The $B\to D^{(*)} lν_l$ decays in the pQCD approach with the Lattice QCD input

In this paper, we studied the semileptonic decays $B \to D^{(*)} l^- \barν_l$ by using the "pQCD+Lattice QCD" method. We made the extrapolation for the six relevant form factors by using the input values obtained from the pQCD factorization approach in the low $q^2$ region of $0\leq q^2 \leq m_τ^2$, and the Lattice QCD input at the end-point $q^2=q^2_{\rm max}$. We then calculated the ratios $R(D)$ and $R(D^*)$ of the branching ratios ${\cal B}(B \to D^{(*)} l^- \barν_l)$, and found numerically that (1) the "pQCD+Lattice QCD" predictions for the branching ratios ${\cal B}(B \to D^{(*)} l^-\barν_l)$ agree well with the measured values within one standard deviation, and (2) the "pQCD+Lattice QCD" predictions for the ratios $R(D^{(*)})$ are $ R(D)=0.337^{+0.038}_{-0.037}$ and $ R(D^*)=0.269^{+0.021}_{-0.020}$, they agree with the data within $2σ$ deviation, in other words, one can explain the "$R(D^{(*)})$-puzzle" in the framework of the standard model.

Analysis of $B_s\to ϕμ^+μ^-$ decay within supersymmetry

Motivated by the first measurement on $\mathcal{B}(B_s\toϕμ^+μ^-)$ by the CDF Collaboration, we study the supersymmetric effects in semi-leptonic $B_s\toϕμ^+μ^-$ decay. In our evaluations, we analyze the dependences of the dimuon invariant mass spectrum and the forward-backward asymmetry on relevant supersymmetric couplings in the MSSM with and without R-parity. The analyses show the new experimental upper limits of $\mathcal{B}(B_s\toμ^+μ^-)$ from the LHCb Collaboration could further improve the bounds on sneutrino exchange couplings and $(δ^u_{LL})_{23}$ as well as $(δ^d_{LL,RR})_{23}$ mass insertion couplings. In addition, within the allowed ranges of relevant couplings under the constraints from $\mathcal{B}(B_s\toϕμ^+μ^-)$, $\mathcal{B}(B\to K^{(*)}μ^+μ^-)$ and $\mathcal{B}(B_s\to μ^+μ^-)$, the dimuon forward-backward asymmetry and the differential dimuon forward-backward asymmetry of $B_s\toϕμ^+μ^-$ are highly sensitive to the squark exchange contribution and the $(δ^u_{LL})_{23}$ mass insertion contribution. The results obtained in this work will be very useful in searching supersymmetric signal at the LHC.

Reevaluating R-parity Violating Supersymmetry Effects in B_s^0-\bar{B}_s^0 Mixing

Recently, the CDF and DØ collaborations have claimed that the CP violating phase in $B_s^0-\bar{B}_s^0$ mixing is large, which is contrary to the expectations in the Standard Model. Such a large phase suggests New Physics contributions to $B_s^0-\bar{B}_s^0$ mixing. Motivated by this, we reevaluate the constraints on R-parity violating contributions, including baryon number violating couplings not considered before, to the mixing mass matrix element $M^s_{12}$ from the recent measurements of $B_s^0-\bar{B}_s^0$ mixing. We show that present data allow us to put quite strong constraints on both the magnitudes and the weak phases of the R-parity violating parameters. Some of these bounds are better than the exciting ones, and some bounds are obtained for the first time. Near future experiments at the Tevatron, the LHC and B-factories can shrink or reveal the relevant parameter spaces of R-parity violating couplings.
