In this work we consider the initial value problem (IVP) associated to the Ostrovsky equations ut+∂x3u±∂x−1u+u∂xuu(x,0)=0,x∈R,t∈R,=u0(x).} We study the well-posedness of the IVP in the weighted Sobolev spaces Zs,2s:={u∈Hs(R):Dx−su∈L2(R)}∩L2(∣x∣sdx), with 43<s≤1.
In this work we consider the initial value problem (IVP) associated to the two dimensional Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation ut+∂x3u+∂x∂y2u+u∂xuu(x,y,0)=0,(x,y)∈R2,t∈R,=u0(x,y).} We study the well-posedness of the IVP in the weighted Sobolev spaces Hs(R2)∩L2((1+x2+y2)rdxdy), with s,r∈R.
In this work we study the initial value problem (IVP) for the fifth order KdV equations, \begin{align*} \partial_{t}u+\partial_{x}^{5}u+u^k\partial_{x}u=0,\text{} & \quad x,t\in \mathbb R, \quad k=1,2, \end{align*} in weighted Sobolev spaces Hs(R)∩L2(⟨x⟩2rdx). We prove local and global results. In the case k=2 we point out the relation between decay and regularity of the solution of the IVP.
In this article we prove that sufficiently smooth solutions of the Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation that have compact support for two different times are identically zero.
