Topological moduli space for germs of holomorphic foliations II: Universal deformations

This work deals with the topological classification of singular foliation germs on $(\mathbb C^{2},0)$. Working in a suitable class of foliations we fix the topological invariants given by the separatrix set, the Camacho-Sad indices and the projective holonomy representations and we prove the existence of a topological universal deformation through which every equisingular deformation uniquely factorizes up to topological conjugacy. This is done by representing the functor of topological classes of equisingular deformations of a fixed foliation. We also describe the functorial dependence of this representation with respect to the foliation.

Generic Pseudogroups on (C,0) and the Topology of Leaves

We show that generically a pseudogroup generated by holomorphic diffeomorphisms defined about $0 \in \mathbb{C}$ is free in the sense of pseudogroups even if the class of conjugacy of the generators is fixed. This result has a number of consequences on the topology of leaves for a (singular) holomorphic foliation defined on a neighborhood of an invariant curve. In particular in the classical and simplest case arising from local foliations possessing a unique separatrix that is given by a cusp of the form $\{y^2-x^{2k+1}=0\}$, our results allow us to settle the problem of showing that a generic foliation possesses only countably many non-simply connected leaves and that this countable set is, indeed, infinite.

Mapping Class Group d'un germe de courbe plane singulière

We prove that every topological conjugation between two germs of singular holomorphic curves in the complex plane is homotopic to another conjugation which extends homeomorphically to the exceptional divisors of their minimal desingularizations. As an application we give an explicit presentation of a finite index subgroup of the mapping class group of the germ of such a singularity.
