Source of the Kerr-Newman Solution as a Supersymmetric Domain-Wall Bubble: 50 years of the problem

We consider the chiral field model of the source of the Kerr-Newman (KN) solution and obtain that it represents a supersymmetric spinning soliton, bounded by the chiral domain wall (DW) of the ellipsoidal form. The known method for transformation of the planar DW to Bogomolnyi form we generalize to the curved DW-bubble adapted to the Kerr coordinate system and obtain the supersymmetric BPS-saturated source of the KN solution, having some remarkable features, in particular, the quantum angular momentum. The main new result is that the source forms a breather, i.e. the DW-antiDW combination. Taking into account that the KN solution describes the spinning particles with gyromagnetic ratio g = 2, as that of the Dirac electron, we touch the problem of the compatibility of the spinning particles with gravity.

Conflict quantum theory and gravity as a source of particle stability

We build a regular core of the Kerr-Newman (KN) solution and considered it as an extended soliton or bag model of spinning particle creating external gravitational and electromagnetic field of an electron. The known conflict between Quantum Theory and Gravity is solved by formation of a domain wall boundary separating zones of their influence. Gravity controls external classical (KN) spacetime, while Quantum theory is responsible for the flat zone of supersymmetric core. We show that Bogomolnyi bound determines precise boundary between these zones, controlling the shape, dynamics and stability of the particle.

Gravitating bag as a coherent system of the point-like and dressed electron

Gravitational and electromagnetic fields of an electron correspond to over-rotating Kerr-Newman (KN) solution, which has a naked singular ring and two-sheeted topology. This solution is regularized by a solitonic source, in which singular interior is replaced by a vacuum bubble filled by the Higgs field in a false-vacuum state. Field model of this KN bubble has much in common with the famous MIT and SLAC bag models, but the geometry is "dual" (turned inside out), leading to consistency of the KN bag model with gravity. Similar to other bag models, the KN bag is compliant to deformations, and under rotations it takes an oblate ellipsoidal form, creating a circular string along the border. Electromagnetic excitations of the KN bag generate stringy traveling waves which deform the bag, creating a traveling singular pole, included in a general bag-string-quark complex. The dressed electron may be considered in this model as a coherent excitation of this system, confining the point-like electron (as a quark) in state of zitterbewegung.

Gravitating lepton bag model

As is known, the gravitational and electromagnetic (EM) field of the Dirac electron is described by an over-extremal Kerr-Newman (KN) black hole (BH) solution which has the naked singular ring and two-sheeted topology. This space is regulated by the formation of a regular source based on the Higgs mechanism of broken symmetry. This source shares much in common with the known MIT- and SLAC-bag models, but has the important advantage, of being in accordance with gravitational and electromagnetic field of the external KN solution. The KN bag model is flexible. At rotations, it takes the shape of a thin disk, and similar to other bag models, under deformations it creates a string-like structure which is positioned along the sharp border of the disk.

Emergence of the Dirac Equation in the Solitonic Source of the Kerr Spinning Particle

Gravitational and electromagnetic (EM) field of the Dirac electron is described by the Kerr-Newman (KN) solution. We elaborate a regular source of the KN solution which satisfies the requirement of flat space-time inside the source and realization of the exact KN solution outside the source. This requirement removes conflict between gravity and quantum theory and determines many details of the source structure. In particular, we obtain that the KN source should forms a gravitating bag model, similar to the known MIT and SLAC bag models. As opposite to the known bag models, the self-interacting Higgs field should be confined inside the bag, while outside the bag the gauge symmetry should be unbroken to provide the external KN gravity. We show that twistorial structure of the Kerr geometry (the Kerr theorem) determines structure of the Dirac equation, resulting in a variable mass term, which is generated inside the bag through interaction with the confined Higgs field. Similar to the other bag models, ellipsoidal deformations of the KN bag creates a string-like structure of the dressed electron -- circular string positioned along perimeter of the KN bag.

Kerr-Newman electron as spinning soliton

Measurable parameters of the electron indicate that its background should be described by the Kerr-Newman (KN) solution. Spin/mass ratio of the electron is extreme large, and the black hole horizons disappear, opening a topological defect of spacetime -- the Kerr singular ring of the Compton size, which may be interpreted as a closed fundamental string to the low energy string theory. The singular and twosheeted structure of the corresponding Kerr space has to be regularized, and we consider the old problem of regular source of the KN solution. As a development of the earlier Keres-Israel-Hamity-López model, we describe the model of smooth and regular source forming a gravitating and relativistically rotating soliton based on the chiral field model and the Higgs mechanism of broken symmetry. The model reveals some new remarkable properties: 1) the soliton forms a relativistically rotating bubble of the Compton radius, which is filled by the oscillating Higgs field in pseudo-vacuum state, 2) boundary of the bubble forms a domain wall which interpolates between the internal flat background and the external exact Kerr-Newman (KN) solution, 3) phase transition is provided by a system of the chiral fields, 4) vector potential of the external the KN solution forms a closed Wilson loop which is quantized, giving rise to quantum spin of the soliton. 5) soliton is bordered by a closed string, which is a part of the general complex stringy structure.

Stringlike structures in the real and complex Kerr-Schild geometry

Four-dimensional Kerr-Schild (KS) geometry displays remarkable relationships with quantum world and theory of superstrings. In particular, the Kerr-Newman (KN) solution has gyromagnetic ratio g = 2, as that of the Dirac electron and represents a consistent background for gravitational and electromagnetic field of the electron. As a consequence of very big spin/mass ratio, black hole horizons disappear, exposing the naked Kerr singular ring. We consider four-decade history of development of this structure which took finally the form of a point-string-membrane-bubble complex which is reminiscent of the enhancon model of string/M-theory. A complex string obtained in the complex structure of the Kerr geometry gives an extra dimension to the world-sheet of the real Kerr string, forming a membrane by analogue with the string/M-theory unification. By analysis of the orientifold parity of the complex Kerr string, we obtain that the determined by the Kerr theorem principal null congruence of the Kerr geometry is described by a quartic equation in projective twistor space CP3, and therefore, it creates the known Calabi- Yau twofold (K3 surface) in twistor space of the 4d KS geometry. We connect it with N=2 superstring which has (complex) critical dimension two and may be embedded into complex KS geometry.

Complex Structure of the Four-Dimensional Kerr Geometry: Stringy System, Kerr Theorem, and Calabi-Yau Twofold

The 4d Kerr geometry displays many wonderful relations with quantum world and, in particular, with superstring theory. The lightlike structure of fields near the Kerr singular ring is similar to the structure of Sen solution for a closed heterotic string. Another string, open and complex, appears in the complex representation of the Kerr geometry initiated by Lind and Newman . Combination of these strings forms a membrane source of the Kerr geometry which is parallel to the string/M-theory unification. In this paper we give one more evidence of this relationship, emergence of the Calabi-Yau twofold (K3 surface) in twistorial structure of the Kerr geometry as a consequence of the Kerr theorem. Finally, we indicate that the Kerr stringy system may correspond to a complex embedding of the critical N=2 superstring.

Stringlike structures in Kerr-Schild geometry: N=2 string, twistors and Calabi-Yau twofold

Four-dimensional Kerr-Schild geometry contains two stringy structures. The first one is the closed string formed by the Kerr singular ring, and the second one is an open complex string with was obtained in the complex structure of the Kerr-Schild geometry. The real and complex Kerr strings form together a membrane source of the over-rotating Kerr-Newman solution without horizon, $a =J/m >> m .$ It has also been obtained recently that the principal null congruence of the Kerr geometry, induced by the complex Kerr string, is determined by the Kerr theorem as a quartic in the projective twistor space, which corresponds to embedding of the Calabi-Yau twofold in the bulk of the Kerr geometry. In this paper we describe this embedding in details and show that the four folds of the twistorial K3 surface represent an analytic extension of the Kerr congruence created by antipodal involution.

What tells Gravity on the shape and size of an electron

Gravitational field of an electron, fixed by experimental values of its mass, spin, charge and magnetic moment, is given by the metric of Kerr-Newman (KN) solution. Unexpectedly, this metric contains a singular ring of the Compton radius, which should be regulated resulting in a weeak and smooth source. The consistent source takes the form of an oblate vacuum bubble, bounded by a closed string of the Compton radius. The bubble turns out to be relativistically rotating and should be filled by a coherently oscillating Higgs field in a false vacuum state.

Complex structure of Kerr-Schild geometry: Calabi-Yau twofold from the Kerr theorem

We consider Newman's representation of the Kerr geometry as a complex retarded-time construction generated by a source propagating along a complex world-line. We notice that the complex world-line forms really an open complex string, endpoints of which should have independent dynamics by the string excitations. The adjoined to complex Kerr string twistorial structure is determined by the Kerr theorem, and we obtain that the resulting Kerr's equation describes a quartic in projective twistor $CP^3 ,$ which is known as Calabi-Yau twofold of superstring theory. Along with other remarkable similarities with superstring theory, the Kerr geometry has principal distinctions being the four-dimensional theory consistent with gravity at the Compton scale, contrary to the Planck scale of the superstring theory.

Gravitational strings beyond quantum theory: Electron as a closed heterotic string

The observable parameters of the electron indicate unambiguously that its gravitational background should be the Kerr-Newman solution without horizons. This background is not flat and has a non-trivial topology created by the Kerr singular ring. This ring was identified with a closed gravitational string. We discuss the relation of this string to the closed heterotic string of the low energy string theory and show that traveling waves along the KN string give rise to the Dirac theory of electron. Gravitational strings form a bridge between gravity and quantum theory, indicating a new way to consistent Quantum Gravity. We explain the pointlike experimental exhibition of the electron and argue that the predicted closed string may be observed by the novel experimental method of the "nonforward" Compton scattering.

Gravity vs. Quantum theory: Is electron really pointlike?

The observable gravitational and electromagnetic parameters of an electron: mass $m$, spin $J=\hbar/2$, charge $e$ and magnetic moment $ea = e\hbar /(2m)$ indicate unambiguously that the electron should had the Kerr-Newman background geometry -- exact solution of the Einstein-Maxwell gravity for a charged and rotating black hole. Contrary to the widespread opinion that gravity plays essential role only on the Planck scales, the Kerr-Newman gravity displays a new dimensional parameter $a =\hbar/(2m),$ which for parameters of an electron corresponds to the Compton wavelength and turns out to be very far from the Planck scale. Extremely large spin of the electron with respect to its mass produces the Kerr geometry without horizon, which displays very essential topological changes at the Compton distance resulting in a two-fold structure of the electron background. The corresponding gravitational and electromagnetic fields of the electron are concentrated near the Kerr ring, forming a sort of a closed string, structure of which is close to the described by Sen heterotic string. The indicated by Gravity stringlike structure of the electron contradicts to the statements of Quantum theory that electron is pointlike and structureless. However, it confirms the peculiar role of the Compton zone of the "dressed" electron and matches with the known limit of the localization of the Dirac electron. We discuss the relation of the Kerr string with the low energy string theory and with the Dirac theory of electron and suggest that the predicted by the Kerr-Newman gravity closed string in the core of the electron, should be experimentally observable by the novel regime of the high energy scattering -- the Deeply Virtual (or "nonforward")Compton Scattering".

Kerr-Schild Geometry from Cosmology to Microworld and Space-Time Structure

The Kerr-Schild (KS) geometry is linked tightly with the auxiliary \emph{flat} Minkowski background. Nevertheless, it describes many curved space-times and the related physical models, starting from cosmology and black holes to the microworld of the spinning elementary particles and the pre-quantum structure of vacuum fluctuations. We consider here a KS model of the Bubble Universe -- a semi-closed Universe with a rotating de Sitter (or anti-de Sitter) space embedded in an external flat space-time. When the solution has two horizons, it may also be interpreted as an Universe inside a black hole. In micro-world the KS geometry yields a model of the spinning particle consistent with gravity and describes a pre-quantum twistorial structure of space-time with the beam-like fluctuations of metric consistent with the beamlike fluctuations of electromagnetic vacuum. These light-like twistor-beam excitations are consistent with gravity and generalize the known pp-wave solutions. Following Wheeler's estimations of the density of vacuum fluctuations we arrive at the general conclusion that Universe should be flat and have a zero cosmological constant. It enforces us to return to an `effective flat geometry' filled by the electromagnetic background radiation.

Gravity versus Quantum theory: Is electron really pointlike?

Quantum theory claims that electron is pointlike and structureless. Contrary, the consistent with Gravity Kerr-Newman (KN) electron model displays an extended structure of the Compton size $r_c=\hbar /m .$ We obtain that there is no real conflict between the extended Gravitating electron and a Quantum electron "dressed" by virtual particles. In the same time the KN model indicates new important details of the electron structure and sheds new light on some old puzzles of quantum theory. In particular, the KN Gravity predicts that electron forms a disklike vacuum bubble bounded by a closed string, which could probably be detected by the novel experiments. If it will be confirmed, it would be of primary importance for foundations of Quantum theory and unification of Quantum theory with Gravity.

Fluctuating Twistor-Beam Solutions and Holographic Pre-Quantum Kerr-Schild Geometry

Kerr-Schild (KS) geometry is based on a congruence of twistor null lines which forms a holographic space-time determined by the Kerr theorem. We describe in details integration of the non-stationary Debney-Kerr-Schild equations for electromagnetic excitations of black-holes taking into account the consistent back-reaction to metric. The exact KS solutions have the form of singular beam-like pulses supported on twistor null lines of the Kerr congruence. These twistor-beam pulses have very strong back reaction to metric and BH horizon and produce a fluctuating holographic KS geometry which takes an intermediate position between the Classical and Quantum gravity.

New Aspects of the Problem of the Source of Kerr Spinning Particle

We consider development of the models of the source of the Kerr-Newman (KN) solution and new aspects related with the obtained recently field model based on a domain wall bubble with superconducting interior, arXiv:1003.2928[hep-th]. The internal Higgs field regularizes the KN solution, expelling electromagnetic field from interior to the boundary of bubble. The KN source forms a gravitating soliton, interior of which is similar to oscillating solitons (Q-balls, oscillons), while exterior is consistent with the KN solution. We obtain that a closed Wilson loop appears on the edge of the bubble, resulting in quantization of angular momentum of the regularized solutions. A new holographic interpretation of the mysterious twosheetedness of the Kerr geometry is given. The KN gravitating soliton with parameters of electron is discussed.

Regularized Kerr-Newman Solution as a Gravitating Soliton

The charged, spinning and gravitating soliton is realized as a regular solution of the Kerr-Newman field coupled with a chiral Higgs model. A regular core of the solution is formed by a domain wall bubble interpolating between the external Kerr-Newman solution and a flat superconducting interior. An internal electromagnetic (em) field is expelled to the boundary of the bubble by the Higgs field. The solution reveals two new peculiarities: (i) the Higgs field is oscillating, similar to the known oscillon models, (ii) the em field forms on the edge of the bubble a Wilson loop, resulting in quantization of the total angular momentum.

Twistor-Beam Excitations of Black-Holes and Prequantum Kerr-Schild Geometry

Exact Kerr-Schild (KS) solutions for electromagnetic excitations of black-holes, have the form of singular beams supported on twistor lines of the KS geometry. These beams have a very strong back-reaction on the metric and horizon and create a fluctuating KS geometry occupying an intermediate position between the classical and quantum gravities. We consider the Kerr theorem, which determines the twistor structure of the KS geometry and the corresponding holographic prequantum space-time adapted to subsequent quantum treatment.

Instability of Black Hole Horizon With Respect to Electromagnetic Excitations

Analyzing exact solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations in the Kerr-Schild formalism we show that black hole horizon is instable with respect to electromagnetic excitations. Contrary to perturbative smooth harmonic solutions, the exact solutions for electromagnetic excitations on the Kerr background are accompanied by singular beams which have very strong back reaction to metric and break the horizon, forming the holes which allow radiation to escape interior of black-hole. As a result, even the weak vacuum fluctuations break the horizon topologically, covering it by a set of fluctuating microholes. We conclude with a series of nontrivial consequences, one of which is that there is no information loss inside of black-hole.

Superconducting Source of the Kerr-Newman Electron

Regular superconducting solution for interior of the Kerr-Newman (KN) spinning particle is obtained. For parameters of electron it represents a highly oblated rotating bubble formed by Higgs field which expels the electromagnetic (em) field and currents from interior to domain wall boundary of the bubble. The external em and gravitational fields correspond exactly to Kerr-Newman solution, while interior of the bubble is flat and forms a `false' vacuum with zero energy density. Vortex of the KN em field forms a quantum Wilson loop on the edge of the rotating disk-like bubble.

The Kerr theorem and multiparticle Kerr-Schild solutions

We discuss and prove an extended version of the Kerr theorem which allows one to construct exact solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell field equations from a holomorphic generating function $F$ of twistor variables. The exact multiparticle Kerr-Schild solutions are obtained from generating function of the form $F=\prod_i^k F_i, $ where $F_i$ are partial generating functions for the spinning particles $ i=1...k$. Solutions have an unusual multi-sheeted structure. Twistorial structures of the i-th and j-th particles do not feel each other, forming a type of its internal space. Gravitational and electromagnetic interaction of the particles occurs via the light-like singular twistor lines. As a result, each particle turns out to be `dressed' by singular pp-strings connecting it to other particles. We argue that this solution may have a relation to quantum theory and to quantum gravity.

Twistorial Analyticity and Three Stringy Systems of the Kerr Spinning Particle

The Kerr spinning particle has a remarkable analytical twistorial structure. Analyzing electromagnetic excitations of the Kerr circular string which are aligned to this structure, we obtain a simple stringy skeleton of the spinning particle which is formed by a topological coupling of the Kerr circular singular string and by an axial singular stringy system. We show that the chiral traveling waves, related to an orientifold world-sheet of the axial stringy system, are described by the massive Dirac equation, so we argue that the axial string may play the part of a stringy carrier of wave function and play also a dominant role in the scattering processes. A key role of the third, {\it complex} Kerr string is discussed. We conjecture that it may be one more alternative to the Witten twistor string, and a relation to the spinor helicity formalism is also discussed.

Complex Structure of Kerr Geometry and Rotating `Photon Rocket' Solutions

In the frame of the Kerr-Schild approach, we obtain a generalization of the Kerr solution to a nonstationary case corresponding to a rotating source moving with arbitrary acceleration. Similar to the Kerr solution, the solutions obtained have the geodesic and shear free principal null congruence. The current parameters of the solutions are determined by a complex retarded-time construction via a given complex worldline of source. The real part of the complex worldline defines the values of the boost and acceleration while the imaginary part controls the rotation. The acceleration of the source is accompanied by a lightlike radiation along the principal null congruence. The solutions obtained generalize to the rotating case the known Kinnersley class of the "photon rocket" solutions.

Regular Sources of the Kerr-Schild class for Rotating and Nonrotating Black Hole Solutions

A unified approach to regular interiors of black holes with smooth matter distributions in the core region is given. The approach is based on a class of Kerr-Schild metrics representing minimal deformations of the Kerr-Newman solution, and allows us to give a common treatment for (charged and uncharged) rotating and nonrotating black holes. It is shown that the requirement of smoothness of the source constraints the structure of the core region in many respects: in particular, for Schwarzschild holes a de Sitter core can be selected, which is surrounded by a smooth shell giving a leading contribution to the total mass of the source. In the rotating, noncharged case the source has a similar structure, taking the form of a (anisotropic and rotating) de Sitter-like core surrounded by a rotating elliptic shell. The Kerr singular ring is regularized by anisotropic matter rotating in the equatorial plane, so that the negative sheet of the Kerr geometry is absent. In the charged case the sources take the form of ``bags'', which can have de Sitter or anti de Sitter interiors and a smooth domain wall boundary, with a tangential stress providing charge confinement. The ADM and Tolman relations are used to calculate the total mass of the sources.

Behaviour of Singularities of the Kerr-Newman and the Kerr-Sen Solutions by Arbitrary Boost

Behaviour of singularities of the rotating black holes under an arbitrary boost is considered on the basis of a complex representation of the Kerr theorem. We give a simple algorithm allowing to get explicit expressions for the metric and the position of the singularities for arbitrary direction and magnitude of the boost, including the ultrarelativistic case. The non-smoothness of the ultrarelativistic limit is discussed. The Kerr-Sen BH-solution to low energy string theory is also analyzed.

Spinning Particle as a Super Black Hole

A natural combined model of the Kerr spinning particle and superparticle is obtained leading to a non-trivial super black hole solution. By analogue with complex structure of the Kerr solution we perform a supershift on the Kerr geometry, and then select a "body"-submanifold of superspace that yields a non-trivial supergeneralization of the Kerr metric with a nonlinear realization of (2,0)-supersymmetry. For the known parameters of spinning particles this "black hole" is to be in a specific state without horizons and very far from extreme. The naked Kerr singular ring has to be hidden inside a rotating superconducting disk, built of a supermultiplet of matter fields. Stringy wave excitations of the Kerr singular ring (traveling waves) yield an extra axial singular line modulated by de Broglie periodicity.

COMPLEX STRING AS SOURCE OF KERR GEOMETRY

The Kerr solution is considered as a soliton-like background for spinning elementary particles. Two stringy structures may be found in the Kerr geometry, one string is real and another one is complex. The main attention in this paper is paid to the complex string, which is connected with the Lind-Newman representation of the Kerr metric source as an object with a complex world-line. In a separate note, one new result is announced concerning the real string: in the dilaton-axion gravity the Kerr singular ring may be considered as a heterotic string, the field near the Kerr singularity coincides with the solution obtained by Sen for heterotic string.
