Lieb-Robinson bounds and strongly continuous dynamics for a class of many-body fermion systems in $\mathbb{R}^d$

We introduce a class of UV-regularized two-body interactions for fermions in $\mathbb{R}^d$ and prove a Lieb-Robinson estimate for the dynamics of this class of many-body systems. As a step toward this result, we also prove a propagation bound of Lieb-Robinson type for Schrödinger operators. We apply the propagation bound to prove the existence of infinite-volume dynamics as a strongly continuous group of automorphisms on the CAR algebra.

Slow propagation in some disordered quantum spin chains

We introduce the notion of transmission time to study the dynamics of disordered quantum spin chains and prove results relating its behavior to many-body localization properties. We also study two versions of the so-called Local Integrals of Motion (LIOM) representation of spin chain Hamiltonians and their relation to dynamical many-body localization. We prove that uniform-in-time dynamical localization expressed by a zero-velocity Lieb-Robinson bound implies the existence of a LIOM representation of the dynamics as well as a weak converse of this statement. We also prove that for a class of spin chains satisfying a form of exponential dynamical localization, sparse perturbations result in a dynamics in which transmission times diverge at least as a power law of distance, with a power for which we provide lower bound that diverges with increasing sparseness of the perturbation.

Velocity addition formulas in Robertson-Walker spacetimes

Universal velocity addition formulas analogous to the well-known formula in special relativity are found for four geometrically defined relative velocities in a large class of Robertson-Walker spacetimes. Explicit examples are given. The special relativity result is recovered as a special case, and it is shown that the spectroscopic relative velocity, in contrast to three other geometric relative velocities, follows the same addition law as in special relativity for comoving observers in Robertson-Walker cosmologies.
