Four New Eclipsing Binary Systems in the TESS field: CD-34 13220, HD 295082, TYC 6484-426-1 and TYC 6527-2310-1

We present the first evidence for the binarity of four targets in the TESS field. The temperatures are estimated by SED analysis and the orbital periods are determined. The TESS light curves of the systems are analysed and the orbital and the absolute parameters are derived. The targets are also compared to well-studied binary systems with the same morphological type and their evolutionary states are discussed. Our results indicate that the stars belong to the class of eclipsing detached binary systems.

VR 'SPACE OPERA': Mimetic Spectralism in an Immersive Starlight Audification System

This paper describes a system designed as part of an interactive VR opera, which immerses a real-time composer and an audience (via a network) in the historical location of Gobeklitepe, in southern Turkey during an imaginary scenario set in the Pre-Pottery Neolithic period (8500-5500 BCE), viewed by some to be the earliest example of a temple, or observatory. In this scene music is generated, where the harmonic material is determined based on observations of light variation from pulsating stars, that would have theoretically been overhead on the 1st of October 8000 BC at 23:00 and animal calls based on the reliefs in the temple. Based on the observations of the stars V465 Per, HD 217860, 16 Lac, BG CVn and KIC 6382916, frequency collections were derived and applied to the generation of musical sound and notation sequences within a custom VR environment using a novel method incorporating spectralist techniques. Parameters controlling this 'resynthesis' can be manipulated by the performer using a Leap Motion controller and Oculus Rift HMD, yielding both sonic and visual results in the environment. The final opera is to be viewed via Google Cardboard and delivered over the Internet. This entire process aims to pose questions about real-time composition through time distortion and invoke a sense of wonder and meaningfulness through a ritualistic experience.

First Light Curve Analyses of Binary Systems AO Aqr, CW Aqr and ASAS 012206-4924.7

Using the data from the public database of the All Sky Automated Survey ({\tt ASAS}) we performed the very first light curve analyses of the three eclipsing binary systems \astrobj{AO~Aqr}, \astrobj{CW~Aqr} and \astrobj{ASAS~012206-4924.7}. The physical parameters of the systems were determined by the {\tt PHOEBE} software. From an analysis of the ASAS data it was concluded that AO~Aqr was found to be a contact binary system while CW~Aqr and ASAS~012206-4924.7 were found to be near--contact and detached binaries, respectively. Finally, the locations of the components, corresponding to the estimated physical parameters, in the HR diagram were also discussed.

The low mass ratio contact binary system V728 Herculis

We present the orbital period study and the photometric analys of the contact binary system V728 Her. Our orbital period analysis shows that the period of the system increases (dP/dt=1.92x10^-7dyr^-1) and the mass transfer rate from the less massive component to more massive one is 2.51x10^-8M_suny^-1. In addition, an advanced sinusoidal variation in period can be attributed to the light-time effect by a tertiary component or the Applegate mechanism triggered by the secondary component. The simultaneous multicolor BVR light and radial velocity curves solution indicates that the physical parameters of the system are M1=1.8M_sun, M2=0.28M_sun, R1=1.87R_sun, R2=0.82R_sun, L1=5.9L_sun, and L2=1.2L_sun. We discuss the evolutionary status and conclude that V728 Her is a deep (f=81%), low mass ratio (q=0.16) contact binary system.

The Multiperiodic Pulsating Star Y Cam A as a Musical Instrument

In this study we generate musical chords from the oscillation frequencies of the primary component of oscillating eclipsing Algol system Y Cam. The parameters and the procedure of the musical chord generation process from the stellar oscillations are described in detail. A musical piece is also composed in appropriate scale for Y Cam A by using the generated chords from the results of the asteroseismic analysis of the stellar data. The music scores and the digital sound files are provided for both the generated chords and the musical composition. Our study shows that the further orchestral compositions can be made from the frequency analysis results of several pulsating stars by using the procedure stated in present study.
