Complexity growth in Gubser-Rocha models with momentum relaxation

The Einstein-Maxwell-Axion-Dilaton (EMAD) theories, based on the Gubser-Rocha (GR) model, are very interesting in holographic calculations of strongly correlated systems in the condensed matter physics. Due to the presence of spatially dependent massless axionic scalar fields, the momentum is relaxed and we have no translational invariance at finite charge density. It would be of interest to study some aspects of quantum information theory for such systems in the context of $AdS/CFT$ where EMAD theory is a holographic dual theory. For instance, in this paper we investigate the complexity and its time dependence for charged $AdS$ black holes of EMAD theories in diverse dimensions via the complexity equals action (CA) conjecture. We will show that the growth rate of the holographic complexity violates the Lloyd's bound at finite times. However, as shown at late times, it depends on the strength of momentum relaxation and saturates the bound for these black holes.

Emergence of non-linear electrodynamic theories from $T\bar{T}$-like deformations

In this letter, we investigate the deformation of the ModMax theory, as a unique Lagrangian of non-linear electrodynamics preserving both conformal and electromagnetic-duality invariance, under $T\bar{T}$-like flows. We will show that the deformed theory is the generalized non-linear Born-Infeld electrodynamics. Being inspired by the invariance under the flow equation for Born-Infeld theories, we propose another $T\bar{T}$-like operator generating the ModMax and generalized Born-Infeld non-linear electrodynamic theories from the usual Maxwell and Born-Infeld theories, respectively.

Manifestly $SL(2,R)$ Duality-Symmetric Forms in ModMax Theory

In this paper, we will investigate a manifestly $SL(2,R)$-invariant structure for the energy-momentum tensor of ModMax theory as a nonlinear modification of Maxwell electrodynamics which includes conformal invariance as well. In the context of this theory, we show that the energy-momentum tensor of the generalized Born-Infeld theory can also be written in the same invariant form. We will find manifestly self-dual invariant actions corresponding to the invariant couplings $λ$ and $γ$ in these theories. It can be shown that the resultant actions correspond to the irrelevant and marginal $T\bar{T}$-like deformations, respectively.

Thermodynamic geometry and complexity of black holes in theories with broken translational invariance

The relationship between thermodynamics and the Lloyd bound on the holographic complexity for a black hole has been of interest. We consider $D$ dimensional anti-de Sitter black holes with hyperbolic geometry as well as black holes with momentum relaxation that have a minimum for temperature and mass. We show that the singular points of the thermodynamic curvature of the black holes, as thermodynamic systems, correspond to the zero points of the action and volume complexity at the Lloyd bound. For such black holes with a single horizon, the complexity of volume and the complexity of action at minimum mass and minimum temperature are zero, respectively. We show that the thermodynamic curvature diverges at these minimal values. Because of the behaviour of action complexity and thermodynamic curvature at minimum temperature, we propose the action complexity as an order parameter of the black holes as thermodynamic systems. Also, we derive the critical exponent related to the thermodynamic curvature in different dimensions.

Non-commutative effects on gravitational measurements

The general theory of relativity is currently the accepted theory of gravity and as such, a large repository of test results has been obtained since its inception in 1915. However, in this paper we only focus on what are considered as the main tests but in non-commutative (NC) geometries. Using the coordinate coherent state formalism, we calculate the gravitational redshift, deflection, and time delay of light, separately, for NC inspired Schwarzschild and Riessner-Nordstrom black holes. We show the NC predictions have different behavior than the general relativity. We also provide an upper bound on the NC parameter by comparing the NC corrections with the accuracies of gravitational measurements in the case of typical primordial black holes produced in the early universe. In this regard, we use observational data for the scale factor $a$ at the end of inflation to obtain physical satisfactory results.

Canonical structure of BHT massive gravity in warped AdS3 sector

We investigate the asymptotic structure of the three dimensional warped anti de sitter black holes in the Bergshoeff, Hohm and Townsend massive gravity using the canonical Hamiltonian formalism. We define the canonical asymptotic guage generators, which produce the conserved charges and the asymptotic symmetry group for the warped anti de sitter black holes. The attained symmetry group is described by a semi direct sum of a Virasoro and a KacMoody algebra. Using the Sugawara construction, we obtain a direct sum of two Virasoro algebras. We show that not only the asymptotic conserved charges satisfy the first law of black hole thermodynamics, but also they lead to the expected Smarr formula for the warped anti de sitter black holes. We also show that the black hole entropy obeys the Cardy formula of the dual conformal field theory .

Hamiltonian formalism of Minimal Massive Gravity

We study the three-dimensional Minimal Massive Gravity (MMG) in the Hamiltonian formalism. Canonical expressions for the asymptotic conserved charges are derived by defining the canonical gauge generators. Specifically, the construction of asymptotic structure of MMG requires to introduce suitable boundary conditions. For instance, the application of this procedure is done for the BTZ black hole as a solution to the MMG field equations. The related conserved charges give the energy and angular momentum of the BTZ black hole. We also show that the Poisson bracket algebra of the improved canonical gauge generators produces an asymptotic gauge group which includes two separable versions of Virasoro algebras. Finally, we calculate the entropy of black hole from Cardy formula using the parameters of the boundary conformal field theory and show the result is consistent with the value obtained from Smarr one.

Stability of vacua in New Massive Gravity in different gauges

We consider AdS3 and warped AdS3 vacua in new massive gravity and study the highest weight modes and general propagating modes as a set of solutions for the linearized equations of motion. We observed that depending on the choice of gauge there are two types of solutions. We show that for warped AdS3 vacuum, the massless modes which appear only in the harmonic gauge have zero energy density and do not get higher curvature corrections. By computing the energy density it can be shown that all massive modes have negative energy density. Our computations prove that the massive modes in warped AdS3 cannot be excluded by an appropriate boundary condition and this makes the theory unstable.

On asymptotically AdS-like solutions of three dimensional massive gravity

In this paper we have added Maxwell, Maxwell-Chern-Simons and gravitational Chern-Simons terms to Born-Infeld extended new massive gravity and we have found different types of (non)extremal charged black holes. For each black hole we find mass, angular momentum, entropy and temperature. Since our solutions are asymptotically AdS or warped-AdS, we infer central charges of dual CFTs by using Cardy's formula. Computing conserved charges associated to asymptotic symmetry transformations confirms calculation of central charges. For CFTs dual to asymptotically AdS solutions we find left central charges from Cardy's formula, while conserved charge approach gives both left and right central charges. For CFTs dual to asymptotically warped-AdS solutions, left and right central charges are equal when we have Maxwell-Chern-Simons term but they have different values when gravitational Chern-Simons term is included.

Black Holes in Born-Infeld Extended New Massive Gravity

In this paper we find different types of black holes for the Born-Infeld extended new massive gravity. Our solutions include (un)charged warped (A)dS black holes for four and six derivative expanded action. We also look at the black holes in unexpanded BI action. In each case we calculate the entropy, angular momentum and mass of the black holes. We also find the central charges for the CFT duals.
