Automorphisms of generalised Kummer fourfolds

We classify non symplectic prime order automorphisms and all finite order symplectic automorphism groups of generalised Kummer fourfolds using lattice theory and recent results on ample cones and monodromy groups. We study various geometric realisations of the automorphisms obtained in the classification. In the case of higher dimensional generalised Kummers, we provide full results for finite symplectic automorphisms groups and we sketch the classification for prime order non-symplectic groups.

Automorphisms of O'Grady's Manifolds Acting Trivially on Cohomology

We determine the subgroup of automorphisms acting trivially on the second integral cohomology for hyperkaehler manifolds which are deformation equivalent to O'Grady's sporadic examples. In particular, we prove that this subgroup is trivial in the ten dimensional case and isomorphic to (Z/2Z)×8(\mathbb{Z}/2\mathbb{Z})^{\times 8} in the six dimensional case. Furthermore we study the fixed loci of the automorphisms in the six dimensional case.

Moduli Spaces of Stable Pairs in Donaldson-Thomas Theory

Let (X,OX(1))(X,\mathcal{O}_X(1)) be a polarized smooth projective variety over the complex numbers. Fix D∈coh(X)\mathcal{D}\in \mathrm{coh}(X) and a nonnegative rational polynomial δδ. Using GIT we contruct a coarse moduli space for δδ-semistable pairs (E,ϕ)(\mathcal{E},ϕ) consisting of a coherent sheaf E\mathcal{E} and a homomorphism ϕ ⁣:D→Eϕ\colon \mathcal{D}\rightarrow \mathcal{E}. We prove a chamber structure result and establish a connection to the moduli space of coherent systems constructed by Le Potier in \cite{LeP} and \cite{LeP2}.

Induced Automorphisms on Irreducible Symplectic Manifolds

We introduce the notion of induced automorphisms in order to state a criterion to determine whether a given automorphism on a manifold of K3[n]K3^{[n]} type is, in fact, induced by an automorphism of a K3K3 surface and the manifold is a moduli space of stable objects on the K3K3. This criterion is applied to the classification of non-symplectic prime order automorphisms on manifolds of K3[2]K3^{[2]} type and we prove that almost all cases are covered. Variations of this notion and the above criterion are introduced and discussed for the other known deformation types of irreducible symplectic manifolds. Furthermore we provide a description of the Picard lattice of several irreducible symplectic manifolds having a lagrangian fibration.

Non-natural non-symplectic involutions on symplectic manifolds of K3^{[2]}-type

We study non-symplectic involutions on irreducible symplectic manifolds of K3^{[2]}-type with 19 parameters, which is the second largest possible. We classify the conjugacy classes of cohomological representations into four different types and show that there are at most five deformation types, two of which are given by natural involutions and their flops. Next, we give a geometric realisation of one of the new types using moduli spaces of sheaves on K3 surfaces. The geometry of the manifold and the new involution is described in detail.

Tautological Sheaves: Stability, Moduli Spaces and Restrictions to Generalised Kummer Varieties

Results on stability of tautological sheaves on Hilbert schemes of points are extended to higher dimensions and transferred to abelian surfaces and to the restriction of tautological sheaves to generalised Kummer varieties. This provides a big class of new examples of stable sheaves on higher dimensional irreducible symplectic manifolds. Some aspects of deformations of tautological sheaves are studied.
