Exponential decay for nonlinear abstract evolution equations with a countably infinite number of time-dependent time delays

In this paper we analyze a nonlinear abstract evolution equation with an infinite number of time-dependent time delays and a Lipschitz continuous nonlinear term. By using a fixed point argument we prove the existence of a mild solution. This allows us to take into account also nonnegative time delays. Furthermore, by using Gronwall estimates, exponential decay of the solution is also proved under some smallness assumptions on the parameters appearing in the system and on the initial data. Finally some examples are illustrated.

Bifurcation analysis of a coupled system between a transport equation and an ordinary differential equation with time delay

In this paper we analyze a coupled system between a transport equation and an ordinary differential equation with time delay (which is a simplified version of a model for kidney blood flow control). Through a careful spectral analysis we characterize the region of stability, namely the set of parameters for which the system is exponentially stable. Also, we perform a bifurcation analysis and determine some properties of the stable steady state set and the limit cycle oscillation region. Some numerical examples illustrate the theoretical results.

Convergence to consensus for a Hegselmann-Krause-type model with distributed time delay

In this paper we study a Hegselmann-Krause opinion formation model with distributed time delay and positive influence functions. Through a Lyapunov functional approach, we provide a consensus result under a smallness assumption on the initial delay. Furthermore, we analyze a transport equation, obtained as mean--field limit of the particle one. We prove global existence and uniqueness of the measure-valued solution for the delayed transport equation and its convergence to consensus under a smallness assumption on the delay, using a priori estimates which are uniform with respect to the number of agents.

Exponential decay for semilinear wave equations with viscoelastic damping and delay feedback

In this paper we study a class of semilinear wave type equations with viscoelastic damping and delay feedback with time variable coefficient. By combining semigroup arguments, careful energy estimates and an iterative approach we are able to prove, under suitable assumptions, a well-posedness result and an exponential decay estimate for solutions corresponding to small initial data. This extends and concludes the analysis initiated in [16] and then developed in [13, 17].
