Weak coupling limits for directed polymers in tube environments

In this paper, we study a model of directed polymers in random environment, where the environment is restricted to a time-space tube whose spatial width grows polynomially with time. It can be viewed as an interpolation between the disordered pinning model and the classic directed polymer model. We prove weak coupling limits for the directed polymer partition functions in such tube environments in all dimensions, as the inverse temperature vanishes at a suitable rate. As the tube width varies, transitions between regimes of disorder irrelevance, marginal relevance and disorder relevance are observed.

An invariance principle for biased voter model interfaces

We consider one-dimensional biased voter models, where 1's replace 0's at a faster rate than the other way round, started in a Heaviside initial state describing the interface between two infinite populations of 0's and 1's. In the limit of weak bias, for a diffusively rescaled process, we consider a measure-valued process describing the local fraction of type 1 sites as a function of time. Under a finite second moment condition on the rates, we show that in the diffusive scaling limit there is a drifted Brownian path with the property that all but a vanishingly small fraction of the sites on the left (resp. right) of this path are of type 0 (resp. 1). This extends known results for unbiased voter models. Our proofs depend crucially on recent results about interface tightness for biased voter models.

Edwards-Wilkinson fluctuations in the Howitt-Warren flows

We study current fluctuations in a one-dimensional interacting particle system known as the dual smoothing process that is dual to random motions in a Howitt-Warren flow. The Howitt-Warren flow can be regarded as the transition kernels of a random motion in a continuous space-time random environment. It turns out that the current fluctuations of the dual smoothing process fall in the Edwards-Wilkinson universality class, where the fluctuations occur on the scale $t^{1/4}$ and the limit is a universal Gaussian process. Along the way, we prove a quenched invariance principle for a random motion in the Howitt-Warren flow. Meanwhile, the centered quenched mean process of the random motion also converges on the scale $t^{1/4}$, where the limit is another universal Gaussian process.
