Eigenvalue Fluctuations of 1-dimensional random Schrödinger operators

As an extension to the paper by Breuer, Grinshpon, and White \cite{B}, we study the linear statistics for the eigenvalues of the Schrödinger operator with random decaying potential with order ${\cal O}(x^{-α})$ ($α>0$) at infinity. We first prove similar statements as in \cite{B} for the trace of $f(H)$, where $f$ belongs to a class of analytic functions : there exists a critical exponent $α_c$ such that the fluctuation of the trace of $f(H)$ converges in probability for $α> α_c$, and satisfies a CLT statement for $α\le α_c$, where $α_c$ differs depending on $f$. Furthermore we study the asymptotic behavior of its expectation value.

Poisson statistics for beta ensembles on the real line at high temperature

This paper studies beta ensembles on the real line in a high temperature regime, that is, the regime where $βN \to const \in (0, \infty)$, with $N$ the system size and $β$ the inverse temperature. In this regime, the convergence to the equilibrium measure is a consequence of a recent result on large deviation principle by Liu and Wu (Stochastic Processes and their Applications (2019)). This paper focuses on the local behavior and shows that the local statistics around any fixed reference energy converges weakly to a homogeneous Poisson point process.

Level statistics of one-dimensional Schrödinger operators with random decaying potential

We study the level statistics of one-dimensional Schrödinger operator with random potential decaying like $x^{-α}$ at infinity. We consider the point process $ξ_L$ consisting of the rescaled eigenvalues and show that : (i)(ac spectrum case) for $α> \frac 12$, $ξ_L$ converges to a clock process, and the fluctuation of the eigenvalue spacing converges to Gaussian. (ii)(critical case) for $α= \frac 12$, $ξ_L$ converges to the limit of the circular $β$-ensemble.

A generalization of carries process and Eulerian numbers

We study a generalization of Holte's amazing matrix, the transition probability matrix of the Markov chains of the 'carries' in a non-standard numeration system. The stationary distributions are explicitly described by the numbers which can be regarded as a generalization of the Eulerian numbers and the MacMahon numbers. We also show that similar properties hold even for the numeration systems with the negative bases.

Level statistics for one-dimensional Schrödinger operators and Gaussian beta ensemble

We study the level statistics for two classes of 1-dimensional random Schrödinger operators : (1) for operators whose coupling constants decay as the system size becomes large, and (2) for operators with critically decaying random potential. As a byproduct of (2) with our previous result \cite{KN} imply the coincidence of the limits of circular and Gaussian beta ensembles.

Hitting Matrix and Domino Tiling with Diagonal Impurities

As a continuation to our previous work [9, 10], we consider the domino tiling problem with impurities. (1) if we have more than two impurities on the boundary, we can compute the number of corresponding perfect matchings by using the hitting matrix method[4]. (2) we have an alternative proof of the main result in [9] and result in (1) above using the formula by Kenyon-Wilson [6, 7] of counting the number of groves on the circular planar graph. (3) we study the behavior of the probability of finding the impurity at a given site when the size of the graph tends to infinity, as well as the scaling limit of those.

The distribution of localization centers in some discrete random systems

As a supplement of our previous work, we consider the localized region of the random Schroedinger operators on $l^2({\bf Z}^d)$ and study the point process composed of their eigenvalues and corresponding localization centers. For the Anderson model, we show that, this point process in the natural scaling limit converges in distribution to the Poisson process on the product space of energy and space. In other models with suitable Wegner-type bounds, we can at least show that any limiting point processes are infinitely divisible.

A bijection theorem for domino tiling with diagonal impurities

We consider the dimer problem on a non-bipartite graph $G$, where there are two types of dimers one of which we regard impurities. Results of simulations using Markov chain seem to indicate that impurities are tend to distribute on the boundary, which we set as a conjecture. We first show that there is a bijection between the set of dimer coverings on $G$ and the set of spanning forests on two graphs which are made from $G$, with configuration of impurities satisfying a pairing condition. This bijection can be regarded as a extension of the Temperley bijection. We consider local move consisting of two operations, and by using the bijection mentioned above, we prove local move connectedness. We further obtained some bound of the number of dimer coverings and the probability finding an impurity at given edge, by extending the argument in our previous result.
