In the first part of this paper we propose a new theoretical model of city growth based on percolation. The second half oh the paper is devoted to a concrete application of the model, namely to the city of Montargis. It appears that the embedded algorithm is quite efficient in terms of computational time and allows to exploit big data type ressources such as individual land lots.
We consider (not self-similar) Cantor sets defined by a sequence of piecewise linear functions. We prove that the dimension of the harmonic measure on such a set is strictly smaller than its Hausdorff dimension. Some Hausdorff measure estimates for these sets are also provided.
We are interested to the multifractal analysis of inhomogeneous Bernoulli products which are also known as coin tossing measures. We give conditions ensuring the validity of the multifractal formalism for such measures. On another hand, we show that these measures can have a dense set of phase transitions.
We show that the dimension of the exit distribution of planar partially reflected Brownian motion can be arbitrarily close to 2.
We are interested on the statistics of the duration of Brownian diffusions started at distance εfrom a given boundary and stopped when they hit back the interface.
