Complete characterization of nontrivial local conservation laws and nonexistence of local Hamiltonian structures for generalized Infeld--Rowlands equation

We characterize all cases when a certain natural generalization of the Infeld--Rowlands equation admits nontrivial local conservation laws of any order, and give explicit form of these conservation laws modulo trivial ones. Furthermore, we prove that the equation under study admits no nontrivial local Hamiltonian and symplectic structures and no nontrivial local Noether and inverse Noether operators; the method of establishing the said nonexistence results can be readily applied to many other PDEs.

WDVV equations: Hamiltonian operators and symbolic computations

We describe software for symbolic computations that we developed in order to find Hamiltonian operators for Witten--Dijkgraaf--Verlinde--Verlinde (WDVV) equations, and verify their compatibility. The computation involves nonlocal (integro-differential) operators, for which specific canonical forms and algorithms have been used.

Symmetry nonintegrability for extended $K(m,n,p)$ equation

In the present paper we study symmetries of extended $K(m,n,p)$ equation $$ u_t=a(u^p)_{xxxxx}+b(u^n)_{xxx} + c(u^m)_{x} + f(u), $$ where $a,b,c$ are arbitrary real constants and $m,n,p$ are arbitrary integers, and prove that for $a\neq 0$ and $p\neq 1,-4$ this equation has no generalized symmetries of order greater than five and hence is not symmetry integrable.
