Supercongruences of multiple harmonic qq-sums and generalized finite/symmetric multiple zeta values

The Kaneko--Zagier conjecture describes a correspondence between finite multiple zeta values and symmetric multiple zeta values. Its refined version has been established by Jarossay, Rosen and Ono--Seki--Yamamoto. In this paper, we explicate these conjectures through studies of multiple harmonic qq-sums. We show that the (generalized) finite/symmetric multiple zeta value are obtained by taking an algebraic/analytic limit of multiple harmonic qq-sums. As applications, new proofs of reversal, duality and cyclic sum formulas for the generalized finite/symmetric multiple zeta values are given.

On linear relations among totally odd multiple zeta values related to period polynomials

We show that there is a relationship between modular forms and totally odd multiple zeta values, by relating the matrix EN,rE_{N,r}, whose entries are given by the polynomial representations of the Ihara action, with even period polynomials. We also consider the matrix CN,rC_{N,r} defined by Brown and give a new upper bound of the rank of CN,4C_{N,4}. This result gives support to the uneven part of the motivic Broadhurst-Kreimer conjecture of depth 4.

Eisenstein series identities based on partial fraction decomposition

From the theory of modular forms, there are exactly [(k−2)/6][(k-2)/6] linear relations among the Eisenstein series EkE_k and its products E2iEk−2i (2≤i≤[k/4])E_{2i}E_{k-2i}\ (2\le i \le [k/4]). We present explicit formulas among these modular forms based on the partial fraction decomposition, and use them to determining a basis of the space of modular forms of weight kk on SL2(Z){\rm SL}_2({\mathbb Z}).

Modular parametrizations of certain elliptic curves

Kaneko and Sakai recently observed that certain elliptic curves whose associated newforms (by the modularity theorem) are given by the eta-quotients can be characterized by a particular differential equation involving modular forms and Ramanujan-Serre differential operator. In this paper, we study certain properties of modular parametrizations associated to the elliptic curves over Q, and as a consequence we generalize and explain some of their findings.
