A vector-valued almost sure invariance principle for random expanding on average cocycles

We obtain a quenched vector-valued almost sure invariance principle (ASIP) for random expanding on average cocycles. This is achieved by combining the adapted version of Gouëzel's approach for establishing ASIP and the recent construction of the so-called adapted norms, which in some sense eliminate the non-uniformity of the decay of correlations. For real-valued observables, we also show that the martingale approximation technique is applicable in our setup, and that it yields the ASIP with better error rates. Finally, we present an example showing the necessity of a scaling condition, answering a question of the first and third authors.

Pre-threshold fractional susceptibility function: holomorphy and response formula

For certain smooth unimodal families with negative Schwarzian derivative, we construct a set of Collet-Eckmann and subexponentially recurrent parameters $Ω$, whose complement set has sufficiently fast decaying density, on which exponential mixing with uniform rates occurs. We use this construction to establish holomorphy of the true fractional susceptibility function of the logistic family, in a disk of radius larger than one, for differentiation index $0\leη<1/2$, as recently conjectured by Baladi and Smania. We also obtain a fractional response formula.

Quadratic response of random and deterministic dynamical systems

We consider the linear and quadratic higher order terms associated to the response of the statistical properties of a dynamical system to suitable small perturbations. These terms are related to the first and second derivative of the stationary measure with respect to the change of some parameters, expressing how the statistical properties of the system varies under the perturbation. We show a general framework in which one can obtain rigorous convergence and formulas for these two terms. The framework is flexible enough to be applied both to deterministic and random systems. We give examples of such an application computing linear and quadratic response for Arnold maps with additive noise and deterministic expanding maps.
