A One-Dimensional Model for Star Formation Near a "Leaky" Black Hole

In the presence of a Weyl scaling invariant cosmological action, black holes no longer have an event horizon and an apparent horizon. So they have no trapped surfaces, and may be "leaky", emitting a "black hole wind" which could lead to star formation in the neighborhood of the hole. In this paper we formulate and analyze a one-dimensional model for star formation resulting from a postulated outgoing black hole particle flux, incident on a distant spherical surface modeled as a set of planar disks surrounding the hole. Using the Toomre analysis of the Jeans instability of a disk, we compute conditions for a disk collapse instability and estimate the collapse time. We suggest a mechanism for giving the disk angular momentum around the central black hole. This gives a possible explanation for the puzzling observation of young stars forming in the vicinity of the black hole Sagittarius A* central to the Milky Way galaxy.

Redundancies and Profundities

We reevaluate the status of the gauge principle and reposition it as an intermediary structure dependent on the initial conditions we endow on our theory. We explore how the gauge symmetry manifests in the context of basic quantum electrodynamics, spontaneous symmetry breaking and the modern scattering amplitudes program. We also investigate the addition of an auxiliary field in $ϕ^4$ theory and see how the dynamics are altered. Modal language is pointed to and utilized as a convenient way to articulate the weight gauge symmetry demands in our theories as well as the principles of locality and Lorentz invariance. A shifting scale ontology is introduced with regards to the gauge principle and other structures of Quantum Field Theory in general.

Celestial Operator Product Expansions and ${\rm w}_{1+\infty}$ Symmetry for All Spins

The operator product expansion of massless celestial primary operators of arbitrary spin is investigated. Poincaré symmetry is found to imply a set of recursion relations on the operator product expansion coefficients of the leading singular terms at tree-level in a holomorphic limit. The symmetry constraints are solved by an Euler beta function with arguments that depend simply on the right-moving conformal weights of the operators in the product. These symmetry-derived coefficients are shown not only to match precisely those arising from momentum-space tree-level collinear limits, but also to obey an infinite number of additional symmetry transformations that respect the algebra of ${\rm w}_{1+\infty}$. In tree-level minimally-coupled gravitational theories, celestial currents are constructed from light transforms of conformally soft gravitons and found to generate the action of ${\rm w}_{1+\infty}$ on arbitrary massless celestial primaries. Results include operator product expansion coefficients for fermions as well as those arising from higher-derivative non-minimal couplings of gluons and gravitons.
