Spherical Ricci tori with rotational symmetry

In this article, we study $c$-spherical Ricci metrics, that is, Riemannian metrics whose Gaussian curvature $K$ satisfies \begin{equation*} (K - c)ΔK - |\nabla K|^2 - 4K(K - c)^2 = 0, \end{equation*} for some $c>0$. We explicitly construct a two-parameter family of such metrics with rotational symmetry and show that infinitely many non-isometric examples can be realized on the same torus. Moreover, we investigate their realization as induced metrics on compact rotational surfaces in $\mathbb{S}^3$, establishing the existence of embedded compact spherical Ricci surfaces by controlling a period function associated with the isometric immersion.

A Liouville-Weierstrass correspondence for Spacelike and Timelike Minimal Surfaces in $\mathbb{L}^3$

We investigate a correspondence between solutions $λ(x,y)$ of the Liouville equation \[ Δλ= -\varepsilon e^{-4λ}, \] and the Weierstrass representations of spacelike ($\varepsilon = 1$) and timelike ($\varepsilon = -1$) minimal surfaces with diagonalizable Weingarten map in the three-dimensional Lorentz--Minkowski space $\mathbb{L}^3$. Using complex and paracomplex analysis, we provide a unified treatment of both causal types. We study the action of pseudo-isometries of $\mathbb{L}^3$ on minimal surfaces via Möbius-type transformations, establishing a correspondence between these transformations and rotations in the special orthochronous Lorentz group. Furthermore, we show how local solutions of the Liouville equation determine the Gauss map and the associated Weierstrass data. Finally, we present explicit examples of spacelike and timelike minimal surfaces in $\mathbb{L}^3$ arising from solutions of the Liouville equation.

A Note on Free Boundary Hypersurfaces in Space Forms Balls

In this article, we establish a relationship between geometric quantities of a hypersurface restricted to its boundary, and the geometric quantities of its boundary as a hypersurface of the boundary of the ball. As a first application, we prove that the quantity of umbilical points of a free boundary surface in the unit ball counted with multiplicities depend only on its topology; moreover, we obtain as consequences that free boundary surfaces are annuli if, and only if, they have no umbilical points, and a new proof of the Nitsche Theorem. Secondly, we prove two geometric integral inequalities for free boundary hypersurfaces, and use them to relate some geometric aspects of the hypersurface with topological aspects of its boundary in the three-dimensional case, and to give a new point of view to the Catenoid Conjecture.

The Gauss map of minimal surfaces in $\mathbb{S}^2\times\mathbb{R}$

In this work, we consider the model of $\mathbb{S}^2\times\mathbb{R}$ isometric to $\mathbb{R}^3\setminus \{0\}$, endowed with a metric conformally equivalent to the Euclidean metric of $\mathbb{R}^3$, and we define a Gauss map for surfaces in this model likewise in the $3-$Euclidean space. We show as a main result that any two minimal conformal immersions in $\mathbb{S}^2\times\mathbb{R}$ with the same non-constant Gauss map differ by only two types of ambient isometries: either $f=(\mathrm{id},T)$, where $T$ is a translation on $\mathbb{R}$, or $f=(\mathcal{A},T)$, where $\mathcal{A}$ denotes the antipodal map on $\mathbb{S}^2$. Moreover, if the Gauss map is singular, we show that it is necessarily constant, and then only vertical cylinders over geodesics of $\mathbb{S}^2$ in $\mathbb{S}^2\times\mathbb{R}$ appear with this assumption. We also study some particular cases, among them we prove that there is no minimal conformal immersion in $\mathbb{S}^2\times\mathbb{R}$ which the Gauss map is a non-constant anti-holomorphic map.
