Linearized Calderón problem and exponentially accurate quasimodes for analytic manifolds

In this article we study the linearized anisotropic Calderón problem on a compact Riemannian manifold with boundary. This problem amounts to showing that products of pairs of harmonic functions of the manifold form a complete set. We assume that the manifold is transversally anisotropic and that the transversal manifold is real analytic and satisfies a geometric condition related to the geometry of pairs of intersecting geodesics. In this case, we solve the linearized anisotropic Calderón problem. The geometric condition does not involve the injectivity of the geodesic X-ray transform. Crucial ingredients in the proof of our result are the construction of Gaussian beam quasimodes on the transversal manifold, with exponentially small errors, as well as the FBI transform characterization of the analytic wave front set.

Eigenvalue bounds for non-self-adjoint Schrödinger operators with non-trapping metrics

We study eigenvalues of non-self-adjoint Schrödinger operators on non-trapping asymptotically conic manifolds of dimension $n\ge 3$. Specifically, we are concerned with the following two types of estimates. The first one deals with Keller type bounds on individual eigenvalues of the Schrödinger operator with a complex potential in terms of the $L^p$-norm of the potential, while the second one is a Lieb-Thirring type bound controlling sums of powers of eigenvalues in terms of the $L^p$-norm of the potential. We extend the results of Frank (2011), Frank-Sabin (2017), and Frank-Simon (2017) on the Keller and Lieb-Thirring type bounds from the case of Euclidean spaces to that of non-trapping asymptotically conic manifolds. In particular, our results are valid for the operator $Δ_g+V$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$ with $g$ being a non-trapping compactly supported (or suitably short range) perturbation of the Euclidean metric and $V\in L^p$ complex valued.

$L^p$ concentration estimates for the Laplacian eigenfunctions near submanifolds

We study $L^p$ bounds on spectral projections for the Laplace operator on compact Riemannian manifolds, restricted to small frequency dependent neighborhoods of submanifolds. In particular, if $λ$ is a frequency and the size of the neigborhood is $\mathcal{O}(λ^{-δ})$, then new sharp estimates are established when $δ\ge 1$, while for $0\le δ\le 1/2$, Sogge's estimates turn out to be optimal. In the intermediate region $1/2<δ<1$, we sometimes get sharp estimates as well. Our arguments follow closely a recent work by Burq and Zuily.

The Calderón problem with partial data for conductivities with $3/2$ derivatives

We extend a global uniqueness result for the Calderón problem with partial data, due to Kenig-Sjöstrand-Uhlmann, to the case of less regular conductivities. Specifically, we show that in dimensions $n\ge 3$, the knowledge of the Diricihlet-to-Neumann map, measured on possibly very small subsets of the boundary, determines uniquely a conductivity having essentially $3/2$ derivatives in an $L^2$ sense.
