Semi-relativistic wave-phase approximation for two-body spinless bound states in 1+1 dimensions

An approximate quantum-mechanical two-body equation for spinless particles incorporating relativistic kinematics is derived. The derivation is based on the relativistic energy-momentum relation mc2+ε=m2c4+p2c2+Vmc^{2}+ε= \sqrt{m^{2}c^{4}+p^{2}c^{2}}+V for each single particle, where mc2mc^2 is the particle rest mass energy, pp its linear momentum, εε its dynamical energy, and VV being the time-like vector interaction potential. The resulting two-body equation assumes rapid wave oscillations in a single, slowly varying potential well. A Bohr-Sommerfeld-type quantization condition is obtained. The approximation is compared to exact results for the harmonic potential.

Approximate analytical solution of the Yukawa potential with arbitrary angular momenta

The Yukawa potential is often used to compute bound-state normalizations and energy levels of neutral atoms. By using the generalized parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method, we have obtained the approximate analytical solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation (SE) for the Yukawa potential. The energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions are calculated in closed forms. Some numerical results are presented and showed that these results are in good agreement with those are obtained previously by other methods. Also, we found the energy levels of the familiar pure Coulomb potential energy levels when the screening parameter of the Yukawa potential goes to zero.

The Rotation-Vibration Spectrum of Diatomic Molecules with the Tietz-Hua Rotating oscillator

The Tietz-Hua (TH) potential is one of the very best analytical model potentials for the vibrational energy of diatomic molecules. By using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method, we have obtained the exact analytical s-wave solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation (SE) for the TH potential. The energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions are calculated in closed forms. Some numerical results for diatomic molecules are also presented.
