Asymptotic behaviour of singular solution of the fast diffusion equation in the punctured Euclidean space

For n≥3n\ge 3, 0<m<n−2n0<m<\frac{n-2}{n}, β<0β<0 and α=2β1−mα=\frac{2β}{1-m}, we prove the existence, uniqueness and asymptotics near the origin of the singular eternal self-similar solutions of the fast diffusion equation in (Rn∖{0})×R(\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\})\times \mathbb{R} of the form Uλ(x,t)=e−αtfλ(e−βtx),x∈Rn∖{0},t∈R,U_λ(x,t)=e^{-αt}f_λ(e^{-βt}x), x\in \mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\}, t\in\mathbb{R}, where fλf_λ is a radially symmetric function satisfying n−1mΔfm+αf+βx⋅∇f=0 in Rn∖{0},\frac{n-1}{m}Δf^m+αf+βx\cdot\nabla f=0 \text{ in }\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\}, with lim⁡r→0r2f(r)1−mlog⁡r−1=2(n−1)(n−2−nm)∣β∣(1−m)\underset{\substack{r\to 0}}{\lim}\frac{r^2f(r)^{1-m}}{\log r^{-1}}=\frac{2(n-1)(n-2-nm)}{|β|(1-m)} and lim⁡r→∞rn−2mf(r)=λ21−m−n−2m\underset{\substack{r\to\infty}}{\lim}r^{\frac{n-2}{m}}f(r)=λ^{\frac{2}{1-m}-\frac{n-2}{m}}, for some constant λ>0λ>0. As a consequence we prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions of Cauchy problem for the fast diffusion equation ut=n−1mΔumu_t=\frac{n-1}{m}Δu^m in (Rn∖{0})×(0,∞)(\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\})\times (0,\infty) with initial value u0u_0 satisfying fλ1(x)≤u0(x)≤fλ2(x)f_{λ_1}(x)\le u_0(x)\le f_{λ_2}(x), ∀x∈Rn∖{0}\forall x\in\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\}, which satisfies Uλ1(x,t)≤u(x,t)≤Uλ2(x,t)U_{λ_1}(x,t)\le u(x,t)\le U_{λ_2}(x,t), ∀x∈Rn∖{0},t≥0\forall x\in \mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\}, t\ge 0, for some constants λ1>λ2>0λ_1>λ_2>0. We also prove the asymptotic behaviour of such singular solution uu of the fast diffusion equation as t→∞t\to\infty when n=3,4n=3,4 and n−2n+2≤m<n−2n\frac{n-2}{n+2}\le m<\frac{n-2}{n} holds. Asymptotic behaviour of such singular solution uu of the fast diffusion equation as t→∞t\to\infty is also obtained when 3≤n<83\le n<8, 1−2/n≤m<min⁡(2(n−2)3n,n−2n+2)1-\sqrt{2/n}\le m<\min\left(\frac{2(n-2)}{3n},\frac{n-2}{n+2}\right), and u(x,t)u(x,t) is radially symmetric in x∈Rn∖{0}x\in\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\} for any t>0t>0 under appropriate conditions on the initial value u0u_0.
