Manifolds of quasiconformal mappings and the nonlinear Beltrami equation

In this paper we show that the homeomorphic solutions to each nonlinear Beltrami equation $\partial_{\bar{z}} f = \mathcal{H}(z, \partial_{z} f)$ generate a two-dimensional manifold of quasiconformal mappings $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{H}} \subset W^{1,2}_{\mathrm{loc}}(\mathbb{C})$ . Moreover, we show that under regularity assumptions on $\mathcal{H}$ , the manifold $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{H}}$ defines the structure function $\mathcal{H}$ uniquely.

On reduced Beltrami equations and linear families of quasiregular mappings

This paper studies linear classes of planar quasiregular mappings. We give a positive answer to a conjecture of K. Astala, T. Iwaniec, and G. Martin (2009) on reduced Beltrami equations. Moreover, we use it to prove a Wronsky-type theorem for general linear Beltrami systems. This is a key to show that the associated Beltrami equation of a linear quasiregular family is unique.

Uniqueness of normalized homeomorphic solutions to nonlinear Beltrami equations

We settle the problem of the uniqueness of normalized homeomorphic solutions to nonlinear Beltrami equations $\bar\partial f(z)=H(z, \partial f(z))$ . It turns out that the uniqueness holds under definite and explicit bounds on the ellipticity at infinity, but not in general.
