Higgs production in e−e+e^{-}e^{+} collisions as a probe of noncommutativity

We examine the sensitivity of the angular distribution of the Higgs boson in the process of e+e−→ZHe^+e^-\to Z H and the total cross section in the minimal noncommutative standard model (mNCSM) framework to set lower limit on the noncommutative charactristic scale (ΛΛ). Contrary to the standard model case, in this process the Higgs boson tends to be emitted anisotropically in the transverse plane. Based on this fact, the profile likelihood ratio is used to set lower limit on ΛΛ. The lower limit is presented as a function of the integrated luminosity. We show that at the center-of-mass energy of 1.5 TeV and with 500 fb−1^{-1} of data, the noncommutative characteristic energy scale ΛΛ can be excluded up to 1.2 TeV.

New parton distributions in fixed flavour factorization scheme from recent deep-inelastic-scattering data

We present our QCD analysis of the proton structure function F2p(x,Q2)F_2^p(x,Q^2) to determine the parton distributions at the next-to-leading order (NLO). The heavy quark contributions to F2i(x,Q2)F_2^i(x,Q^2), with ii = cc, bb have been included in the framework of the `fixed flavour number scheme' (FFNS). The results obtained in the FFNS are compared with available results such as the general-mass variable-flavour-number scheme (GM-VFNS) and other prescriptions used in global fits of PDFs. In the present QCD analysis, we use a wide range of the inclusive neutral-current deep-inelastic-scattering (NC DIS) data, including the most recent data for charm F2cF_2^c, bottom F2bF_2^b, longitudinal FLF_L structure functions and also the reduced DIS cross sections σr,NC±σ_{r,NC}^\pm from HERA experiments. The most recent HERMES data for proton and deuteron structure functions are also added. We take into account ZEUS neutral current e±pe^ \pm p DIS inclusive jet cross section data from HERA together with the recent Tevatron Run-II inclusive jet cross section data from CDF and DØ. The impact of these recent DIS data on the PDFs extracted from the global fits are studied. We present two families of PDFs, {\tt KKT12} and {\tt KKT12C}, without and with HERA `combined' data sets on e±pe^{\pm}p DIS. We find these are in good agreement with the available theoretical models.

Symmetry breaking effect on determination of polarized and unpolarized parton distributions

We perform a new extraction for unpolarized and polarized parton distribution functions considering a flavor decompositions for sea quarks and applying very recent deep inelastic scattering (DIS) and semi inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) data in the fixed flavor number scheme (FFNS) framework. In the new symmetry breaking scenario the light quark and antiquark densities are extracted separately and new parametrization forms are determined for them. The heavy flavors contribution, including charm and bottom quarks, are also taken to be account for unpolarized distributions.

Nonsinglet parton distribution functions from the precise next-to-next-to-next-to leading order QCD fit

We present the results of our QCD analysis for non-singlet unpolarized quark distributions and structure function F2(x,Q2)F_2(x,Q^2) up to N3^3LO. In this regards 4-loop anomalous dimension can be obtain from the Padé approximations. The analysis is based on the Jacobi polynomials expansion of the structure function. New parameterizations are derived for the non-singlet quark distributions for the kinematic wide range of xx and Q2Q^2. Our calculations for non-singlet unpolarized quark distribution functions up to N3^3LO are in good agreement with available theoretical models. The higher twist contributions of F2p,d(x,Q2)F_2^{p,d}(x,Q^2) are extracted in the large xx region in N3^3LO analysis. The values of ΛQCDΛ_{QCD} and αs(Mz2)α_s(M_z^2) are determined.
