Statefinder diagnostic in a torsion cosmology

We apply the statefinder diagnostic to the torsion cosmology, in which an accounting for the accelerated universe is considered in term of a Riemann-Cartan geometry: dynamic scalar torsion. We find that there are some typical characteristic of the evolution of statefinder parameters for the torsion cosmology that can be distinguished from the other cosmological models. Furthermore, we also show that statefinder diagnostic has a direct bearing on the critical points. The statefinder diagnostic divides the torsion parameter $a_1$ into differential ranges, which is in keeping with the requirement of dynamical analysis. In addition, we fit the scalar torsion model to ESSENCE supernovae data and give the best fit values of the model parameters.

Torsion cosmological dynamics

In this paper, the dynamical attractor and heteroclinic orbit have been employed to make the late-time behaviors of the model insensitive to the initial condition and thus alleviate the fine-tuning problem in the torsion cosmology. The late-time de Sitter attractor indicates that torsion cosmology is an elegant scheme and the scalar torsion mode is an interesting geometric quantity for physics. The numerical solutions obtained by Nester et al. are not periodic solutions, but are quasi-periodic solutions near the focus for the coupled nonlinear equations.

Viscous Cardassian universe

The viscous Cardassian cosmology is discussed, assuming that there is a bulk viscosity in the cosmic fluid. The dynamical analysis indicates that there exists a singular curve in the phase diagram of viscous Cardassian model. In the viscous PL model, the equation-of-state parameter $w_{k}$ is no longer a constant and it can cross the cosmological constant divide $w_Λ=-1$, in contrast with same problem of the ordinary PL model. Other models possess with similar characteristics. For MP and exp models, $w_{k}$ evolves more near -1 than the case without viscosity. The bulk viscosity also effect the virialization process of a collapse system in the universe: $\frac{R_{vir}}{R_{ta}}$ is increasingly large when the bulk viscosity is increasing. In other words, the bulk viscosity retards the progress of collapse system. In addition, we fit the viscous Cardassian models to current type Ia supernovae data and give the best fit value of the model parameters including the bulk viscosity coefficient $τ$.

Heteroclinic orbit and tracking attractor in cosmological model with a double exponential potential

In this paper, the dynamical heteroclinic orbit and attractor have been employed to make the late-time behaviors of the model insensitive to the initial condition and thus alleviates the fine tuning problem in cosmological dynamical system of barotropic fluid and quintessence with a double exponential potential. The late-time asymptotic behavior of the double exponential model does not always correspond to the single case. The heteroclinic orbits are the non-stationary solutions and in general they will interpolate between the critical points. Although they can not be shown analytically, yet a numerical calculation can reveal most of their properties. Varied heteroclinic orbits and attractors including tracking attractor and de Sitter attractor have been found.
