2 (\mathbb{R}^3), then u=v=0u=v=0 and θθ is constant, which improves the previous result, Theorem 1.3 (Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 44, 2021) by Ding and Wu.

Improved bounds for box dimensions of potential singular points to the Navier--Stokes equations

In this paper, we study the potential singular points of interior and boundary suitable weak solutions to the 3D Navier--Stokes equations. It is shown that upper box dimension of interior singular points and boundary singular points are bounded by 7/67/6 and 10/910/9, respectively. Both proofs rely on recent progress of ε\varepsilon-regularity criteria at one scale.

A new local regularity criterion for suitable weak solutions of the Navier--Stokes equations in terms of the velocity gradient

We study the partial regularity of suitable weak solutions to the three dimensional incompressible Navier--Stokes equations. There have been several attempts to refine the Caffarelli--Kohn--Nirenberg criterion (1982). We present an improved version of the CKN criterion with a direct method, which also provides the quantitative relation in Seregin's criterion (2007).

A parabolic Triebel-Lizorkin space estimate for the fractional Laplacian operator

In this paper we prove a parabolic Triebel-Lizorkin space estimate for the operator given by Tαf(t,x)=∫0t∫RdPα(t−s,x−y)f(s,y)dyds,T^αf(t,x) = \int_0^t \int_{{\mathbb R}^d} P^α(t-s,x-y)f(s,y) dyds, where the kernel is Pα(t,x)=∫Rde2πix⋅ξe−t∣ξ∣αdξ.P^α(t,x) = \int_{{\mathbb R}^d} e^{2πix\cdotξ} e^{-t|ξ|^α} dξ. The operator TαT^α maps from LpFsp,qL^{p}F_{s}^{p,q} to LpFs+α/pp,qL^{p}F_{s+α/p}^{p,q} continuously. It has an application to a class of stochastic integro-differential equations of the type du=−(−Δ)α/2udt+fdXtdu = -(-Δ)^{α/2} u dt + f dX_t.

An estimate of the second moment of a sampling of the Riemann zeta function on the critical line

We investigate the second moment of a random sampling ζ(1/2+iXt)ζ(1/2+iX_t) of the Riemann zeta function on the critical line. Our main result states that if XtX_t is an increasing random sampling with gamma distribution, then for all sufficiently large tt, E∣ζ(1/2+iXt)∣2=log⁡t+O(log⁡tlog⁡log⁡t).\mathbb{E} |ζ(1/2+iX_t)|^2 = \log t + O(\sqrt{\log t}\log\log t).

On regularity and singularity for L∞(0,T;L3,w(R3))L^\infty(0,T;L^{3,w}(\mathbb{R}^3)) solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations

We study local regularity properties of a weak solution uu to the Cauchy problem of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. We present a new regularity criterion for the weak solution uu satisfying the condition L∞(0,T;L3,w(R3))L^\infty(0,T;L^{3,w}(\mathbb{R}^3)) without any smallness assumption on that scale, where L3,w(R3)L^{3,w}(\mathbb{R}^3) denotes the standard weak Lebesgue space. As an application, we conclude that there are at most a finite number of blowup points at any singular time tt. The condition that the weak Lebesgue space norm of the veclocity field uu is bounded in time is encompassing type I singularity and significantly weaker than the end point case of the so-called Ladyzhenskaya-Prodi-Serrin condition proved by Escauriaza-Sergin-Šverák.

The Minkowski dimension of interior singular points in the incompressible Navier--Stokes equations

We study the possible interior singular points of suitable weak solutions to the three dimensional incompressible Navier--Stokes equations. We present an improved parabolic upper Minkowski dimension of the possible singular set. It is bounded by 95/6395/63. The result also continue to hold for the three dimensional incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations without any difficulty.

On Initial-Boundary Value Problem of Stochastic Heat Equation in a Lipschitz Cylinder

We consider the initial boundary value problem of non-homogeneous stochastic heat equation. The derivative of the solution with respect to time receives heavy random perturbation. The space boundary is Lipschitz and we impose non-zero cylinder condition. We prove a regularity result after finding suitable spaces for the solution and the pre-assigned datum in the problem. The tools from potential theory, harmonic analysis and probability are used. Some Lemmas are as important as the main Theorem.
