Shapovalov elements of classical and quantum groups

Shapovalov elements θβ,mθ_{β,m} of the classical or quantized universal enveloping algebra of a simple Lie algebra g\mathfrak{g} are parameterized by a positive root ββ and a positive integer mm. They relate the highest vector of a reducible Verma module with highest vectors of its submodules. We obtain a factorization of θβ,mθ_{β,m} to a product of θβ,1θ_{β,1} and calculate θβ,1θ_{β,1} as a residue of a matrix element of the inverse Shapovalov form via a generalized Nigel-Moshinsky algorithm. This way we explicitly express θβ,mθ_{β,m} of a classical simple Lie algebra through the Cartan-Weyl basis in g\mathfrak{g}. In the case of quantum groups, we give an analogous formulation through the entries of the R-matrix (quantum LL-operator) in fundamental representations.

Factorization of Shapovalov elements

Shapovalov elements θβ,mθ_{β,m} are special elements in a Borel subalgebra of a classical or quantum universal enveloping algebra parameterized by a positive root ββ and a positive integer mm. They relate the canonical generator of a reducible Verma module with highest vectors of its Verma submodules. For m=1m=1, they can be explicitly obtained as matrix elements of the inverse Shapovalov form. We extend this approach to m>1m>1 for all ββ but three roots in g2\mathfrak{g}_2, f4\mathfrak{f}_4, and e8\mathfrak{e}_8, presenting θβ,mθ_{β,m} as a product of matrix elements of weight ββ.

Quantum exceptional group G2G_2 and its conjugacy classes

We construct quantization of semisimple conjugacy classes of the exceptional group G=G2G=G_2 along with and by means of their exact representations in highest weight modules of the quantum group Uq(g)U_q(\mathfrak{g}). With every point tt of a fixed maximal torus we associate a highest weight module MtM_t over Uq(g)U_q(\mathfrak{g}) and realize the quantized polynomial algebra of the class of tt by linear operators on MtM_t. Quantizations corresponding to points of the same orbit of the Weyl group are isomorphic.

Regularization of Mickelsson generators for non-exceptional quantum groups

Let g′⊂g\mathfrak{g}'\subset \mathfrak{g} be the pair of Lie algebras of either symplectic or orthogonal infinitesimal endomorphisms of the complex vector spaces CN−2⊂CN\mathbb{C}^{N-2}\subset \mathbb{C}^N and Uq(g′)⊂Uq(g)U_q(\mathfrak{g}')\subset U_q(\mathfrak{g}) the pair of quantum groups with triangular decomposition Uq(g)=Uq(g−)Uq(g+)Uq(h)U_q(\mathfrak{g})=U_q(\mathfrak{g}_-)U_q(\mathfrak{g}_+)U_q(\mathfrak{h}). Let Zq(g,g′)Z_q(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}') be the corresponding step algebra and regard its generators as rational trigonometric functions h∗→Uq(g±)\mathfrak{h}^*\to U_q(\mathfrak{g}_\pm). We describe their regularization such that the resulting generators do not vanish when specialized at any weight.

Representations of quantum conjugacy classes of orthosymplectic groups

Let GG be the complex symplectic or special orthogonal group and $\g$ its Lie algebra. With every point xx of the maximal torus T⊂GT\subset G we associate a highest weight module MxM_x over the Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum group $U_q(\g)$ and a quantization of the conjugacy class of xx by operators in $\End(M_x)$. These quantizations are isomorphic for xx lying on the same orbit of the Weyl group, and MxM_x support different representations of the same quantum conjugacy class.

On representations of quantum conjugacy classes of GL(n)

Let OO be a closed Poisson conjugacy class of the complex algebraic Poisson group GL(n) relative to the Drinfeld-Jimbo factorizable classical r-matrix. Denote by TT the maximal torus of diagonal matrices in GL(n). With every a∈O∩Ta\in O\cap T we associate a highest weight module MaM_a over the quantum group Uq(gl(n))U_q(gl(n)) and an equivariant quantization Ch,a[O]C_{h,a}[O] of the polynomial ring C[O]C[O] realized by operators on MaM_a. All quantizations Ch,a[O]C_{h,a}[O] are isomorphic and can be regarded as different exact representations of the same algebra, Ch[O]C_{h}[O]. Similar results are obtained for semisimple adjoint orbits in gl(n)gl(n) equipped with the canonical GL(n)-invariant Poisson structure.
