Geometric phase of neutrino propagating through dissipative matter

We study the geometric phase (GP) in neutrino oscillation for both Dirac and Majorana neutrinos. We apply the kinematic generalization of the GP to quantum open systems that take into account the coupling to a dissipative environment. In the dissipationless case, the GP does not depend on the Majorana angle. It is not the case in the presence of dissipation and hence the GP can serve as a tool determining the type of the Dirac vs the Majorana neutrino.

Interference phenomenon and geometric phase for Dirac neutrino in pion+ decay

We analyze the geometric phase in the neutrino oscillation phenomenon, which follows the pion decay π+ --> μ+ + ν_μ. Its value πis consistent with the present-day global analysis of the Standard Model neutrino oscillation parameters, accounting for the nonzero value of θ_13. The impact of the charge-parity (CP) violating phase δ, the neutrino's nature, and the new physics is discussed.

Neutrino oscillations in the presence of the crust magnetization

It is noted that the crustal magnetic spectrum exhibits the signal from the partly correlated domain dipoles on the space-scale up to approximately 500 km. This suggests the nonzero correlation among the dynamical variables of the ferromagnetic magnetization phenomenon on the small domain scale inside the earth's crust also. Therefore the influence of the mean of the zero component of the polarization on the CP matter-induced violation indexes is discussed.

Likelihood method and Fisher information in construction of physical models

The subjects of the paper are the likelihood method (LM) and the expected Fisher information (FI) considered from the point od view of the construction of the physical models which originate in the statistical description of phenomena. The master equation case and structural information principle are derived. Then, the phenomenological description of the information transfer is presented. The extreme physical information (EPI) method is reviewed. As if marginal, the statistical interpretation of the amplitude of the system is given. The formalism developed in this paper would be also applied in quantum information processing and quantum game theory.

Neutrino oscillations beyond the Standard Model

We address the possible impact of New Physics on neutrino oscillation experiments. This can modify the neutrino production, propagation and/or detection, making the full cross section non-factorizable in general. Thus, for example, the neutrino flux may not be properly described assuming an unitary MNS matrix and/or neutrinos may propagate differently depending of their Dirac or Majorana character. Interestingly enough, present limits on New Physics still allow for observable effects at future neutrino experiments.

Motion of test particles in six-dimensional dilatonic Kaluza-Klein theory

Multidimensional theories still remain attractive from the point of view of better understanding of fundamental interactions. In this paper we consider a six - dimensional Kaluza -- Klein type model at the classical level. We derive static spherically symmetric solutions to the multidimensional Einstein equations. They are fundamentally different from four - dimensional Schwarzschild solutions: they are horizon free and the presence of massless dilaton field has the same dynamical effect as the existence of additional massive matter in the system. Then we analyse the motion of test particles in such spherically symmetric configurations. The emphasis is put on some observable quantities like redshifts. It is suggested that strange features of emission lines from active galactic nuclei as well as quasar - galaxy associations may in fact be manifestations of multidimensionality of our world.
