Cox rings of algebraic stacks

We give a proper definition of the multiplicative structure of the following rings: the Cox ring of invertible sheaves on a general algebraic stack; and the Cox ring of rank one reflexive sheaves on a normal and excellent algebraic stack. We show that such Cox rings always exist and establish their (non-)uniqueness in terms of an Ext-group. Moreover, we compare our definition with the classical construction of a Cox ring on a variety. Finally, we give an application to the theory of Mori dream stacks.

Rationalizability of field extensions with a view towards Feynman integrals

In 2021, Marco Besier and the first author introduced the concept of rationalizability of square roots to simplify arguments of Feynman integrals. In this work, we generalize the definition of rationalizability to field extensions. We then show that the rationalizability of a set of quadratic field extensions is equivalent to the rationalizability of the compositum of the field extensions, providing a new strategy to prove rationalizability of sets of square roots of polynomials.

Frobenius and spherical codomains and neighbourhoods

Given an exact functor between triangulated categories which admits both adjoints and whose cotwist is either zero or an autoequivalence, we show how to associate a unique full triangulated subcategory of the codomain on which the functor becomes either Frobenius or spherical, respectively. We illustrate our construction with examples coming from projective bundles and smooth blowups. This work generalises results about spherical subcategories obtained by Martin Kalck, David Ploog and the first author.

Families of Invariant Divisors on Rational Complexity-One T-Varieties

We study invariant divisors on the total spaces of the homogeneous deformations of rational complexity-one T-varieties constructed by Ilten and Vollmert. In particular, we identify a natural subgroup of the Picard group for any general fiber of such a deformation, which is canonically isomorphic to the Picard group of the special fiber. This isomorphism preserves Euler characteristic, intersection numbers, and the canonical class.
