Hodge theory of Kloosterman connections

We construct motives over the rational numbers associated with symmetric power moments of Kloosterman sums, and prove that their L-functions extend meromorphically to the complex plane and satisfy a functional equation conjectured by Broadhurst and Roberts. Although the motives in question turn out to be "classical", we compute their Hodge numbers by means of the irregular Hodge filtration on their realizations as exponential mixed Hodge structures. We show that all Hodge numbers are either zero or one, which implies potential automorphy thanks to recent results of Patrikis and Taylor.

The relative hermitian duality functor

We extend to the category of relative regular holonomic modules on a manifold $X$, parametrized by a curve $S$, the Hermitian duality functor (or conjugation functor) of Kashiwara. We prove that this functor is an equivalence with the similar category on the conjugate manifold $\overline X$, parametrized by the same curve. As a byproduct we introduce the notion of regular holonomic relative distribution.

On the irregular Hodge filtration of exponentially twisted mixed Hodge modules

Given a mixed Hodge module and a meromorphic function f on a complex manifold, we associate to these data a filtration (the irregular Hodge filtration) on the exponentially twisted holonomic module, which extends the construction of arXiv:1302.4537. We show the strictness of the push-forward filtered D-module through any projective morphism, by using the theory of mixed twistor D-modules of T. Mochizuki. We consider the example of the rescaling of a regular function f, which leads to an expression of the irregular Hodge filtration of the Laplace transform of the Gauss-Manin systems of f in terms of the Harder-Narasimhan filtration of the Kontsevich bundles associated with f.

Topological computation of some Stokes phenomena on the affine line

Let $\mathcal M$ be a holonomic algebraic $\mathcal D$-module on the affine line, regular everywhere including at infinity. Malgrange gave a complete description of the Fourier-Laplace transform $\widehat{\mathcal M}$, including its Stokes multipliers at infinity, in terms of the quiver of $\mathcal M$. Let $F$ be the perverse sheaf of holomorphic solutions to $\mathcal M$. By the irregular Riemann-Hilbert correspondence, $\widehat{\mathcal M}$ is determined by the enhanced Fourier-Sato transform $F^\curlywedge$ of $F$. Our aim here is to recover Malgrange's result in a purely topological way, by computing $F^\curlywedge$ using Borel-Moore cycles. In this paper, we also consider some irregular $\mathcal M$'s, like in the case of the Airy equation, where our cycles are related to steepest descent paths.

Kontsevich's conjecture on an algebraic formula for vanishing cycles of local systems

For a local system and a function on a smooth complex algebraic variety, we give a proof of a conjecture of M. Kontsevich on a formula for the vanishing cycles using the twisted de Rham complex of the formal microlocalization of the corresponding locally free sheaf with integrable connection having regular singularity at infinity. We also prove its local version, which may be viewed as a natural generalization of a result of E. Brieskorn in the isolated singularity case. We then generalize these to the case of the de Rham complexes of regular holonomic D-modules where we have to use the tensor product with a certain sheaf of formal microlocal differential operators instead of the formal completion.

Introduction to Stokes structures

The purpose of these lectures is to introduce the notion of a Stokes-perverse sheaf as a receptacle for the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence for holonomic D-modules. They develop the original idea of P. Deligne in dimension one, and make it enter the frame of perverse sheaves. They also give a first step for a general definition in higher dimension, and make explicit particular cases of the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence, relying on recent results of T. Mochizuki.

Flat meromorphic connections of Frobenius manifolds with tt*-structure

The base space of a semi-universal unfolding of a hypersurface singularity carries a rich geometric structure, which was axiomatized as a CDV-structure by C. Hertling. For any CDV-structure on a Frobenius manifold M, the pull-back of the (1,0)-tangent bundle of M to the product of M by the complex line carries two natural holomorphic structures equipped with flat meromorphic connections. We show that, for any semi-simple CDV-structure, there is a formal isomorphism between these two bundles compatible with connections. Moreover, if we assume that the super-symmetric index Q vanishes, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for such a formal isomorphism to be convergent, and we make it explicit for dim M = 2.

[English: In this article, we give another proof of the result shown by D. Barlet in http://aif.cedram.org/aif-bin/fitem?id=AIF_2010__60_1_319_0 (arXiv:0809.4981), relying on the Mellin transform and on classical properties of Bessel functions (instead of convolution). The main theorem of this note is somewhat more precise than the statement given in loc. cit.]

Fourier-Laplace transform of a variation of polarized complex Hodge structure, II

We show that the limit, by rescaling, of the `new supersymmetric index' attached to the Fourier-Laplace transform of a polarized variation of Hodge structure on a punctured affine line is equal to the spectral polynomial attached to the same object. We also extend the definition by Deligne of a Hodge filtration on the de Rham cohomology of a exponentially twisted polarized variation of complex Hodge structure and prove a E_1 degeneration property for it.

Fourier-Laplace transform of irreducible regular differential systems on the Riemann sphere

We show that the Fourier-Laplace transform of an irreducible regular differential system on the Riemann sphere underlies, when one only considers the part at finite distance, a polarizable regular twistor $\mathcal{D}$-module. The associated holomorphic bundle out of the origin is therefore equipped with a natural harmonic metric with a tame behaviour near the origin.

The Abelian/Nonabelian Correspondence and Frobenius Manifolds

We propose an approach via Frobenius manifolds to the study (began in math.AG/0407254) of the relation between rational Gromov-Witten invariants of nonabelian quotients X//G and those of the corresponding ``abelianized'' quotients X//T, for T a maximal torus in G. The ensuing conjecture expresses the Gromov-Witten potential of X//G in terms of the potential of X//T. We prove this conjecture when the nonabelian quotients are partial flag manifolds.

Gauss-Manin systems, Brieskorn lattices and Frobenius structures (I)

We associate to any convenient nondegenerate Laurent polynomial on the complex torus (C^*)^n a canonical Frobenius-Saito structure on the base space of its universal unfolding. According to the method of K. Saito (primitive forms) and of M. Saito (good basis of the Gauss-Manin system), the main problem, which is solved in this article, is the analysis of the Gauss-Manin system of the Laurent polynomial (or its universal unfolding) and of the corresponding Hodge theory.
