Optical Shadows of Rotating Bardeen AdS Black Holes

Using the Hamilton-Jacobi method, we study certain optical shadows of rotating Bardeen-AdS black holes in the presence of internal and external field contributions. Precisely, we examine the shadow using one-dimensional real curves. By establishing the equations of motion of such AdS black holes without external dark sectors, we first analyze the shadow configurations in terms of a reduced moduli space involving only internal parameter contributions including the charge of the nonlinear electrodynamics. Among others, we find that this parameter serves as a geometric quantity controlling the shadow shape. Then, we graphically discuss the associated astronomical observables. Enlarging the moduli space, we analyze the behaviors of the quintessential black hole solutions in terms of the involved parameters controlling the dark field sector. Concretely, we observe that the dark energy not only affects the size but also deforms the shadow shape. Finally, we provide a possible link with observations from Event Horizon Telescope by showing certain constraints on the involved moduli space in the light of the M87$^*$ picture.

Robustness of deformed catlike states under dissipative decoherence

The generation of coherent superposition of distinct physical systems and the construction of robust entangled states under decoherence are the most experimental challenges of quantum technologies. In this work, we investigate the behaviors of catlike states of a deformed harmonic oscillator under dissipative decoherence. Varying the deformation parameters, we obtain catlike states having more resistance against decoherence than catlike states of the ordinary harmonic oscillator. Furthermore, we study nonclassical properties and entanglement of different catlike states subjects to decoherence caused by a dissipative interaction with a large environment. Depending on different deformation parameters, we reveal that the nonclassical properties of catlike states under dissipative interaction can be more retarded and preserved in the time.

Multi-qubits and Polyvalent Singularity in Type II Supestring Theory

Inspired by geometric engineering method, we approach qubit systems in the context of D-branes in type II superstrings. Concretely, we establish a correspondence between such quantum systems and polyvalent singularities appearing in local Calabi-Yau manifolds. First, we examine 1-qubit by considering a D2-brane probing the su(2) toric singularity associated with type IIA monovalent geometry. Then, we discuss the multi-qubits in terms of $n$ factors of su(2) singularities using the Cartan decomposition of non zero roots. Applying mirror symmetry, the 4-qubits are linked to the tetravalent singularity associated with the affine \widehat{so(8)} Lie algebra matching with the ADE-correspondences in the context of quantum information theory. Precisely, these states can be identified with wrapped D4-branes in a Calabi-Yau 4-fold near such a singularity.

Qubits from Black Holes in M-theory on K3 Surface

Using M-theory compactification, we develop a three factor separation for the scalar submanifold of N=2 seven dimensional supergravity associated with 2-cycles of the K3 surface. Concretely, we give an interplay between the three scalar submanifold factors and the extremal black holes obtained from M2-branes wrapping such 2-cycles. Then, we show that the corresponding black hole charges are linked to one, two and four qubit systems.

Weighted Graph Theory Representation of Quantum Information Inspired by Lie Algebras

Borrowing ideas from the relation between simply laced Lie algebras and Dynkin diagrams, a weighted graph theory representation of quantum information is addressed. In this way, the density matrix of a quantum state can be interpreted as a signless Laplacian matrix of an associated graph. Using similarities with root systems of simply laced Lie algebras, one-qubit theory is analyzed in some details and is found to be linked to a non-oriented weighted graph having two vertices. Moreover, this one-qubit theory is generalized to n-qubits. In this representation, quantum gates correspond to graph weight operations preserving the probability condition. A speculation from string theory, via D-brane quivers, is also given.

Axion from Quivers in Type II Superstrings

We investigate a string-inspired axion extension of the standard model obtained from Type II superstrings using quiver method. In the first part, we discuss intersecting Type IIA D6-branes wrapping non trivial 3-cycles in the presence of the Peccei-Quinn symmetry U(1)$_{PQ}$. Concretely, a complex scalar field $ϕ=ρexp(\frac{iσ}{f_σ})$, where $σ$ is a closed string axion generates a general fermion Yukawa coupling weighted by a flavor-dependent power $n_{f}$ taking specific values. Using string theory and standard model data, we find that the corresponding axion window is in the allowed range $10^{9}GeV\leq f_σ\leq 10^{12}GeV $ matching with the recent cosmological results. Then, we extend these results to the case of the hyperbolic quiver whose the moduli is related to the stringy axion using root systems of ADE Lie algebras. For the hyperbolic quiver case, we observe that the closed axion decay constant becomes disentangled from the string scale.

Exotic Hadrons and Underlying Z_{2,3} Symmetries

The recent observation of higher quark combinations, tetraquarks and pentaquarks, is a strong indication of more exotic hadrons. Using Z_{2} and Z_{3} symmetries and standard model data, a general quark combination producing new hadronic states is proposed in terms of polygon geometries according to the Dynkin diagrams of \widehat{A}_{n} affine Lie algebras. It has been shown that Z_{\mathbf{2,3}} invariance is crucial in the determination of the mesonic or the baryonic nature of these states. The hexagonal geometry is considered in some details producing both mesonic and baryonic states. A general class of this family is also presented.

F-theory and N=1 Quivers from Polyvalent Geometry

We study four dimensional quiver gauge models from F-theory compactified on fourfolds with hyper-Kähler structure. Using intersecting complex toric surfaces, we derive a class of N=1 quivers with charged fundamental matter placed on external nodes. The emphasis is on how local Calabi-Yau equations solve the corresponding physical constraints including the anomaly cancelation condition. Concretely, a linear chain of SU(N) groups with flavor symmetries has been constructed using polyvalent toric geometry.

Toric Geometry and String Theory Descriptions of Qudit Systems

In this paper, we propose a new way to approach qudit systems using toric geometry and related topics including the local mirror symmetry used in the string theory compactification. We refer to such systems as (n,d) quantum systems where $n$ and $d$ denote the number of the qudits and the basis states respectively. Concretely, we first relate the (n,d) quantum systems to the holomorphic sections of line bundles on n dimensional projective spaces CP^{n} with degree n(d-1). These sections are in one-to-one correspondence with d^n integral points on a n-dimensional simplex. Then, we explore the local mirror map in the toric geometry language to establish a linkage between the (n,d) quantum systems and type II D-branes placed at singularities of local Calabi-Yau manifolds. (1,d) and (2,d) are analyzed in some details and are found to be related to the mirror of the ALE space with the A_{d-1} singularity and a generalized conifold respectively.

Graph Theory and Qubit Information Systems of Extremal Black Branes

Using graph theory based on Adinkras, we consider once again the study of extremal black branes in the framework of quantum information. More precisely, we propose a one to one correspondence between qubit systems, Adinkras and certain extremal black branes obtained from type IIA superstring compactified on T^n. We accordingly interpret the real Hodge diagram of T^n as the geometry of a class of Adinkras formed by 2^n bosonic nodes representing n qubits. In this graphic representation, each node encodes information on the qubit quantum states and the charges of the extremal black branes built on T^n. The correspondence is generalized to n superqubits associated with odd and even geometries on the real supermanifold T^{n|n}. Using a combinatorial computation, general expressions describing the number of the bosonic and the fermionic states are obtained.

Lie symmetries and 2D Material Physics

Inspired from Lie symmetry classification, we establish a correspondence between rank two Lie symmetries and 2D material physics. The material unit cell is accordingly interpreted as the geometry of a root system. The hexagonal cells, appearing in graphene like models, are analyzed in some details and are found to be associated with A_2 and G_2 Lie symmetries. This approach can be applied to Lie supersymmetries associated with fermionic degrees of freedom. It has been suggested that these extended symmetries can offer a new way to deal with doping material geometries. Motivated by Lie symmetry applications in high energy physics, we speculate on a possible connection with (p,q) brane networks used in the string theory compactification on singular Calabi-Yau manifolds.

On Fractional Quantum Hall Solitons and Chern-Simons Quiver Gauge Theories

We investigate a class of hierarchical multiple layers of fractional quantum Hall soliton (FQHS) systems from Chern-Simons quivers embedded in M-theory on the cotangent on a 2-dimensional complex toric variety \bf V^2, which is dual to type IIA superstring on a 3-dimensional complex manifold \bf {CP}^1\times V^2 fibered over a real line \mathbb{R}. Based on M-theory/Type IIA duality, FQHS systems can be derived from wrapped D4-branes on 2-cycles in \bf {CP}^1\times V^2 type IIA geometry. In this realization, the magnetic source can be identified with gauge fields obtained from the decomposition of the R-R 3-form on a generic combination of 2-cycles. Using type IIA D-brane flux data, we compute the filling factors for models relying on \bf{CP}^2 and the zeroth Hirzebruch surface.

On Hexagonal Structures in Higher Dimensional Theories

We analyze the geometrical background under which many Lie groups relevant to particle physics are endowed with a (possibly multiple) hexagonal structure. There are several groups appearing, either as special holonomy groups on the compactification process from higher dimensions, or as dynamical string gauge groups; this includes groups like SU(2),SU(3), G_2, Spin(7), SO(8) as well as E_8 and SO(32). We emphasize also the relation of these hexagonal structures with the octonion division algebra, as we expect as well eventually some role for octonions in the interpretation of symmetries in High Energy Physics.

On Chern-Simons Quivers and Toric Geometry

We discuss a class of 3-dimensional N=4 Chern-Simons (CS) quiver gauge models obtained from M-theory compactifications on singular complex 4-dimensional hyper-Kahler (HK) manifolds, which are realized explicitly as a cotangent bundle over two-Fano toric varieties V^2. The corresponding CS gauge models are encoded in quivers similar to toric diagrams of V^2. Using toric geometry, it is shown that the constraints on CS levels can be related to toric equations determining V^2.

On Fractional Quantum Hall Solitons in ABJM-like Theory

Using D-brane physics, we study fractional quantum Hall solitons (FQHS) in ABJM-like theory in terms of type IIA dual geometries. In particular, we discuss a class of Chern-Simons (CS) quivers describing FQHS sytems at low energy. These CS quivers come from R-R gauge fields interacting with D6-branes wrapped on 4-cycles, which reside within a blown up CP^3 projective space. Based on the CS quiver method and mimicking the construction of del Pezzo surfaces in terms of CP^2, we first give a model which corresponds to a single layer model of FQHS system, then we propose a multi-layer system generalizing the doubled CS field theory, which is used in the study of topological defect in graphene.

The Yang Monopole in IIA Superstring: Multi-charge Disease and Enhancon Cure

A brane picture in Type IIA superstring for the Yang Monopole is reconsidered. It makes use of D2 and D4-branes wrapped on cycles in the K3 surface. When the model was first presented some problems concerning the charges of the monopoles arised. In this paper, they are shown to be cured by the model itself. Surprisingly, the incompatibility between the multi-charge configuration and the spherical symmetry of the Yang Monopole is seen in the brane description as the emergence of the enhancon shell and the fuzzy geometry. This consistency is deep and surprising, and is the point that triggered this work. It nontrivially relates a purely geometrical problem in ordinary spacetime with the emergence of noncommutative geometries. Besides, this paper includes an extended model for SO(4)-monopoles, a T-dual model in Type IIB superstring and an analysis on the possible duality between our model and another setup in M-Theory/Heterotics for the Yang monopole found before.

Engineering of Quantum Hall Effect from Type IIA String Theory on The K3 Surface

Using D-brane configurations on the K3 surface, we give six dimensional type IIA stringy realizations of the Quantum Hall Effect (QHE) in 1+2 dimensions. Based on the vertical and horizontal lines of the K3 Hodge diamond, we engineer two different stringy realizations. The vertical line presents a realization in terms of D2 and D6-branes wrapping the K3 surface. The horizontal one is associated with hierarchical stringy descriptions obtained from a quiver gauge theory living on a stack of D4-branes wrapping intersecting 2-spheres embedded in the K3 surface with deformed singularities. These geometries are classified by three kinds of the Kac-Moody algebras: ordinary, i.e finite dimensional, affine and indefinite. We find that no stringy QHE in 1+2 dimensions can occur in the quiver gauge theory living on intersecting 2-spheres arranged as affine Dynkin diagrams. Stringy realizations of QHE can be done only for the finite and indefinite geometries. In particular, the finite Lie algebras give models with fractional filling fractions, while the indefinite ones classify models with negative filling fractions which can be associated with the physics of holes in the graphene.

Superstrings, Phenomenology and F-theory

We give brief ideas on building gauge models in superstring theory, especially the four-dimensional models obtained from the compactification of F-theory. According to Vafa, we discuss the construction of F-theory to approach non-perturbative aspects of type IIB superstring. Then, we present local models of F-theory, which can generate new four-dimensional gauge models with applications to phenomenology.

Extremal Black Brane Attractors on The Elliptic Curve

Reconsidering the analysis of the moduli space of N=2 eight dimensional supergravity coupled to seven scalars, we propose a new scalar manifold factorization given by \frac{\textsc {SO(2,2)}}{\textsc{SO(2)}\times {\textsc{SO(2)}}}\times \frac{\textsc{SO(2,1)}}{\textsc{SO(2)}}\times \textsc {SO(1,1)}. This factorization is supported by the appearance of three solutions of Type IIA extremal black p-branes (p=0,1,2) with AdS_{p+2}\times S^{6-p} near-horizon geometries in eight dimensions. We analyze the corresponding attractor mechanism. In particular, we give an interplay between the scalar manifold factors and the extremal black p-brane charges. Then we show that the dilaton can be stabilized by the dyonic black 2-brane charges.

Holonomy Groups Coming From F-Theory Compactification

We study holonomy groups coming from F-theory compactifications. We focus mainly on SO(8) as 12-4=8 and subgroups SU(4), Spin(7), G2 and SU(3) suitable for descent from F-theory, M-theory and Superstring theories. We consider the relation of these groups with the octonions, which is striking and reinforces their role in higher dimensions and dualities. These holonomy groups are related in various mathematical forms, which we exhibit.

Magnetic and Electric Black Holes in Arbitrary Dimension

In this work, we compare two different objects: electric black holes and magnetic black holes in arbitrary dimension. The comparison is made in terms of the corresponding moduli space and their extremal geometries. We treat parallelly the magnetic and the electric cases. Specifically, we discuss the gravitational solution of these spherically symmetric objects in the presence of a positive cosmological constant. Then, we find the bounded region of the moduli space allowing the existence of black holes. After identifying it in both the electric and the magnetic case, we calculate the geometry that comes out between the horizons at the coalescence points. Although the electric and magnetic cases are both very different (only dual in four dimensions), gravity solutions seem to clear up most of the differences and lead to very similar geometries.

On F-theory Quiver Models and Kac-Moody Algebras

We discuss quiver gauge models with bi-fundamental and fundamental matter obtained from F-theory compactified on ALE spaces over a four dimensional base space. We focus on the base geometry which consists of intersecting F0=CP1xCP1 Hirzebruch complex surfaces arranged as Dynkin graphs classified by three kinds of Kac-Moody (KM) algebras: ordinary, i.e finite dimensional, affine and indefinite, in particular hyperbolic. We interpret the equations defining these three classes of generalized Lie algebras as the anomaly cancelation condition of the corresponding N =1 F-theory quivers in four dimensions. We analyze in some detail hyperbolic geometries obtained from the affine A base geometry by adding a node, and we find that it can be used to incorporate fundamental fields to a product of SU-type gauge groups and fields.

On Local F-theory Geometries and Intersecting D7-branes

We discuss local F-theory geometries and theirs gauge theory dualities in terms of intersecting D7-branes wrapped four-cycles in Type IIB superstring. The manifolds are built as elliptic K3 surface fibrations over intersecting F_0=CP^1 \times CP^1 base geometry according to ADE Dynkin Diagrams. The base is obtained by blowing up the extended ADE hyper-Kahler singularities of eight dimensional manifolds considered as sigma model target spaces with eight supercharges. The resulting gauge theory of such local F-theory models are given in terms of Type IIB D7-branes wrapped intersecting F_0. The four dimensional N=1 anomaly cancelation requirement translates into a condition on the associated affine Lie algebras.

On Geometric Transitions in String Compactifications

We reconsider the study of the geometric transitions and brane/flux dualities in various dimensions. We first give toric interpretations of the topology changing transitions in the Calabi-Yau conifold and the $Spin(7)$ manifold. The latter, for instance, can be viewed as three intersecting Calabi-Yau conifolds according to $\cp^2$ toric graph. Orbifolds of such geometries are given in terms of del Pezzo complex surfaces. Second we propose a four-dimensional F-theory interpretation of type IIB geometric transitions on the Calabi-Yau conifold. This gives a dual description of the M-theory flop in terms of toric mirror symmetry. In two dimensions, we study the geometric transition in a singular $Spin(7)$ manifold constructed as a cone on SU(3)/U(1). In particular, we discuss brane/flux duality in such a compactification in both type IIA and type IIB superstrings. These examples preserve one supercharge and so have ${\cal N}= 1/2$ supersymmetry in two dimensions. Then, an interpretation in terms of F-theory is given.
