Dynamical stability by spin transfer in nearly isotropic magnets

Spin transfer torques (STTs) control magnetisation by electric currents, enabling a range of nano-scale spintronic applications. They can destabilise the equilibrium magnetisation state by counteracting magnetic relaxation. Here, we maximise the STT effect through a dedicated growth-annealing protocol for CoFeB thin films, such that magnetic anisotropies originating from the interface and shape almost cancel each other. The nearly isotropic magnets enable low-current dynamical stabilisation of the magnetisation in the direction opposite to an applied magnetic field, thereby realising a spintronic analogue of the Kapitza pendulum. In an intermediate current regime, the STT drives large magnetisation vector fluctuations that cover the entire Bloch sphere. The continuous variable associated with the stochastic magnetisation direction may serve as a resource for probabilistic computing and neuromorphic hardware. Our results establish isotropic magnets as a platform to study as-yet-uncharted, far-from-equilibrium spin dynamics including anti-magnonics, with promising implications for unconventional computing paradigms.

The International Linear Collider: Report to Snowmass 2021

The International Linear Collider (ILC) is on the table now as a new global energy-frontier accelerator laboratory taking data in the 2030s. The ILC addresses key questions for our current understanding of particle physics. It is based on a proven accelerator technology. Its experiments will challenge the Standard Model of particle physics and will provide a new window to look beyond it. This document brings the story of the ILC up to date, emphasizing its strong physics motivation, its readiness for construction, and the opportunity it presents to the US and the global particle physics community.

4D modular flavor symmetric models inspired by higher dimensional theory

We study a scenario to derive four-dimensional modular flavor symmetric models from higher dimensional theory by assuming the compactification consistent with the modular symmetry. In our scenario, wavefunctions in extra dimensional compact space are modular forms. That leads to constraints on combinations between modular weights and $Γ_N$ ($Γ_N')$ representations of matter fields. We also present illustrating examples.

Lepton flavor violation, lepton $(g-2)_{μ,\,e}$ and electron EDM in the modular symmetry

We study the lepton flavor violation (LFV), the leptonic magnetic moments $(g-2)_{μ,\,e} $ and the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the electron in the Standard-Model Effective Field Theory with the $Γ_N$ modular flavor symmetry. We employ the stringy Ansatz on coupling structure that 4-point couplings of matter fields are written by a product of 3-point couplings of matter fields. We take the level 3 finite modular group, $Γ_3$ for the flavor symmetry, and discuss the dipole operators at nearby fixed point $τ=i$, where observed lepton masses and mixing angles are well reproduced. Suppose the anomaly of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon to be evidence of the new physics (NP), we have related it with $(g-2)_{e}$, LFV decays, and the electron EDM. It is found that the NP contribution to $(g-2)_{e}$ is proportional to the lepton masses squared likewise the naive scaling. We also discuss the correlations among the LFV processes $μ\to eγ$, $τ\to μγ$ and $τ\to eγ$, which are testable in the future. The electron EDM requires the tiny imaginary part of the relevant Wilson coefficient in the basis of real positive charged lepton masses, which is related to the $μ\to eγ$ transition in our framework.

Modular symmetry in the SMEFT

We study the modular symmetric standard-model effective field theory. We employ the stringy Ansatz on coupling structure that 4-point couplings $y^{(4)}$ of matter fields are written by a product of 3-point couplings $y^{(3)}$ of matter fields, i.e., $y^{(4)} = y^{(3)}y^{(3)}$. In this framework, we discuss the flavor structure of bilinear fermion operators and 4-fermion operators, where the holomorphic and anti-holomorphic modular forms appear. From the Ansatz, the $A_4$ modular-invariant semileptonic four-fermion operator $[\,\bar E_R ΓE_R][\,\bar D_R ΓD_R\,]$ does not lead to the flavor changing (FC) processes since this operator would be constructed in terms of gauge couplings $g$ as $y^{(3)} \sim g$. The chirality flipped bilinear operator $[\,\bar D_R ΓD_L\,]$ also does not lead FC if the mediated mode corresponds to the Higgs boson $H_d$. In this case, the flavor structure of this operator is the exactly same as the mass matrix. On the other hand, if the flavor structure of the operator is not the exactly same as the mass matrix, the situation would change drastically. Then, we obtain the non-trivial relations of FC transitions at nearby fixed points $τ=i,\,ω\,, i\infty$, which are testable in the future. As an application, we discuss the relations of the lepton flavor violation processes $ μ\to eγ,\, τ\to μγ$ and $τ\to eγ$ at nearby $τ_e=i$, where the successful lepton mass matrix was obtained. We also study the flavor changing 4-quark operators in the $A_4$ modular symmetry of quarks. As a result, the minimal flavor violation could be realized by taking relevant specific parameter sets of order one.

Acoustic ferromagnetic resonance and spin pumping induced by surface acoustic waves

Voltage induced magnetization dynamics of magnetic thin films is a valuable tool to study anisotropic fields, exchange couplings, magnetization damping and spin pumping mechanism. A particularly well established technique is the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) generated by the coupling of microwave photons and magnetization eigenmodes in the GHz range. Here we review the basic concepts of the so-called acoustic ferromagnetic resonance technique (a-FMR) induced by the coupling of surface acoustic waves (SAW) and magnetization of thin films. Interestingly, additional to the benefits of the microwave excited FMR technique, the coupling between SAW and magnetization also offers fertile ground to study magnon-phonon and spin rotation couplings. We describe the in-plane magnetic field angle dependence of the a-FMR by measuring the absorption / transmission of SAW and the attenuation of SAW in the presence of rotational motion of the lattice, and show the consequent generation of spin current by acoustic spin pumping.

Nonreciprocal surface acoustic wave propagation via magneto-rotation coupling

One of the most fundamental forms of magnon-phonon interaction is an intrinsic property of magnetic materials, the "magnetoelastic coupling". This particular form of interaction has been the basis for describing magnetic materials and their strain related applications, where strain induces changes of internal magnetic fields. Different from the magnetoelastic coupling, more than 40 years ago, it was proposed that surface acoustic waves may induce surface magnons via rotational motion of the lattice in anisotropic magnets. However, a signature of this magnon-phonon coupling mechanism, termed magneto-rotation coupling, has been elusive. Here, we report the first observation and theoretical framework of the magneto-rotation coupling in a perpendicularly anisotropic ultra-thin film Ta/CoFeB(1.6 nm)/MgO, which consequently induces nonreciprocal acoustic wave attenuation with a unprecedented ratio up to 100$\%$ rectification at the theoretically predicted optimized condition. Our work not only experimentally demonstrates a fundamentally new path for investigating magnon-phonon coupling, but also justify the feasibility of the magneto-rotation coupling based application.

Chargino contributions in light of recent $ε'/ε$

Recently, the standard model prediction of $ε'/ε$ was improved, and a discrepancy from the experimental results was reported at the $2.9σ$ level. We study the chargino contributions to $Z$ penguin especially with the vacuum stability constraint. The vacuum decay rate is investigated, and it is shown that the discrepancy can be explained if superparticles are lighter than 4-6 TeV. Correlations with $\mathcal{B}(K_L\toπ^0ν\barν)$ and other experimental constraints are also discussed.

$\mathcal{I}$-degenerate pseudo-Riemannian metrics

In this paper we study pseudo-Riemannian spaces with a degenerate curvature structure i.e. there exists a continuous family of metrics having identical polynomial curvature invariants. We approach this problem by utilising an idea coming from invariant theory. This involves the existence of a boost which is assumed to extend to a neighbourhood. This approach proves to be very fruitful: It produces a class of metrics containing all known examples of $\mathcal{I}$-degenerate metrics. To date, only Kundt and Walker metrics have been given, however, our study gives a plethora of examples showing that $\mathcal{I}$-degenerate metrics extend beyond the Kundt and Walker examples. The approach also gives a useful criterion for a metric to be $\mathcal{I}$-degenerate. Specifically, we use this to study the subclass of VSI and CSI metrics (i.e., spaces where polynomial curvature invariants are all vanishing or constants, respectively).

$K_L \to π^0 ν{\bar ν}$ decay correlating with $ε_K$ in high-scale SUSY

We have studied the contribution of the high-scale SUSY to the K_L to pi^0 nu{bar nu} and K^+ to pi^+ nu{bar nu} processes correlating with the CP violating parameter epsilon_K. Taking account of the recent LHC results for the Higgs discovery and the SUSY searches, we consider the high-scale SUSY at the 10-50 TeV scale in the framework of the non-minimal squark (slepton) flavor mixing. The Z penguin mediated the chargino dominates the SUSY contribution for these decays. At the 10 TeV scale of the SUSY, the chargino contribution can enhance the branching ratio of K_L to pi^0 nu{bar nu} in eight times compared with the SM predictions whereas the predicted branching ratio BR(K^+ to pi^+ nu {bar nu}) increases up to three times of the SM one. The gluino box diagram dominates the SUSY contribution of epsilon_K up to 30%. If the down-squark mixing is neglected compared with the up-squark mixing, the Z penguin mediated the chargino dominates both SUSY contributions of K_L to pi^0 nu {bar nu} and epsilon_K. Then, it is found a correlation between them, but the chargino contribution to epsilon_K is at most 3%. Even if the SUSY scale is 50TeV, the chargino process still enhances the branching ratio of K_L to pi^0 nu {bar nu} from the SM prediction in the factor two, and epsilon_K is deviated from the SM prediction in O(10%) through the gluino box diagram unless the down-squark mixing is suppressed. We also discuss the chargino contribution to K_L to pi^0 e^+e^- process.

Anomalous Hall effect driven by dipolar spin waves in uniform ferromagnets

A new type of anomalous Hall effect is shown to arise from the interaction of conduction electrons with dipolar spin waves in ferromagnets. This effect exists even in homogeneous ferromagnets without relativistic spin-orbit coupling. The leading contribution to the Hall conductivity is proportional to the chiral spin correlation of dynamical spin textures and is physically understood in terms of the skew scattering by dipolar magnons.

Linking Leptonic CP violation to Quark Unitarity Triangle

We study the linking between the CP violating phase of the lepton sectors and the unitarity triangle of the B0 meson system. Antusch, King, Malinsky and Spinrath have shown that the quark mass matrices with the negligible 1-3 mixing give an interesting relation between the phase of the quark mixing matrices and CP violating measure phi_2(alpha). This approach is extended by considering the SO(10) GUT including the Pati-Salam symmetry, which links the Yukawa matrices of the quark sector to the one of the lepton sector. We discuss the relation of the CP violating phases between both quark and lepton sectors as well as the mixing angles. Then, the leptonic CP violating phase is predicted in terms of the angle of the unitarity triangle of the B0 meson system. The leptonic CP violating phase deltaPMNS is predicted in the region -74 to -89, which is the consistent with the recent T2K results. Our predicted phase is sensitive to phi_2(alpha) and phi_3(gamma). These predictions will be clearly tested in the future neutrino experiments as well as the Belle-II experiment.

Sensitivity of High-Scale SUSY in Low Energy Hadronic FCNC

We discuss the sensitivity of the high-scale SUSY at $10$-$1000$ TeV in $B^0$, $B_s$, $K^0$ and $D$ meson systems together with the neutron EDM and the mercury EDM. In order to estimate the contribution of the squark flavor mixing to these FCNCs,we calculate the squark mass spectrum, which is consistent with the recent Higgs discovery. The SUSY contribution in $ε_K$ could be large, around 40% in the region of the SUSY scale $10$-$100$ TeV. The neutron EDM and the mercury EDM are also sensitive to the SUSY contribution induced by the gluino-squark interaction. The predicted EDMs are roughly proportional to $|ε_K^{\rm SUSY}|$. If the SUSY contribution is the level of O(10%) for epsilon_K, the neutron EDM is expected to be discovered in the region of $10^{-28}$-$10^{-26}$ecm. The mercury EDM also gives a strong constraint for the gluino-squark interaction. The SUSY contribution of $ΔM_D$ is also discussed.

Predicting CP violation in Deviation from Tri-bimaximal mixing of Neutrinos

We study the CP violation in the deviation from the tri-bimaximal mixing (TBM) of neutrinos. We examine non-trivial relations among the mixing angles and the CP violating Dirac phase in the typical four cases of the deviation from the TBM. The first two cases are derived by the additional rotation of the 2-3 or 1-3 generations of neutrinos in the TBM basis. The other two cases are given by the additional rotation of the 1-3 or 1-2 generations of charged leptons with the TBM neutrinos. These four cases predict different relations among three mixing angles and the CP violating Dirac phase. The rotation of the 2-3 generations of neutrinos in the TBM basis predicts $\sin ^2θ_{12}<1/3$, and the CP violating Dirac phase to be $\pm (0.09π\sim 0.76π)$ for NH ($\pm (0.15π\sim 0.73π) \ \text{for IH}$) depending on $\sin ^2θ_{23}$. The rotation of the 1-3 generations of neutrinos in the TBM basis gives $\sin ^2θ_{12}>1/3$. The CP violating Dirac phase is not constrained by the input of the present experimental data. For the case of the 1-3 and 1-2 rotations of charged leptons in the TBM basis, the CP violating Dirac phase is predicted in $\pm(0.35π\sim 0.60π)$ depending on $\sin ^2θ_{12}$ for both NH and IH cases. We also discuss the specific case that $θ_{13}$ is related with the Cabibbo angle $λ$ such as $\sinθ_{13}=λ/\sqrt{2}$, in which the maximal CP violation is preferred. The CP violating Dirac phase can distinguish the lepton flavor mixing patterns at T2K and NO$ν$A experiments in the future.

Probing the high scale SUSY in CP violations of K, B0 and Bs mesons

We probe the high scale SUSY at 10-50 TeV in the CP violations of K, B0 and Bs mesons. In order to estimate the contribution of the squark flavor mixing to these CP violations, we discuss the squark mass spectrum, which is consistent with the recent Higgs discovery. Taking the universal soft parameters at the SUSY breaking scale, we obtain the squark mass spectrum at 10 TeV and 50 TeV, where the SM emerges. Then, the 6times6 mixing matrix between down-squarks and down-quarks is discussed by input of the experimental data of K, B0 and Bs mesons. It is found that epsilon_K is most sensitive to the high scale SUSY. The SUSY contributions for the time-dependent CP asymmetries S_{ J/psi K_S} and S_{ J/psi phi} are 6-8% at the SUSY scale of 10 TeV. We also discuss the SUSY contribution to the chromo-EDM of the strange quark.

Searching for the squark flavor mixing in CP violations of Bs -> K+ K- and K0bar K0 decays

We study CP violations in the B_s-> K+K- and Bs->K0K0 decays in order to find the contribution of the supersymmetry, which comes from the gluino-squark mediated flavor changing current. We obtain the allowed region of the squark flavor mixing parameters by putting the experimental data, the mass difference Delta M_Bs, the CP violating phase phi_s in Bs to J/psi phi decay and the b to s gamma branching ratio. In addition to these data, we take into account the constraint from the asymmetry of B0->K+pi because the Bs->K+K- decay is related with the B0->K+pi- decay by replacing the spectator s with d. Under these constraints, we predict the magnitudes of the CP violation in the Bs->K+K- and Bs->K0K0 decays. The predicted region of the CP violation C_{K+K-} is strongly cut from the direct CP violation of barB0 to K-pi+, therefore, the deviation from the SM prediction of C_{K+K-} is not found. On the other hand, the CP violation S_{K+K-} is possibly deviated from the SM prediction considerably, in the region of 0.1- 0.5. Since the standard model predictions of C_{K0bar K0} and S_{K0bar K0} are very small, the squark contribution can be detectable in C_{K0bar K0} and S_{K0bar K0}. These magnitudes are expected in the region C_{K0bar K0}=-0.06-0.06 and S_{K0bar K0}=-0.5-0.3. More precise data of these CP violations provide us a crucial test for the gluino-squark mediated flavor changing current.

Cosmologies in Horndeski's second-order vector-tensor theory

Horndeski derived a most general vector-tensor theory in which the vector field respects the gauge symmetry and the resulting dynamical equations are of second order. The action contains only one free parameter, $λ$, that determines the strength of the non-minimal coupling between the gauge field and gravity. We investigate the cosmological consequences of this action and discuss observational constraints. For $λ<0$ we identify singularities where the deceleration parameter diverges within a finite proper time. This effectively rules out any sensible cosmological application of the theory for a negative non-minimal coupling. We also find a range of parameter that gives a viable cosmology and study the phenomenology for this case. Observational constraints on the value of the coupling are rather weak since the interaction is higher-order in space-time curvature.

Primordial bispectrum from inflation with background gauge fields

We study the primordial bispectrum of curvature perturbation in the uniform- density slicing generated by the interaction between the inflaton and isotropic background gauge fields. We derive the action up to cubic order in perturbation and take into account all the relevant effects in the leading order of slow-roll expansion. We first treat the quadratic vertices perturbatively and confirm the results of past studies, while identifying their regime of validity. We then extend the analysis to include the effect of the quadratic vertices to all orders by introducing exact linear mode functions, allowing us to make accurate predictions long after horizon crossing where the features of both the power spectrum and the bispectrum are drastically different. It is shown that the spPPectra become constant and scale-invariant in the limit of large e-folding. As a result, we are able to impose reliable constraints on the parameters of our theory using the recent observational data coming from Planck.

Sensitivity of the squark flavor mixing to the CP violation of K, B0 and Bs mesons

We study the sensitivity of the squark flavor mixing to the CP violating phenomena of $K$, $B^0$ and $B_s$ mesons in the framework of the split-family scenario, where the first and second family squarks are very heavy, ${\cal O}(10)$TeV, on the other hand, the third family squark masses are at ${\cal O}(1)$TeV. In order to constrain the gluino-sbottom-quark mixing parameters, we input the experimental data of the CP violations of $K$, $B^0$, and $B_s$ mesons, that is $ε_K$, $ϕ_d$, and $ϕ_s$. The experimental upper bound of the chromo-EDM of the strange quark is also input. In addition, we take account of the observed values $ΔM_{B^0}$, $ΔM_{B_s}$, the CKM mixing $|V_{ub}|$, and the branching ratio of $b\to sγ$. The allowed region of the mixing parameters are obtained as $|δ_{13}^{dL(dR)}|=0\sim 0.01$ and $|δ_{23}^{dL(dR)}|=0\sim 0.04$. By using these values, the deviations from the SM are estimated in the CP violations of the $B^0$ and $B_s$ decays. The deviation from the SM one is tiny in the CP asymmetries of $B^0\to ϕK_S$ and $B^0\to η'K^0$ due to the chromo-EDM of the strange quark. On the other hand, the CP asymmetries $B_s \to ϕϕ$ and $B_s \to ϕη'$ could be largely deviated from the SM predictions. We also predict the time dependent CP asymmetry of $B^0\to K^0\bar K^0$ and the semi-leptonic CP asymmetries of $B^0 \to μ^-X$ and $B_s \to μ^-X$. We expect those precise measurements at Belle II, which will provide us interesting tests for the squark flavor mixing.

Stability analysis of inflation with an SU(2) gauge field

We study anisotropic cosmologies of a scalar field interacting with an SU(2) gauge field via a gauge-kinetic coupling. We analyze Bianchi class A models, which include Bianchi type I, II, VI0, VII0, VIII and IX. The linear stability of isotropic inflationary solution with background magnetic field is shown, which generalizes the known results for U(1) gauge fields. We also study anisotropic inflationary solutions, all of which turn out to be unstable. Then nonlinear stability for the isotropic inflationary solution is examined by numerically investigating the dependence of the late-time behaviour on the initial conditions. We present a number of novel features that may well affect physical predictions and viability of the models. First, in the absence of spatial curvature, strong initial anisotropy leads to a rapid oscillation of gauge field, thwarting convergence to the inflationary attractor. Secondly, the inclusion of spatial curvature destabilizes the oscillatory attractor and the global stability of the isotropic inflation with gauge field is restored. Finally, based on the numerical evidence combined with the knowledge of the eigenvalues for various inflationary solutions, we give a generic lower-bound for the duration of transient anisotropic inflation, which is inversely proportional to the slow-roll parameter.

SUSY contributions to CP violations in $b\to s$ and $b\to d$ transitions facing on new data

We study the contribution of the gluino-squark mediated flavor changing process for the CP violation in $b\to s$ and $b\to d$ transitions facing on recent experimental data. The mass insertion parameters of squarks are constrained by the branching ratios of $b\to sγ$ and $b\to dγ$ decays. In addition, the time dependent CP asymmetries of $B^0\to ϕK_S$ and $B^0\to η' K^0$ decays severely restrict the allowed region of the mass insertion parameter for the $b\to s$ transition. By using these constraints with squark and gluino masses of 1.5 TeV, we predict the CP asymmetries of $B_s\to ϕϕ$, $B_s\to η'ϕ$, and $B^0\to K^0\bar K^0$ decays, as well as the CP asymmetries in $b\to sγ$ and $b\to dγ$ decays. The CP violation in the $B_s\to ϕϕ$ decay is expected to be large owing to the squark flavor mixing, which will be tested at LHCb soon.

Bianchi Class B Spacetimes with Electromagnetic Fields

We carry out a thorough analysis on a class of cosmological spacetimes which admit three space-like Killing vectors of Bianchi class B and contain electromagnetic fields. Using dynamical system analysis, we show that a family of vacuum plane-wave solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations is the stable attractor for expanding universes. Phase dynamics are investigated in detail for particular symmetric models. We integrate the system exactly for some special cases to confirm the qualitative features. Some of the obtained solutions have not been presented previously to the best of our knowledge. Finally, based on those solutions, we discuss the relation between those homogeneous models and perturbations of open FLRW universes. We argue that the vacuum plane-wave modes correspond to a certain long-wavelength limit of electromagnetic perturbations.

Direct CP violation of $b \rightarrow sγ$ and CP asymmetries of non-leptonic B decays in squark flavor mixing

We study the contribution of the squark flavor mixing from the $LR(RL)$ component of the squark mass matrices to the direct CP violation of the $b\to sγ$ decay and the CP-violating asymmetry in the non-leptonic decays of $B$ mesons. The magnitude of the $LR(RL)$ component is constrained by the branching ratio and the direct CP violation of $b\to sγ$. We predict the correlation of the CP asymmetries among $A_{\text{CP}}^{b \to s γ}$, $\mathcal{S}_{ϕK_S}$ and $\mathcal{S}_{η'K^0}$ of the B decays. The precise data of these CP violations will give us the crucial test for our framework of the squark flavor mixing.

Inflation with Multi-Vector-Hair: The Fate of Anisotropy

We study inflation with multiple vector fields. In the presence of non-trivial couplings between the inflaton and the vector fields, it turns out that no-hair conjecture does not hold and vector-hair appears. In the case of uniform couplings, nevertheless, we find that the universe approaches an isotropic final state after transient anisotropic inflationary phases. For general couplings, we numerically show attractors are anisotropic inflation. Even in these cases, it turns out that the inflation always tends to minimize the anisotropy in the expansion of the universe.

Inflationary Dynamics with a Non-Abelian Gauge Field

We study the dynamics of the universe with a scalar field and an SU(2) non-Abelian Gauge (Yang-Mills) field. The scalar field has an exponential potential and the Yang-Mills field is coupled to the scalar field with an exponential function of the scalar field. We find that the magnetic component of the Yang-Mills field assists acceleration of the cosmic expansion and a power-law inflation becomes possible even if the scalar field potential is steep, which may be expected from some compactification of higher-dimensional unified theories of fundamental interactions. This power-law inflationary solution is a stable attractor in a certain range of coupling parameters. Unlike the case with multiple Abelian gauge fields, the power-law inflationary solution with the dominant electric component is unstable because of the existence of non-linear coupling of the Yang-Mills field. We also analyze the dynamics for the non-inflationary regime, and find several attractor solutions.

Primordial Fluctuations from Inflation with a Triad of Background Gauge Fields

We study the linear perturbation of the recently proposed model of inflation where a uniform gauge-kinetic coupling of the inflaton to multiple vector fields breaks the cosmic no-hair conjecture while maintaining the isotropy. We derive the general quadratic action for the perturbation and calculate the power spectra of scalar and tensor modes at the end of inflation by in-in formalism. It is shown that the model predicts slightly red spectra and the tensor-to-scalar ratio tends to be suppressed. The comparison with the data from WMAP 7-year does not impose strong constraints on the parameters and both weak- and strong- gauge-field regimes are consistent with the current observations.

Squark flavor mixing and CP asymmetry of neutral $B$ mesons at LHCb

The CP violation of the neutral $B$ meson is the important phenomenon to search for the new physics. The like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry observed by the D$Ø$ Collaboration indicates the CP-violating new physics in the $B_s-\bar B_s$ mixing. On the other hand, LHCb observed the CP-violating asymmetry in $B_s^0\to J/ψϕ$ and $B_s^0\to J/ψf_0(980)$, which is consistent with the SM prediction. However, there is still room for new physics of the CP violation. The CKMfitter has presented the allowed region of the new physics parameters taking account of the LHCb data. Based on these results, we discuss the effect of the squark flavor mixing on the CP violation in the $B_d$ and $B_s$ mesons. We predict asymmetries in the non-leptonic decays $B_d^0\to ϕK_S$, $B_d^0\to η'K^0$, $B_s^0\to ϕϕ$ and $B_s^0\to ϕη'$.

Anisotropic Pressures at Ultra-stiff Singularities and the Stability of Cyclic Universes

We show that the inclusion of simple anisotropic pressures stops the isotropic Friedmann universe being a stable attractor as an initial or final singularity is approached when pressures can exceed the energy density. This shows that the situation with isotropic pressures, studied earlier in the context of cyclic and ekpyrotic cosmologies, is not generic, and Kasner-like behaviour occurs when simple pressure anisotropies are present. We find all the asymptotic behaviours and determine the dynamics when the anisotropic principal pressures are proportional to the density. We expect distortions and anisotropies to be significantly amplified through a simple cosmological bounce in cyclic or ekpyrotic cosmologies when ultra-stiff pressures are present.
