A Parafermionic Generalization of the Jaynes Cummings Model

We introduce a parafermionic version of the Jaynes Cummings Hamiltonian, by coupling $k$ Fock parafermions (nilpotent of order $F$) to a 1D harmonic oscillator, representing the interaction with a single mode of the electromagnetic field. We argue that for $k=1$ and $F\leq 3$ there is no difference between Fock parafermions and quantum spins $s=\frac{F-1}{2}$. We also derive a semiclassical approximation of the canonical partition function of the model by assuming $\hbar$ to be small in the regime of large enough total number of excitations $n$, where the dimension of the Hilbert space of the problem becomes constant as a function of $n$. We observe in this case an interesting behaviour of the average of the bosonic number operator showing a single crossover between regimes with different integer values of this observable. These features persist when we generalize the parafermionic Hamiltonian by deforming the bosonic oscillator with a generic function $Φ(x)$; the $q-$deformed bosonic oscillator corresponds to a specific choice of the deformation function $Φ$. In this particular case, we observe at most $k(F-1)$ crossovers in the behavior of the mean bosonic number operator, suggesting a phenomenology of superradiance similar to the $k-$atoms Jaynes Cummings model.

q-deformed Loewner evolution

The Loewner equation, in its stochastic incarnation introduced by Schramm, is an insightful method for the description of critical random curves and interfaces in two-dimensional statistical mechanics. Two features are crucial, namely conformal invariance and a conformal version of the Markov property. Extensions of the equation have been explored in various directions, in order to expand the reach of such a powerful method. We propose a new generalization based on q-calculus, a concept rooted in quantum geometry and non-extensive thermodynamics; the main motivation is the explicit breaking of the Markov property, while retaining scale invariance in the stochastic version. We focus on the deterministic equation and give some exact solutions; the formalism naturally gives rise to multiple mutually-intersecting curves. A general method of simulation is constructed - which can be easily extended to other q-deformed equations - and is applied to both the deterministic and the stochastic realms. The way the $q\neq 1$ picture converges to the classical one is explored as well.

A q-Virasoro Algebra at roots of unity, Free Fermions and Temperley Lieb Hamiltonians

In this work we introduce a novel q-deformation of the Virasoro algebra expressed in terms of free fermions, we then realize that this algebra, when the deformation parameter is a root of unity can be realized exactly on the lattice. We then study the relations existing between this lattice deformed Virasoro algebra at roots of unity and the tower of commuting Temperley-Lieb hamiltonians introduced in a previous work.

Finite Size Corrections for Dimers

In this paper we derive the finite size corrections to the energy eigenvalues of the energy for 2D dimers on a square lattice. These finite size corrections, as in the case of Critical Dense Polymers, are proportional to the eigenvalues of the Local Integrals of Motion of Bazhanov Lukyanov and Zamolodchikov for central charge $c=-2$. This sheds more light on the status of the Dimer model as a conformal field theory with this value of the certral charge.

Free Field realization of the $\hat{\mathcal{D}}_q$ Algebra for the $η$-$ξ$ system, Integrals of Motion and Characters

We introduce a free field realization of the central extension of the Lie algebra $\mathcal{D}_q$ of difference operators on the circle in terms of the fermionic $η$-$ξ$ system. This realization admits a nontrivial Jordan block structure. We also review the free field realization of $\mathcal{W}_{1+\infty}$ algebra, and point out some relations beween its generators of weight zero and the local integrals of motion of Bazhanov Lukyanov and Zamolodchikov. Finally we compute the finitized characters, and the continuum characters of the Local Integrals of Motion, and find out and interesting analogy with the generating functions for the counting of branched covers of elliptic curves.

Lattice Integrals of Motion of the Ising Model on the Cylinder

We consider the 2D critical Ising model with spatially periodic boundary conditions. It is shown that for a suitable reparametrization of the known Boltzmann weights the transfer matrix becomes a polynomial in the variable $\csc(4u)$, being $u$ the spectral parameter. The coefficients of this polynomial are decomposed on the periodic Temperley-Lieb Algebra by introducing a lattice version of the Local Integrals of Motion.

Lattice Integrals of Motion of the Ising Model on the Strip

We consider the 2D critical Ising model on a strip with fixed boundary conditions. It is shown that for a suitable reparametrization of the known Boltzmann weights the transfer matrix becomes a polynomial in the variable $\csc(4u)$, being $u$ the spectral parameter. The coefficients of this polynomial are decomposed on the fixed boundaries Temperley-Lieb Algebra by introducing a lattice version of the Local Integrals of Motion.

The Nonlocal Involutive Charges of the CFT ${\cal M}_{3,4}$

We consider continuum minimal ${\cal M}_{3,4} $ with central charge $c=1/2$. The eigenvalues of the known local involutive charges are known to be related to spectral zeta functions of suitable one dimensional shroedinger hamiltonians. We investigate this connection. We Propose analytic formulae for the eigenvalues of Nonlocal Involutive Charges. We also propose an exact formula for the eigenvalues of the $Ψ$ function of BLZ at central charge $c=1/2$ which reduces to the local non local and dual non local involutive charges for special values on the imaginary axis.

Integrals of Motion for Critical Dense Polymers and Symplectic Fermions

We consider critical dense polymers ${\cal L}(1,2)$. We obtain for this model the eigenvalues of the local integrals of motion of the underlying Conformal Field Theory by means of Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz. We give a detailed description of the relation between this model and Symplectic Fermions including the indecomposable structure of the transfer matrix. Integrals of motion are defined directly on the lattice in terms of the Temperley Lieb Algebra and their eigenvalues are obtained and expressed as an infinite sum of the eigenvalues of the continuum integrals of motion. An elegant decomposition of the transfer matrix in terms of a finite number of lattice integrals of motion is obtained thus providing a reason for their introduction.

The Baxter Q Operator of Critical Dense Polymers

We consider critical dense polymers ${\cal L}_{1,2}$, corresponding to a logarithmic conformal field theory with central charge $c=-2$. An elegant decomposition of the Baxter $Q$ operator is obtained in terms of a finite number of lattice integrals of motion. All local, non local and dual non local involutive charges are introduced directly on the lattice and their continuum limit is found to agree with the expressions predicted by conformal field theory. A highly non trivial operator $Ψ(ν)$ is introduced on the lattice taking values in the Temperley Lieb Algebra. This $Ψ$ function provides a lattice discretization of the analogous function introduced by Bazhanov, Lukyanov and Zamolodchikov. It is also observed how the eigenvalues of the $Q$ operator reproduce the well known spectral determinant for the harmonic oscillator in the continuum scaling limit.
