The value of power-related options under spectrally negative Lévy processes

We provide analytical tools for pricing power options with exotic features (capped or log payoffs, gap options ...) in the framework of exponential Lévy models driven by one-sided stable or tempered stable processes. Pricing formulas take the form of fast converging series of powers of the log-forward moneyness and of the time-to-maturity; these series are obtained via a factorized integral representation in the Mellin space evaluated by means of residues in $\mathbb{C}$ or $\mathbb{C}^2$. Comparisons with numerical methods and efficiency tests are also discussed.

Some pricing tools for the Variance Gamma model

We establish several closed pricing formula for various path-independent payoffs, under an exponential Lévy model driven by the Variance Gamma process. These formulas take the form of quickly convergent series and are obtained via tools from Mellin transform theory as well as from multidimensional complex analysis. Particular focus is made on the symmetric process, but extension to the asymmetric process is also provided. Speed of convergence and comparison with numerical methods (Fourier transform, quadrature approximations, Monte Carlo simulations) are also discussed; notable feature is the accelerated convergence of the series for short term options, which constitutes an interesting improvement of numerical Fourier inversion techniques.

Distributional Mellin calculus in $\mathbb{C}^n$, with applications to option pricing

We discuss several aspects of Mellin transform, including distributional Mellin transform and inversion of multiple Mellin-Barnes integrals in $\mathbb{C}^n$ and its connection to residue expansion or evaluation of Laplace integrals. These mathematical concepts are demonstrated on several option-pricing models. This includes European option models such as Black-Scholes or fractional-diffusion models, as well as evaluation of quantities related to the optimal exercise price of American options.

Regularization and analytic option pricing under $α$-stable distribution of arbitrary asymmetry

We consider a non-Gaussian option pricing model, into which the underlying log-price is assumed to be driven by an $α$-stable distribution. We remove the a priori divergence of the model by introducing a Mellin regularization for the Lévy propagator. Using distributional and $\mathbb{C}^n$ tools, we derive an analytic closed formula for the option price, valid for any stability $α\in]1,2]$ and any asymmetry. This formula is very efficient and recovers previous cases (Black-Scholes, Carr-Wu); we calibrate the formula on market datas, make numerical tests, and discuss its many interesting properties.
