A general formulation based on algebraic spinors for the quantum computation

In this work we explore the structure of Clifford algebras and the representations of the algebraic spinors in quantum information theory. Initially we present an general formulation through elements of left minimal ideals in tensor products of the Clifford algebra $Cl^{+}_{1,3}$. Posteriorly we perform some applications in quantum computation: qubits, entangled states, quantum gates, representations of the braid group, quantum teleportation, Majorana operators and supersymmetry. Finally, we discuss advantages related to standard Hilbert space formulation.

An Approach by Representation of Algebras for Decoherence-Free Subspaces

The aim of this paper is to present a general algebraic formulation for the Decoherence-Free Subspaces (DFSs). For this purpose, we initially generalize some results of Pauli and Artin about semisimple algebras. Then we derive orthogonality theorems for algebras analogous to finite groups. In order to build the DFSs we consider the tensor product of Clifford algebras and left minimal ideals. Furthermore, we show that standard applications of group theory in quantum chemistry can be obtained in our formalism. Advantages and some perspectives are also discussed.

Quasitriangular Hopf algebras, braid groups and quantum entanglement

The aim of the paper is to provide an method to obtain representations of the braid group through a set of quasitriangular Hopf algebras. In particular, these algebras may be derived from group algebras of cyclic groups with additional algebraic structures. In this context, by using the flip operator, it is possible to construct R-matrices that can be regarded as quantum logic gates capable of preserving quantum entanglement.

Non-linear Liouville and Shrödinger equations in phase space

Unitary representations of the Galilei group are studied in phase space, in order to describe classical and quantum systems. Conditions to write in general form the generator of time translation and Lagrangians in phase space are then established. In the classical case, Galilean invariance provides conditions for writing the Liouville operator and Lagrangian for non-linear systems. We analyze, as an example, a generalized kinetic equation where the collision term is local and non-linear. The quantum counter-part of such unitary representations are developed by using the Moyal (or star) product. Then a non-linear Schrödinger equation in phase space is derived and analyzed. In this case, an association with the Wigner formalism is established, which provides a physical interpretation for the formalism.
