Classical-quantum correspondence for shape-invariant systems

A quantization procedure, which has recently been introduced for the analysis of Painlevé equations, is applied to a general time-independent potential of a Newton equation. This analysis shows that the quantization procedure preserves the exact solvability property for the class of shape-invariant potentials. When a general potential is considered the quantization procedure involves the solution of a Gambier XXVII transcendental equation. Explicit examples involving classical and exceptional orthogonal Laguerre and Jacobi polynomials are discussed.

Classical and quantum higher order superintegrable systems from coalgebra symmetry

The N-dimensional generalization of Bertrand spaces as families of Maximally superintegrable systems on spaces with nonconstant curvature is analyzed. Considering the classification of two dimensional radial systems admitting 3 constants of the motion at most quadratic in the momenta, we will be able to generate a new class of spherically symmetric M.S. systems by using a technique based on coalgebra. The 3-dimensional realization of these systems provides the entire classification of classical spherically symmetric M.S. systems admitting periodic trajectories. We show that in dimension N > 2 these systems (classical and quantum) admit, in general, higher order constants of motion and turn out to be exactly solvable. Furthermore it is possible to obtain non radial M.S. systems by introducing projection of the original radial system to a suitable lower dimensional space.

Soliton surfaces and generalized symmetries of integrable systems

In this paper, we discuss some specific features of symmetries of integrable systems which can be used to contruct the Fokas-Gel'fand formula for the immersion of 2D-soliton surfaces, associated with such systems, in Lie algebras. We establish the sufficient condition for the applicability of this formula. This condition requires the existence of two vector fields which generate a common symmetry of the initial system and its corresponding linear spectral problem. This means that these two fields have to be group-related and we determine an explicit form of this relation. It provides a criterion for the selection of symmetries suitable for the use of the Fokas-Gel'fand formula. We include some examples illustrating its application.

Superintegrable systems with spin induced by coalgebra symmetry

A method for deriving superintegrable Hamiltonians with a spin orbital interaction is presented. The method is applied to obtain a new superintegrable system in Euclidean space $\mathbb{E}_3$ with the following properties. It describes a rotationally invariant interaction between a particle of spin $\frac{1}{2}$ and one of spin 0. Its Hamiltonian commutes with total angular momentum $\vec{\mathcal{J}}$ and with additional vector integrals of motion $\vec{X}$, $\vec{Y}$ with components that are third order differential operators. The integrals of motion form a polynomial algebra under commutation. The system is exactly solvable (in terms of Laguerre polynomials) and the bound state energy levels are degenerate and described by a Balmer type formula. When the spin orbital potential is switched off the system reduces to a hydrogen atom.
