On the possibility of primordial torsion detection from magnetic helicity and energy spectra

The purpose of this paper is twofold: First lending more support to torsion alternative gravity theories to General Relativity and cosmology and torsion detection by showing how they can simply used in the investigation of helicity and magnetic energy spectra of primordial fields by using a strong value of torsion of $10MeV$ previously computed by the author. dynamo mechanism seeds in the Primordial Universe has been a matter of intense investigation lately. The second purpose is to apply these torsion theories in the special random spins gauge where its time component torsion gauge $T^{0}=0$, which implies that spins of the nucleons are polarised orthogonal to QCD domain walls. A modification of circular polarization at $1Mpc$ scale, give rise to left torsion helicity which using a QCD seed $B_{QCD}\sim{10^{16}G}$ yields MF of $B_{-}\sim{10^{30}Gauss}$ which was the value obtained by Enqvist et al using neutrinos and galactic dynamos at QED scales. The $B_{+}$ mode can be shown to constrain torsion to $T\sim{10^{7}Mev}$ at $1pc$ which can be detected at LHC scales. These constraints at 1Mpc reach only $10^{-10}MeV$

Galactic dynamo seeds from non-superconducting spin-polarised strings

Earlier Enqvist and Olesen have shown that formation of ferromagnetic planar walls in vacuum at GUT scales in comoving plasmas may generate a large scale magnetic field of $B_{now}\simeq{10^{-14}G}$. In this paper we show that starting from classical Einstein-Cartan-Maxwell strong gravity, a spin-polarised ferromagnetic cylinder gives rise to a cosmological magnetic field of the order $B_{now}\simeq{10^{-22}G}$. Vorticity of cylinder is used to obtain galactic magnetic fields. Magnetic fields up to $B\sim{10^{9}G}$ can be obtained from the spin density of the cylinder. If matching conditions are used cosmological magnetic fields of the order of $B\sim{10^{-16}R\frac{Gauss}{cm}}$ where $R$ is the radius of the cosmic strings. For a cosmic string with the radius of an hydrogen atom the cosmic magnetic field is $B\sim{10^{-32}Gauss}$ which is enough to seed galactic dynamos.

Anosov branches of dynamo spectra in one dimensional plasmas

Recently Guenther et al the globally diagonalized $α^{2}$ dynamo operator spectrum [J Phys A 2007) in mean field media, and its Krein space related perturbation theory [J Phys A 2006). Earlier, an example of fast dynamos in stretch shear and fold Anosov maps have been given by Gilbert [PRSA [1993)). In this paper, analytical solutions representing general turbulent dynamo filaments are obtained in resistive plasmas. When turbulent diffusivity is present and kinetic helicity vanishes, a fast dynamo mode is obtained, and the Anosov eigenvalue obtained. The magnetic field lays down on a Frenet 2 plane along the filaments embedded in a 3D flow. Curvature effects on fast dynamo are also investigate. In case of weak curvature filaments the one dimensional manifolds in plasmas present a fast dynamo action. A parallel result has been obtained by Chicone et al [Comm Math Phys), in the case fast dynamo spectrum in two dimensional compact Riemannian manifolds of negative constant curvature, called Anosov spaces. While problems of embedding may appear in their case here no embedding problems appear since the one dimensional curved plasmas are embedded in three dimensional Euclidean spaces. In the examples considered here, equipartion between normal and binormal components of the magnetic field components is considered. In the opposite case, non Anosov oscillatory, purely imaginary, branches of the spectrum are found in dynamo manifold. Negative constant curvature non-compact $\textbf{H}^{2}$ manifold, has also been used in one-component electron 2D plasma by Fantoni and Tellez (Stat. Phys, (2008))

Curvature and folding dynamo effects in turbulent plasmas and ABC flux tubes

Investigation of the eigenvalue spectra of dynamo solutions, has been proved fundamental for the knowledge of dynamo physics. Earlier, curvature-folding relation on dynamos in Riemannian spaces has been investigated [PPL 2008]. Here, analytical solutions representing general turbulent dynamo filaments are obtained in resistive plasmas. Turbulent diffusivity with vanishing kinetic helicity yields a fast mode for a steady dynamo eigenvalue. The magnetic field lays down on a local frame 2 plane along the filaments embedded in a 3D plasma. Curvature effects plays the role of folding in fast magnetic dynamos. In the present examples, plasma equipartition between normal and binormal components of the magnetic field components is considered. In the opposite case, oscillatory, purely imaginary, branches of the spectrum are found in dynamo manifold. Degenerate eigenvalues, are obtained when the dynamo growth rate coincides with the filaments curvature. Spectra of dynamo obtained are similar to the fast dynamo solution obtained by Arnold on a compact torus. Dynamo experiments making use of this kind of solution have been investigated by Shukurov et al [Phys Rev E, 2008] with Perm liquid sodium experiments on a circular torus implications. Another example of dynamo plasma is given by the Arnold-Beltrami-Childress [ABC] twisted magnetic flux tubes with stagnation points.

Dynamos driven by poloidal flows in untwisted, curved and flat Riemannian diffusive flux tubes

Recently Vishik anti-fast dynamo theorem, has been tested against non-stretching flux tubes [Phys Plasmas 15 (2008)]. In this paper, another anti-dynamo theorem, called Cowling's theorem, which states that axisymmetric magnetic fields cannot support dynamo action, is carefully tested against thick tubular and curved Riemannian untwisted flows, as well as thin flux tubes in diffusive and diffusionless media. In the non-diffusive media the Cowling's theorem is not violated in thin Riemann-flat untwisted flux tubes, where the Frenet curvature is negative. Nevertheless the diffusion action in the thin flux tube leads to a a dynamo action driven by poloidal flows as shown by Love and Gubbins (Geophysical Res.) in the context of geodynamos. Actually it is shown that a slow dynamo action is obtained. In this case the Frenet and Riemann curvature still vanishes. In the case of magnetic filaments in diffusive media dynamo action is obtained when the Frenet scalar curvature is negative. Since the Riemann curvature tensor can be expressed in terms of the Frenet curvature of the magnetic flux tube axis, this result can be analogous to a recent result obtained by Chicone, Latushkin and Smith, which states that geodesic curvature in compact Riemannian manifolds can drive dynamo action in the manifold. It is also shown that in absence of diffusion, magnetic energy does not grow but magnetic toroidal magnetic field can be generated by the poloidal field, what is called a plasma dynamo.

The necessity of non-Riemannian acoustic spacetime in the fluids with vorticity

The necessity of a newly proposed (PRD 70 (2004) 64004) non-Riemannian acoustic spacetime structure called acoustic torsion of sound wave equation in fluids with vorticity are discussed. It is shown that this structure, although not always necessary is present in fluids with vorticity even when the perturbation is rotational. This can be done by solving the Bergliaffa et al (Physica D (2004)) gauge invariant equations for sound, superposed to a general background flow, needs to support a non-Riemannian acoustic geometry in effective spacetime. Bergliaffa et al have previously shown that a Riemannian structure cannot be associated to this gauge invariant general system.

Geometric Phase for Fermionic Quasiparticles Scattering by Disgyration in Superfluids

We consider a Volovik's analog model for description of a topological defects in a superfluid and we investigate the scattering of quasiparticles in this background. The analog of the gravitational Aharonov-Bohm in this system is found. An analysis of this problem employing loop variables is considered and corroborates for the existence of the Aharonov-Bohm effect in this system. The results presented here may be used to study the Aharonov-Bohm effect in superconductors.

Non-Riemannian geometry of vortex acoustics

The concept of acoustic metric introduced previously by Unruh (PRL-1981) is extended to include Cartan torsion by analogy with the scalar wave equation in Riemann-Cartan (RC) spacetime. This equation describes irrotational perturbations in rotational non-relativistic fluids. This physical motivation allows us to show that the acoustic line element can be conformally mapped to the line element of a stationary torsion loop in non-Riemannian gravity. Two examples of such sonic analogues are given. The first is when we choose the static torsion loop in teleparallel gravity. In this case Cartan torsion vector in the far from the vortex approximation is shown to be proportional to the quantum vortex number of the superfluid. Also in this case the torsion vector is shown to be proportional to the superfluid vorticity in the presence of vortices. Torsion loops in RC spacetime does not favor the formation of superfluid vortices. It is suggested that the teleparallel model may help to find a model for superfluid neutron stars vortices based on non-Riemannian gravity.

Spin polarised magnetized cylinder in torsioned spacetime

A Spin-polarised cylindrically symmetric exact class of solutions endowed with magnetic fields in Einstein-Cartan-Maxwell gravity is obtained. Application of matching conditions to this interior solution having an exterior as Einstein's vacuum solution shows that for this class of metrics the Riemann-Cartan (RC) rotation vanishes which makes the solution static. Therefore we end up with a magnetized static spin polarised cylinder where the pressure along the symmetry axis is negative.

On Spin-driven inflation from fields in General Relativity and COBE data

Obukhov spin-driven inflation in General Relativity is extended to include inflaton fields.A de Sitter phase solution is obtained and new slow-rolling conditions for the spin potential are obtained. The spin potential reduces to Obukhov result at the present epoch of the Universe where the spin density is low with comparison to the Early Universe spin densities.A relation betwenn the spin density energy and the temperature fluctuation can be obtained which allow us to determine the spin density energy in terms of the COBE data for temperature fluctuations.

On Superconductors,Superfluids and Torsion Vortices

The Meissner effect for superconductors in spacetimes with torsion is revisited. Two new physical interpretations are presented. The first considers the Landau-Ginzburg theory yields a new symmetry-breaking vacuum depending on torsion. In the second interpretation a gravitational Meissner torsional effect where when the Higgs field vanishes, torsion and electromagnetic fields need not vanish and outside the Abrikosov tubes a torsion vector analogous to the Maxwell potential is obtained. The analogy is even stronger if we think that in this case the torsion vector has to be derivable from a torsion potential. Another solution of Landau-Ginzburg equation is shown to lead naturally to the geometrization of the electromagnetism in terms of the torsion field. As an application we show that Landau-Ginzburg equations extended to Cartan spaces allow us to determine torsion in the case when the order parameter is frozen to a minimum. It is shown that the presence of torsion in solid state physics changes the ground state of the superfluid phases.

Space-time defects :Domain walls and torsion

The theory of distributions in non-Riemannian spaces is used to obtain exact static thin domain wall solutions of Einstein-Cartan equations of gravity. Curvature $ δ$-singularities are found while Cartan torsion is given by Heaviside functions. Weitzenböck planar walls are caracterized by torsion $δ$-singularities and zero curvature. It is shown that Weitzenböck static thin domain walls do not exist exactly as in general relativity. The global structure of Weitzenböck nonstatic torsion walls is investigated.
