Construction of Fuchsian Schottky group with conformal boundary at infinity

In this article, we have constructed an interesting type of generalized Schottky group, named as Fuchsian Schottky group of arbitrary finite rank, in the context of the classical Schottky group (i.e., Schottky curves which are Euclidean circles). After that, we initiated the construction of the generalized Fuchsian Schottky group of any finite rank by including orientation-reversing isometries of the hyperbolic plane as side-pairing transformations. Further, we have investigated the hyperbolic ends for any arbitrary finite rank Fuchsian Schottky groups from the point of view of the Euler characteristic in the hyperbolic surface. Finally, we have shown that the compact core of the conformally compact Riemann surface can be decomposed into non-tight pairs of pants by using suitable twist parameters with some fixed Bers' constant. The Fenchel-Nielsen coordinates for Teichmüller space corresponding to any finite rank Fuchsian Schottky groups are also obtained.

Curvature properties of Bardeen black hole spacetime

The Bardeen solution corresponding to Einstein field equations with a cosmological constant is a regular black hole. The main goal of this manuscript is to investigate the geometric structures in terms of curvature conditions admitted by this spacetime. It is found that this spacetime is pseudosymmetric and possess several kinds of pseudosymmetries. Also, it is a manifold of pseudosymmetry Weyl curvature and the difference tensor C.R-R.C linearly depends on the tensors Q(g;C) and Q(S;C). It is interesting to note that such a spacetime is weakly generalized recurrent manifold and satisfies special recurrent like structure. Further, it is an Einstein manifold of level 2 and Roter type. The energy momentum tensor of this spacetime is pseudosymmetric and finally a worthy comparison between the geometric properties of Bardeen spacetime and Reissner-Nordström spacetime is given.

Diameter estimation of $(m,ρ)$-quasi Einstein manifolds

This paper aims to study the $(m,ρ)$-quasi Einstein manifold. This article shows that a complete and connected Riemannian manifold under certain conditions becomes compact. Also, we have determined an upper bound of the diameter for such a manifold. It is also exhibited that the potential function acquiesces to the Hodge-de Rham potential up to a real constant in an $(m,ρ)$-quasi Einstein manifold. Later, some triviality and integral conditions are established for a non-compact complete $(m,ρ)$-quasi Einstein manifold having finite volume. Finally, it is proved that with some certain constraints, a complete Riemannian manifold admits finite fundamental group. Furthermore, some conditions for compactness criteria have also been deduced.

Some Characterizations of Quasi Yamabe solitons

In this article, we have proved some results in connection with the potential vector field having finite global norm in quasi Yamabe soliton. We have derived some criteria in particular for the potential vector field on the non-positive Ricci curvature of the quasi Yamabe soliton. Also, a necessary condition for a compact quasi Yamabe soliton has been formulated. We further showed that if the potential vector field has a finite global norm in a complete non-trivial, non-compact quasi Yamabe soliton with finite volume, then the scalar curvature becomes constant and the soliton reduces to a Yamabe soliton.

Splitting theorem of Gradient $ρ$-Einstein solitons

In this paper, we have proved a weighted Laplacian comparison of distance function for manifolds with Bakry-Émery curvature bounded from below. Next, we have shown that a gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton with a bounded integral condition on Ricci curvature splits off a line isometrically. Moreover, using this result, we have established some boundedness conditions on scalar curvature of gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton.

$m$-quasi Einstein manifolds with convex potential

The main objective of this paper is to investigate the $m$-quasi Einstein manifold when the potential function becomes convex. In this article, it is proved that an $m$-quasi Einstein manifold satisfying some integral conditions with vanishing Ricci curvature along the direction of potential vector field has constant scalar curvature and hence the manifold turns out to be an Einstein manifold. It is also shown that in an $m$-quasi Einstein manifold the potential function agrees with Hodge-de Rham potential up to a constant. Finally, it is proved that if a complete non-compact and non-expanding $m$-quasi Einstein manifold has bounded scalar curvature and the potential vector field has global finite norm, then the scalar curvature vanishes.

Diameter estimation of gradient $ρ$-Einstein solitons

Our aim in this article is to give a lower bound of the diameter of a compact gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton satisfying some given conditions. We have also deduced some conditions of the gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton with bounded Ricci curvature to become non-shrinking and non-expanding. Further, we have proved that a complete non-compact gradient shrinking or expanding Schouten soliton with non-constant potential and a boundedness condition on scalar curvature must be non-parabolic.

Existence of finite global norm of potential vector field in a Ricci soliton

In this article, we investigate global norm of potential vector field in Ricci soliton. In particular, we have deduced certain conditions so that the potential vector field has finite global norm in expanding Ricci soliton. We have also showed that if the potential vector field has finite global norm in complete non-compact Ricci soliton having finite volume, then the scalar curvature becomes constant.

Compact gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton is isometric to the Euclidean sphere

In this paper we have investigated some aspects of gradient $ρ$-Einstein Ricci soliton in a complete Riemannian manifold. First, we have proved that the compact gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton is isometric to the Euclidean sphere by showing that the scalar curvature becomes constant. Second, we have showed that in a non-compact gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton satisfying some integral condition, the scalar curvature vanishes.

Extension property of continuous functions in a Riemannain manifold with a pole

The Brouwer fixed point theorem says that any continuous function from disc to itself has a fixed point. By using simple geometrical technique we have generalized the result in manifold and proved that any continuous function on the boundary of a bounded convex domain of a $2$-dimensional Riemannian manifold with a pole having at least one fixed point can be extended to the convex domain without any interior fixed point.

Isometry theorem of Cartan-Hadamard manifold

Cartan-Hadamard manifold is a simply connected Riemannian manifold with non-positive sectional curvature. In this article, we have proved that a Cartan-Hadamard manifold satisfying steady gradient Ricci soliton with the integral condition of potential function is isometric to the Euclidean space. Next we have proved a compactness theorem for gradient shrinking Ricci soliton satisfying some scalar curvature condition. Finally, we have showed that a gradient expanding Ricci soliton with linear volume growth and positive potential function is an Einstein manifold.

Isometry theorem of gradient Shrinking Ricci solitons

In this paper, we have proved that if a complete conformally flat gradient shrinking Ricci soliton has linear volume growth or the scalar curvature is finitely integrable and also the reciprocal of the potential function is subharmonic, then the manifold is isometric to the Euclidean sphere. As a consequence, we have showed that a four dimensional gradient shrinking Ricci soliton satisfying some conditions is isometric to $\mathbb{S}^4$ or $\mathbb{RP}^4$ or $\mathbb{CP}^2$. We have also deduced a condition for the shrinking Ricci soliton to be compact with quadratic volume growth.

On Ricci solitons whose potential is convex

In this paper we consider the Ricci curvature of a Ricci soliton. In particular, we have showed that a complete gradient Ricci soliton with non-negative Ricci curvature possessing a non-constant convex potential function having finite weighted Dirichlet integral satisfying an integral condition is Ricci flat and also it isometrically splits a line. We have also proved that a gradient Ricci soliton with non-constant concave potential function and bounded Ricci curvature is non-shrinking and hence the scalar curvature has at most one critical point.

On the freeness and projectiveness of Breuil-Kisin module

In the work we have considered Breuil-Kisin module over the ring of witt vectors $W(κ)$ over the residue field $κ$ of characteristic $p$ and a finite flat $\mathbb{Z}_p$-algebra $R$. Then considered Breuil-Kisin modules $M$ over the ring $W(κ)$ and taking the action of $R$ on $W(κ)$, we get again a Breuil-Kisin module $M$ over the ring $R \otimes_{\mathbb{Z}_p} W(κ)$. We have studied freeness and projectiveness of this module.

Curvature properties of Melvin magnetic metric

This paper aims to investigate the curvature restricted geometric properties admitted by Melvin magnetic spacetime metric, a warped product metric with $1$-dimensional fibre. For this, we have considered a Melvin type static, cylindrically symmetric spacetime metric in Weyl form and it is found that such metric, in general, is generalized Roter type, $Ein(3)$ and has pseudosymmetric Weyl conformal tensor satisfying the pseudosymmetric type condition $R\cdot R-Q(S,R)=\mathcal L' Q(g,C)$. The condition for which it satisfies the Roter type condition has been obtained. It is interesting to note that Melvin magnetic metric is pseudosymmetric and pseudosymmetric due to conformal tensor. Moreover such metric is $2$-quasi-Einstien, its Ricci tensor is Reimann compatible and Weyl conformal $2$-forms are recurrent. The Maxwell tensor is also pseudosymmetric type.

On Curvature properties of Nariai Spacetimes

The charged Nariai spacetimes are the exact solutions of Einstein-Maxwell field equations with positive cosmological constant and such a spacetime is the direct topological product of a $2$-dimentional de-Sitter spacetime with a round $2$-sphere of constant radius. The present paper deals with the investigation of curvature restricted geometric structures admitted by the charged Nariai spacetime metric and it is shown that such a spacetime is locally symmetric, $2$-quasi-Einstein and $Ein(2)$-space. Moreover it realizes the pseudosymmetric type conditions such as Ricci generalized projectively pseudosymmetric and pseudosymmetric due to Weyl conformal curvature tensor. It is interesting to note that the energy momentum tensor can be expressed explicitly with the help of some $1$-forms. We also evaluate the curvature properties of charged Nariai type topological product metric, and it is found that such metric is semisymmetric but not locally symmetric and under certain restrictions belongs to the family of generalized class of recurrent manifolds. Finally we end up our findings with some concluding remarks.

On some curvature restricted geometric structures for projective curvature tensor

The projective curvature tensor $P$ is invariant under a geodesic preserving transformation on a semi-Riemannian manifold. It is well known that $P$ is not a generalized curvature tensor and hence it possesses different geometric properties than other generalized curvature tensors. The main object of the present paper is to study some semisymmetric type and pseudosymmetric type curvature restricted geometric structures due to projective curvature tensor. The reduced pseudosymmetric type structures for various Walker type conditions are deduced and the existence of Venzi space is ensured. It is shown that the geometric structures formed by imposing projective operator on a (0,4)-tensor is different from that for the corresponding (1,3)-tensor. Characterization of various semisymmetric type and pseudosymmetric type curvature restricted geometric structures due to projective curvature tensor is obtained on a Riemannian and a semi-Riemannian manifold, and it is shown that some of them reduce to Einstein manifold for the Riemann case. Finally to support our theorems four suitable examples are presented.

On the existence of a generalized class of recurrent manifolds

The present paper deals with the proper existence of a generalized class of recurrent manifolds, namely, hyper-generalized recurrent manifolds. We have established the proper existence of various generalized notions of recurrent manifolds. For this purpose we have presented a metric and computed its curvature properties and finally we have obtained the existence of a new class of semi-Riemannian manifolds which are non-recurrent but hyper-generalized recurrent, Ricci recurrent, conharmonically recurrent, manifold of recurrent curvature 2-forms and semisymmetric; not weakly symmetric but weakly Ricci symmetric, conformally weakly symmetric and conharmonically weakly symmetric; non-Einstein but Ricci simple; do not satisfy $P\cdot P =0$ but fulfills the condition $P \cdot P = -\frac{1}{3}Q(S, P)$, $P$ being the projective curvature tensor.

On warped product manifolds satisfying some pseudosymmetric type conditions

The object of the present paper is to study the characterization of warped product manifolds satisfying some pseudosymmetric type conditions, especially, due to projective curvature tensor. For this purpose we consider a warped product manifold satisfying the pseudosymmetric type condition $R\cdot R = L_1 Q(g,R) + L_2 Q(S,R)$ and evaluate its characterization theorem. As special cases of $L_1$ and $L_2$ we find out the necessary and sufficient condition for a warped product manifold to satisfy various pseudosymmetric type, such as pseudosymmetry, Ricci generalized pseudosymmetry, semisymmetry due to projective curvature tensor ($P\cdot R = 0$), pseudosymmetry due to projective curvature tensor ($P\cdot R = L Q(g,R)$) etc. Finally we present some suitable examples of warped product manifolds satisfying such pseudosymmetric type conditions.

On curvature properties of Som-Raychaudhuri spacetime

Som-Raychaudhuri spacetime is a stationary cylindrical symmetric solution of Einstein field equation corresponding to a charged dust distribution in rigid rotation. The main object of the present paper is to investigate the curvature restricted geometric structures admitting by the Som-Raychaudhuri spacetime and it is shown that such a spacetime is a 2-quasi-Einstein, generalized Roter type, $Ein(3)$ manifold satisfying $R.R = Q(S,R)$, $C\cdot C = \frac{2a^2}{3} Q(g,C)$, and its Ricci tensor is cyclic parallel and Riemann compatible. Finally, we make a comparison between Gödel spacetime and Som-Raychaudhuri spacetime.

On pseudosymmetric manifolds

In the literature, there are two different notions of pseudosymmetric manifolds, one by Chaki [7] and other by Deszcz [16], and there are many papers related to these notions. The object of the present paper is to deduce necessary and sufficient conditions for a Chaki pseudosymmetric [7] (resp. pseudo Ricci symmetric [8]) manifold to be Deszcz pseudosymmetric (resp. Ricci pseudosymmetric). We also study the necessary and sufficient conditions for a weakly symmetric [58] (resp. weakly Ricci symmetric [59]) manifold by Tamássy and Binh to be Deszcz pseudosymmetric (resp. Ricci pseudosymmetric). We also obtain the reduced form of the defining condition of weakly Ricci symmetric manifolds by Tamássy and Binh [59]. Finally we give some examples to show the independent existence of such types of pseudosymmetry which also ensure the existence of Roter type and generalized Roter type manifolds and the manifolds with recurrent curvature 2-form ([2], [29]) associated to various curvature tensors.

On super generalized recurrent manifolds

To generalize the notion of recurrent manifold, there are various recurrent like conditions in the literature. In this paper we present a recurrent like structure, namely, \textit{super generalized recurrent manifold}, which generalizes both the hyper generalized recurrent manifold and weakly generalized recurrent manifold. The main object of the present paper is to study the geometric properties of super generalized recurrent manifold. Finally to ensure the existence of such structure we present a proper example by a suitable metric.

On Warped Product Super Generalized Recurrent Manifolds

The object of the present paper is to obtain the characterization of a warped product semi-Riemannian manifold with a special type of recurrent like structure, called super generalized recurrent. As consequence of this result we also find out the necessary and sufficient conditions for a warped product manifold to satisfy some other recurrent like structures such as weakly generalized recurrent manifold, hyper generalized recurrent manifold etc. Finally as a support of the main result, we present an example of warped product super generalized recurrent manifold.

On generalized Roter type manifolds

The main object of the present paper is to study the geometric properties of a generalized Roter type semi-Riemannian manifold, which arose in the way of generalization to find the form of the Riemann-Christoffel curvature tensor $R$. Again for a particular curvature restriction on $R$ and the Ricci tensor $S$ there arise two structures, e. g., local symmetry ($\nabla R = 0$) and Ricci symmetry ($\nabla S = 0$); semisymmetry($R\cdot R =0$) and Ricci semisymmetry ($R\cdot S =0$) etc. In differential geometry there is a very natural question about the equivalency of these two structures. In this context it is shown that generalized Roter type condition is a sufficient condition for various important second order restrictions. Some generalizations of Einstein manifolds are also presented here. Finally the proper existence of both type of manifolds are ensured by some suitable examples.

On warped product generalized Roter type manifold

Generalized Roter type manifold is a generalization of conformally flat manifold as well as Roter type manifold, which gives rise the form of the curvature tensor in terms of algebraic combinations of the fundamental metric tensor and Ricci tensors upto level 2. The object of the present paper is to investigate the characterizations of a warped product manifold to be generalized Roter-type. We also present an example of a warped product manifold which is generalized Roter type but not Roter type, and also an example of a warped product manifold which is Roter type but not conformally flat. These examples ensure the proper existence of such notions.

On equivalency of various geometric structures

In the literature we see that after introducing a geometric structure by imposing some restrictions on Riemann-Christoffel curvature tensor, the same type structure given by imposing same restriction on other curvature tensors being studied. The main object of the present paper is to study the equivalency of various geometric structures obtained by same restriction imposing on different curvature tensors. In this purpose we present a tensor by combining Riemann-Christoffel curvature tensor, Ricci tensor, the metric tensor and scalar curvature which describe various curvature tensors as its particular cases.
