Field Theory on Nonanticommutative Superspace

We discuss a deformation of the Hopf algebra of supersymmetry (SUSY) transformations based on a special choice of twist. As usual, algebra itself remains unchanged, but the comultiplication changes. This leads to the deformed Leibniz rule for SUSY transformations. Superfields are elements of the algebra of functions of the usual supercoordinates. Elements of this algebra are multiplied by using a $\star$-product which is noncommutative, hermitian and finite when expanded in power series of the deformation parameter. Chiral fields are no longer a subalgebra of the algebra of superfields. One possible deformation of the Wess-Zumino action is proposed and analysed in detail. Differently from most of the literature concerning this subject, we work in Minkowski space-time.

The photon-neutrino interaction in non-commutative gauge field theory and astrophysical bounds

In this letter we propose a possible mechanism of left- and right-handed neutrino couplings to photons, which arises quite naturally in non-commutative gauge field theory. We estimate the predicted additional energy-loss in stars induced by space-time non-commutativity. The usual requirement that any new energy-loss mechanism in globular stellar clusters should not excessively exceed the standard neutrino losses implies a scale of non-commutative gauge theory above the scale of weak interactions.

Non-Commutative GUTs, Standard Model and C,P,T

Noncommutative Yang-Mills theories are sensitive to the choice of the representation that enters in the gauge kinetic term. We constrain this ambiguity by considering grand unified theories. We find that at first order in the noncommutativity parameter θ, SU(5) is not truly a unified theory, while SO(10) has a unique noncommutative generalization. In view of these results we discuss the noncommutative SM theory that is compatible with SO(10) GUT and find that there are no modifications to the SM gauge kinetic term at lowest order in θ. We study in detail the reality, hermiticity and C,P,T properties of the Seiberg-Witten map and of the resulting effective actions expanded in ordinary fields. We find that in models of GUTs (or compatible with GUTs) right-handed fermions and left-handed ones appear with opposite Seiberg-Witten map.

Construction of non-Abelian gauge theories on noncommutative spaces

We present a formalism to explicitly construct non-Abelian gauge theories on noncommutative spaces (induced via a star product with aconstant Poisson tensor) from a consistency relation. This results in an expansion of the gauge parameter, the noncommutative gauge potential and fields in the fundamental representation, in powers of a parameter of the noncommutativity. This allows the explicit construction of actions for these gauge theories.
