Cosmic vacuum and large-scale perturbations in the concordant model

The evolution of cosmological large-scale perturbations is described in terms of the concordant model based on the recent discovery of cosmic vacuum. It is demonstrated that the process is robustly controlled by a few epoch-independent physical parameters. The parameters guarantee that the initially weak perturbations become nonlinear before (but near) the termination of gravitational instability by cosmic vacuum. No fine tuning for the perturbation amplitude is needed.

Eliminating the `flatness problem' with the use of Type Ia supernova data

Recent measurements of the cosmological constant or cosmic vacuum in Type Ia SN observations (Riess et al.1998, Perlmutter et al. 1999) imply that $Ω(t)$ is exactly unity or nearly unity at any epoch of cosmic evolution. No fine tuning is needed to describe this phenomenon with the standard cosmological model based on the Type Ia SN data. A time-independent symmetry relation between vacuum and matter is basically behind the observed near-parabolic expansion.

Interplay Between Gravity and Quintessence: A Set of New GR Solutions

A set of new exact analytical General Relativity (GR) solutions with time-dependent and spatially inhomogeneous quintessence demonstrate 1) a static non-empty space-time with a horizon-type singular surface; 2) time-dependent spatially homogeneous `spheres' which are completely different in geometry from the Friedmann isotropic models; 3) infinitely strong anti-gravity at a `true' singularity where the density is infinitely large. It is also found that 4) the GR solutions allow for an extreme `density-free' form of energy that can generate regular space-time geometries.

New appearance of cosmic coincidence problem

The integrals of the Friedmann cosmology equations are identified as constant physical characteristics for both vacuum and non-vacuum cosmic energies. The integrals are found to be numerically coincident. A model shows that the coincidence can naturally originate in the electroweak scale physics at TeV temperatures. The coincidence seems to reflect a new type of symmetry that relates vacuum and non-vacuum energies.

Zeldovich flow on cosmic vacuum background: new exact nonlinear analytical solution

A new exact nonlinear Newtonian solution for a plane matter flow superimposed on the isotropic Hubble expansion is reported. The dynamical effect of cosmic vacuum is taken into account. The solution describes the evolution of nonlinear perturbations via gravitational instability of matter and the termination of the perturbation growth by anti-gravity of vacuum at the epoch of transition from matter domination to vacuum domination. On this basis, an `approximate' 3D solution is suggested as an analog of the Zeldovich ansatz.
