Generalized kinetic equations for charge carriers in graphene

A system of generalized kinetic equations for the distribution functions of two-dimensional Dirac fermions scattered by impurities is derived in the Born approximation with respect to short-range impurity potential. It is proven that the conductivity following from classical Boltzmann equation picture, where electrons or holes have scattering amplitude reduced due chirality, is justified except for an exponentially narrow range of chemical potential near the conical point. When in this range, creation of infinite number of electron-hole pairs related to quasi-relativistic nature of electrons in graphene results in a renormalization of minimal conductivity as compared to the Boltzmann term and logarithmic corrections in the conductivity similar to the Kondo effect.

A nature of low-temperature resistivity minimum in ceramic manganites

Measurements of magnetoresistance and magnetization were carried out on ceramic samples of La_{0.5}Pb_{0.5}MnO_{3} and La_{0.5}Pb_{0.5}MnO_{3}, containing 10 at. % Ag in a dispersed form. The results obtained for the resistivity at zero applied magnetic field exhibit a shallow minimum at temperatures T about 25 K - 30 K, which shifts towards lower temperatures upon applying magnetic field and disappears at a certain (rather low) field. Also the resistivity at helium temperature decreases upon applying magnetic fields. It is shown that the model of spin-dependent carrier tunneling between antiferromagnetically coupled grains may account for the results observed.

Long-time asymptotic of temporal-spatial coherence function for light propagation through time dependent disorder

Long-time asymptotic of field-field correlator for radiation propagated through a medium composed of random point-like scatterers is studied using Bete-Salpeter equation. It is shown that for plane source the fluctuation intensity (zero spatial moment of the correlator) obeys a power-logarithmic stretched exponential decay law, the exponent and preexponent being dependent on the scattering angle. Spatial center of gravity and dispersion of the correlator (normalized first and second spatial moments, respectively) prove to weakly diverge as time tends to infinity. A spin analogy of this problem is discussed.
