Yangian Bootstrap for Conformal Feynman Integrals

We explore the idea to bootstrap Feynman integrals using integrability. In particular, we put the recently discovered Yangian symmetry of conformal Feynman integrals to work. As a prototypical example we demonstrate that the D-dimensional box integral with generic propagator powers is completely fixed by its symmetries to be a particular linear combination of Appell hypergeometric functions. In this context the Bloch-Wigner function arises as a special Yangian invariant in 4D. The bootstrap procedure for the box integral is naturally structured in algorithmic form. We then discuss the Yangian constraints for the six-point double box integral as well as for the related hexagon. For the latter we argue that the constraints are solved by a set of generalized Lauricella functions and we comment on complications in identifying the integral as a certain linear combination of these. Finally, we elaborate on the close relation to the Mellin-Barnes technique and argue that it generates Yangian invariants as sums of residues.

The Cross Anomalous Dimension in Maximally Supersymmetric Yang--Mills Theory

The cross or soft anomalous dimension matrix describes the renormalization of Wilson loops with a self-intersection and is an important object in the study of infrared divergences of scattering amplitudes. In this paper it is studied for the Maldacena--Wilson loop in N=4 supersymmetric Yang--Mills theory and Euclidean kinematics. We consider both the strong-coupling description in terms of minimal surfaces in AdS5 as well as the weak-coupling side up to the two-loop level. In either case, the coefficients of the cross anomalous dimension matrix can be expressed in terms of the cusp anomalous dimension. The strong-coupling description displays a Gross--Ooguri phase transition and we argue that the cross anomalous dimension is an interesting object to study in an integrability-based approach.

Wilson Loops and Integrability

These notes provide an introduction toward Wilson loops in N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory with a focus toward their integrability properties. In addition to a brief discussion of exact results for the circular Wilson loop and the cusp anomalous dimension, the notes focus on non-local symmetries, utilizing the integrability of the minimal surface problem that appears at strong coupling. This work is based on lectures given at the Young Researchers Integrability School and Workshop 2018. To appear in a special issue of J. Phys. A.

Conformal geometry of null hexagons for Wilson loops and scattering amplitudes

The cross-ratios do not uniquely fix the class of conformally equivalent configurations of null polygons. In view of applications to Wilson loops and scattering amplitudes we characterise all conformal classes of null hexagon configurations belonging to given points in cross-ratio space. At first this is done for the ordered set of vertices. Including the edges, we then investigate the equivalence classes under conformal transformations for null hexagons. This is done both for the set of null hexagons closed in finite domains of Minkowski space as well as for the set including those closed via infinity.
