Coupled-channel Omnès matrix for the DD-wave isoscalar ππ/KKˉππ/K\bar K system and its application to J/ψ→π0π0γ, KSKSγJ/ψ\toπ^{0}π^{0}γ,\,K_{S}K_{S}γ

In this work, we construct the DD-wave isoscalar ππ/KKˉππ/K\bar K coupled-channel Omnès matrix, formulated to satisfy unitarity, analyticity, and the appropriate asymptotic behavior. We employ a two-channel KK-matrix model containing poles associated with the f2(1270)f_{2}(1270) and f2′(1525)f_{2}'(1525) resonances. The resulting unitary scattering matrix, which reproduces the experimental ππ→ππππ\toππ and ππ→KKˉππ\to K\bar K data and PDG information, serves as input to the homogeneous two-channel Muskhelishvili-Omnès equation. We compare our Omnès matrix with previous constructions based on ππ→KKˉππ\to K\bar K phases extracted from sums of Breit-Wigner amplitudes. The Omnès matrix developed here provides a reliable dispersive input for form-factor calculations and resonance studies in the tensor-meson sector. As an application, we show that it enables a simultaneous and accurate description of the BESIII J/ψ→π0π0γJ/ψ\toπ^{0}π^{0}γ and J/ψ→KSKSγJ/ψ\to K_{S}K_{S}γ spectra in the J=2J=2 electric-dipole (E1) partial wave.

Dispersive analysis of the ππππ and πKπK scattering data

We present a data-driven analysis of the S-wave ππ→ππ (I=0,2)ππ\to ππ\,(I=0,2) and πK→πK (I=1/2,3/2)πK \to πK\,(I=1/2, 3/2) reactions using the partial-wave dispersion relation. The contributions from the left-hand cuts are parametrized using the expansion in a suitably constructed conformal variable, which accounts for its analytical structure. The partial-wave dispersion relation is solved numerically using the N/DN/D method. The fits to the experimental data supplemented with the constraints from chiral perturbation theory at threshold and Adler zero give the results consistent with Roy-like (Roy-Steiner) analyses. For the ππππ scattering we present the coupled-channel analysis by including additionally the KKˉK\bar{K} channel. By the analytic continuation to the complex plane, we found poles associated with the lightest scalar resonances σ/f0(500)σ/f_0(500), f0(980)f_0(980), and κ/K0∗(700)κ/K_0^*(700). For all the channels we also performed the fits directly to the Roy-like (Roy-Steiner) solutions in the physical region, in order to minimize the N/DN/D uncertainties in the complex plane and to extract the most constrained Omnès functions.

Dispersive analysis of the γγ→DDˉγγ\to D \bar{D} data and the confirmation of the DDˉD \bar{D} bound state

In this paper, we present a data-driven analysis of the γγ→D+D−γγ\to D^+D^- and γγ→D0Dˉ0γγ\to D^0\bar{D}^0 reactions from threshold up to 4.0 GeV in the DDˉD\bar{D} invariant mass. For the SS-wave contribution, we adopt a partial-wave dispersive representation, which is solved using the N/DN/D ansatz. The left-hand cuts are accounted for using the model-independent conformal expansion. The DD-wave χc2(3930)χ_{c2}(3930) state is described as a Breit-Wigner resonance. The resulting fits are consistent with the data on the invariant mass distribution of the e+e−→J/ψDDˉe^+e^- \to J/ψD\bar{D} process. Performing an analytic continuation to the complex ss-plane, we find no evidence of a pole corresponding to the broad resonance X(3860)X(3860) reported by the Belle Collaboration. Instead, we find a clear bound state below the DDˉD\bar{D} threshold at sB=3695(4)\sqrt{s_B} = 3695(4) MeV, confirming the previous phenomenological and lattice predictions.

Dispersive analysis of the γ∗γ∗→ππγ^{*}γ^{*} \to ππ process

In this paper, we present a dispersive analysis of the double-virtual photon-photon scattering to two pions up to 1.5 GeV. Through unitarity, this process is very sensitive to hadronic final state interaction. For the ss-wave, we use a coupled-channel ππ, KKˉππ,\, K\bar{K} analysis which allows a simultaneous description of both f0(500)f_0(500) and f0(980)f_{0}(980) resonances. For higher energies, f2(1270)f_2(1270) shows up as a dominant structure which we approximate by a single channel ππππ rescattering in the dd-wave. In the dispersive approach, the latter requires taking into account tt- and uu-channel vector-meson exchange left-hand cuts which exhibit an anomalous-like behavior for large space-like virtualities. In our paper, we show how to readily incorporate such behavior using a contour deformation. Besides, we devote special attention to kinematic constraints of helicity amplitudes and show their correlations explicitly.

Simultaneous description of the e+e−→J/ψ ππ (KKˉ)e^+e^- \to J/ ψ\, ππ\, (K \bar{K}) processes

In this work, we provide a simultaneous and accurate description of the π+π−π^+π^- and π±J/ψπ^{\pm} J/ψ invariant mass distributions of the recent BESIII data on e+e−→J/ψ  π+π−e^+ e^- \to J/ψ\; π^+ π^- together with the e+e−→J/ψ  K+K−e^+ e^- \to J/ψ\; K^+K^- cross sections at e+e−e^+e^- center-of-mass energies q=4.23q=4.23 GeV and q=4.26q=4.26 GeV. The rescattering effects between pions in the S and D-waves are taken into account through the Muskhelishvili-Omnès formalism. Since the physical region of the ππππ invariant mass extends above 1 GeV, the important KKˉK\bar{K} intermediate state in the S-wave is implemented through coupled-channel unitarity. For the left-hand cuts, we account for the well established charged exotic state Zc(3900)Z_c(3900) in tt- and uu-channels, while the other contributions are absorbed in the subtraction constants. For the e+e−→J/ψ KKˉe^+ e^- \to J/ψ\, K \bar{K} we provide the prediction of the two-kaon invariant mass distribution. The constructed amplitudes serve as an essential framework to interpret the present and forthcoming measurements by the BESIII and Belle II Collaborations.

The role of charged exotic states in e+e−→ψ(2S)  π+π−e^+e^- \to ψ(2S) \; π^+ π^-

In this work, we use the dispersion theory to provide a physical description of recent BESIII data on the reaction e+e−→ψ(2S) π+ π− e^+ e^- \to ψ(2S) \, π^+ \, π^-. Taking into account explicitly the effects of charged exotic intermediate states in the tt- and uu-channels as well as the two-pion final state interaction, we describe the invariant mass distribution for four different e+e−e^+ e^- center-of-mass energies. The effects of the ππππ rescattering are accounted for within a model-independent single channel approach which is found to explain the ππππ-invariant mass distributions at all e+e−e^+ e^- center-of-mass energies. For q=4.226q= 4.226 GeV and q=4.258q= 4.258 GeV the already established charged exotic state Zc(3900)Z_c(3900) is considered as the intermediate state, whereas for q=4.358q= 4.358 GeV the rescattering of pions dominates the fits. For the highest energy, q=4.416q= 4.416 GeV, a heavier charged exotic state with mass mZc=4.016(4)m_{Z_c} = 4.016(4) GeV and width ΓZc=52(10)Γ_{Z_c} = 52(10) MeV is essential to describe the experimental data. Although the mass of this state is consistent with the established Zc(4020)Z_c(4020), its width is significantly larger.
