Dynamical sl2{\frak{sl}}_2 Bethe algebra and functions on pairs of quasi-polynomials

We consider the space Funsl2V[0]\text{Fun}_{\frak{sl}_2}V[0] of functions on the Cartan subalgebra of sl2\frak{sl}_2 with values in the zero weight subspace V[0]V[0] of a tensor product of irreducible finite-dimensional sl2\frak{sl}_2-modules. We consider the algebra B\mathcal B of commuting differential operators on Funsl2 V[0]\text{Fun}_{\frak{sl}_2}\,V[0], constructed by V.Rubtsov, A.Silantyev, D.Talalaev in 2009. We describe the relations between the action of B\mathcal B on Funsl2V[0]\text{Fun}_{\frak{sl}_2}V[0] and spaces of pairs of quasi-polynomials.

Dynamical Gelfand-Zetlin algebra and equivariant cohomology of Grassmannians

We consider the rational dynamical quantum group Ey(gl2)E_y(gl_2) and introduce an Ey(gl2)E_y(gl_2)-module structure on $\oplus_{k=0}^n H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))'$, where $H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))'$ is the equivariant cohomology algebra $H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))$ of the cotangent bundle of the Grassmannian $\Gr(k,n)$ with coefficients extended by a suitable ring of rational functions in an additional variable λλ. We consider the dynamical Gelfand-Zetlin algebra which is a commutative algebra of difference operators in λλ. We show that the action of the Gelfand-Zetlin algebra on $H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))'$ is the natural action of the algebra $H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))\otimes \C[δ^{\pm1}]$ on $H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))'$, where δ:ζ(λ)→ζ(λ+y)δ: ζ(λ)\toζ(λ+y) is the shift operator. The Ey(gl2)E_y(gl_2)-module structure on $\oplus_{k=0}^n H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))'$ is introduced with the help of dynamical stable envelope maps which are dynamical analogs of the stable envelope maps introduced by Maulik and Okounkov. The dynamical stable envelope maps are defined in terms of the rational dynamical weight functions introduced in [FTV] to construct q-hypergeometric solutions of rational qKZB equations. The cohomology classes in $H^*_{GL_n\times\C^\times}(T^*Gr(k,n))'$ induced by the weight functions are dynamical variants of Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson classes of Schubert cells.

On the Gaudin model associated to Lie algebras of classical types

We derive explicit formulas for solutions of the Bethe Ansatz equations of the Gaudin model associated to the tensor product of one arbitrary finite-dimensional irreducible module and one vector representation for all simple Lie algebras of classical type. We use this result to show that the Bethe Ansatz is complete in any tensor product where all but one factor are vector representations and the evaluation parameters are generic. We also show that except for the type D, the joint spectrum of Gaudin Hamiltonians in such tensor products is simple.

Equivariant Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson classes in partial flag varieties: interpolation and formulae

Consider the natural torus action on a partial flag manifold FlFl. Let ΩI⊂FlΩ_I\subset Fl be an open Schubert variety, and let csm(ΩI)∈HT∗(Fl)c^{sm}(Ω_I)\in H_T^*(Fl) be its torus equivariant Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson class. We show a set of interpolation properties that uniquely determine csm(ΩI)c^{sm}(Ω_I), as well as a formula, of `localization type', for csm(ΩI)c^{sm}(Ω_I). In fact, we proved similar results for a class κI∈HT∗(Fl)κ_I\in H_T^*(Fl) --- in the context of quantum group actions on the equivariant cohomology groups of partial flag varieties. In this note we show that cSM(ΩI)=κIc^{SM}(Ω_I)=κ_I.

Trigonometric weight functions as K-theoretic stable envelope maps for the cotangent bundle of a flag variety

We consider the cotangent bundle T∗FλT^*F_λ of a GLnGL_n partial flag variety, λ=(λ1,...,λN)λ=(λ_1,...,λ_N), ∣λ∣=∑iλi=n|λ|=\sum_iλ_i=n, and the torus $T=(\C^\times)^{n+1}$ equivariant K-theory algebra KT(T∗Fλ)K_T(T^*F_λ). We introduce K-theoretic stable envelope maps $\Stab_σ: \oplus_{|λ|=n} K_T((T^*F_λ)^T)\to\oplus_{|λ|=n}K_T(T^*F_λ)$, where σ∈Snσ\in S_n. Using these maps we define a quantum loop algebra action on ⊕∣λ∣=nKT(T∗Fλ)\oplus_{|λ|=n}K_T(T^*F_λ). We describe the associated Bethe algebra Bq(KT(T∗Fλ))B^q(K_T(T^*F_λ)) by generators and relations in terms of a discrete Wronski map. We prove that the limiting Bethe algebra Bq(KT(T∗Fλ))B^q(K_T(T^*F_λ)), called the Gelfand-Zetlin algebra, coincides with the algebra of multiplication operators of the algebra KT(T∗Fλ)K_T(T^*F_λ). We conjecture that the Bethe algebra Bq(KT(T∗Fλ))B^q(K_T(T^*F_λ)) coincides with the algebra of quantum multiplication on KT(T∗Fλ)K_T(T^*F_λ) introduced by Givental and Lee. The stable envelope maps are defined with the help of Newton polygons of Laurent polynomials representing elements of KT(T∗Fλ)K_T(T^*F_λ) and with the help of the trigonometric weight functions introduced in [TV1, TV3] to construct q-hypergeometric solutions of trigonometric qKZ equations. The paper has five appendices. In particular, in Appendix 5 we describe the Bethe algebra of the XXZ model by generators and relations.

Cohomology classes of conormal bundles of Schubert varieties and Yangian weight functions

We consider the conormal bundle of a Schubert variety SIS_I in the cotangent bundle T∗GrT^* Gr of the Grassmannian GrGr of kk-planes in CnC^n. This conormal bundle has a fundamental class κI{κ_I} in the equivariant cohomology HT∗(T∗Gr)H^*_{T}(T^* Gr). Here T=(C∗)n×C∗T=(C^*)^n\times C^*. The torus (C∗)n(C^*)^n acts on T∗GrT^* Gr in the standard way and the last factor C∗C^* acts by multiplication on fibers of the bundle. We express this fundamental class as a sum YIY_I of the Yangian Y(gl2)Y(gl_2) weight functions (WJ)J(W_J)_J. We describe a relation of YIY_I with the double Schur polynomial [SI][S_I]. A modified version of the κIκ_I classes, named κI′κ'_I, satisfy an orthogonality relation with respect to an inner product induced by integration on the non-compact manifold T∗GrT^* Gr. This orthogonality is analogous to the well known orthogonality satisfied by the classes of Schubert varieties with respect to integration on GrGr. The classes (κI′)I(κ'_I)_I form a basis in the suitably localized equivariant cohomology HT∗(T∗Gr)H^*_{T}(T^* Gr). This basis depends on the choice of the coordinate flag in CnC^n. We show that the bases corresponding to different coordinate flags are related by the Yangian R-matrix.

Partial flag varieties, stable envelopes and weight functions

We consider the cotangent bundle T^*F_λof a GL_n partial flag variety, λ= (λ_1,...,λ_N), |λ|=\sum_iλ_i=n, and the torus T=(C^*)^{n+1} equivariant cohomology H^*_T(T^*F_λ). In [MO], a Yangian module structure was introduced on \oplus_{|λ|=n} H^*_T(T^*F_λ). We identify this Yangian module structure with the Yangian module structure introduced in [GRTV]. This identifies the operators of quantum multiplication by divisors on H^*_T(T^*F_λ), described in [MO], with the action of the dynamical Hamiltonians from [TV2, MTV1, GRTV]. To construct these identifications we provide a formula for the stable envelope maps, associated with the partial flag varieties and introduced in [MO]. The formula is in terms of the Yangian weight functions introduced in [TV1], c.f. [TV3, TV4], in order to construct q-hypergeometric solutions of qKZ equations.

Quantum cohomology of the cotangent bundle of a flag variety as a Yangian Bethe algebra

We interpret the equivariant cohomology algebra H^*_{GL_n\times\C^*}(T^*F_λ;\C) of the cotangent bundle of a partial flag variety F_λparametrizing chains of subspaces 0=F_0\subset F_1\subset\dots\subset F_N =\C^n, \dim F_i/F_{i-1}=λ_i, as the Yangian Bethe algebra of the gl_N-weight subspace of a gl_N Yangian module. Under this identification the dynamical connection of [TV1] turns into the quantum connection of [BMO] and [MO]. As a result of this identification we describe the algebra of quantum multiplication on H^*_{GL_n\times\C^*}(T^*F_λ;\C) as the algebra of functions on fibers of a discrete Wronski map. In particular this gives generators and relations of that algebra. This identification also gives us hypergeometric solutions of the associated quantum differential equation. That fact manifests the Landau-Ginzburg mirror symmetry for the cotangent bundle of the flag variety.

Spaces of quasi-exponentials and representations of the Yangian Y(gl_N)

We consider a tensor product $V(b)= \otimes_{i=1}^n\C^N(b_i)$ of the Yangian Y(glN)Y(gl_N) evaluation vector representations. We consider the action of the commutative Bethe subalgebra Bq⊂Y(glN)B^q \subset Y(gl_N) on a glNgl_N-weight subspace V(b)λ⊂V(b)V(b)_λ\subset V(b) of weight λλ. Here the Bethe algebra depends on the parameters q=(q1,...,qN)q=(q_1,...,q_N). We identify the BqB^q-module V(b)λV(b)_λ with the regular representation of the algebra of functions on a fiber of a suitable discrete Wronski map. If q=(1,...,1)q=(1,...,1), we study the action of Bq=1B^{q=1} on a space V(b)λsingV(b)^{sing}_λ of singular vectors of a certain weight. Again, we identify the Bq=1B^{q=1}-module V(b)λsingV(b)^{sing}_λ with the regular representation of the algebra of functions on a fiber of another suitable discrete Wronski map. These results we announced earlier in relation with a description of the quantum equivariant cohomology of the cotangent bundle of a partial flag variety and a description of commutative subalgebras of the group algebra of a symmetric group.

Bethe Algebra of Homogeneous XXX Heisenberg Model Has Simple Spectrum

We show that the algebra of commuting Hamiltonians of the homogeneous XXX Heisenberg model has simple spectrum on the subspace of singular vectors of the tensor product of two-dimensional gl2gl_2-modules. As a byproduct we show that there exist exactly (nl)−(nl−1)\binom {n}{l}-\binom{n}{l-1} two-dimensional vector subspaces $V \subset \C[u]$ with a basis f,g∈Vf,g\in V such that °f=l,°g=n−l+1°f = l, °g = n-l+1 and f(u)g(u−1)−f(u−1)g(u)=(u+1)nf(u)g(u-1) - f(u-1)g(u) = (u+1)^n.

Extended Joseph polynomials, quantized conformal blocks, and a q-Selberg type integral

We consider the tensor power V=(CN)⊗nV=(C^N)^{\otimes n} of the vector representation of glNgl_N and its weight decomposition V=⊕λ=(λ1,...,λN)V[λ]V=\oplus_{λ=(λ_1,...,λ_N)}V[λ]. For λ=(λ1≥...≥λN)λ= (λ_1 \geq ... \geq λ_N), the trivial bundle $V[λ]\times \C^n\to\C^n$ has a subbundle of q-conformal blocks at level l, where l=λ1−λNl = λ_1-λ_N if λ1−λN>0λ_1-λ_N> 0 and l=1 if λ1−λN=0λ_1-λ_N=0. We construct a polynomial section Iλ(z1,...,zn,h)I_λ(z_1,...,z_n,h) of the subbundle. The section is the main object of the paper. We identify the section with the generating function Jλ(z1,...,zn,h)J_λ(z_1,...,z_n,h) of the extended Joseph polynomials of orbital varieties, defined in [DFZJ05,KZJ09]. For l=1, we show that the subbundle of q-conformal blocks has rank 1 and Iλ(z1,...,zn,h)I_λ(z_1,...,z_n,h) is flat with respect to the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov discrete connection. For N=2 and l=1, we represent our polynomial as a multidimensional q-hypergeometric integral and obtain a q-Selberg type identity, which says that the integral is an explicit polynomial.

Conformal blocks and equivariant cohomology

We show that the conformal blocks constructed in the previous article by the first and the third author may be described as certain integrals in equivariant cohomology. When the bundles of conformal blocks have rank one, this construction may be compared with the old integral formulas of the second and the third author. The proportionality coefficients are some Selberg type integrals which are computed. Finally, a geometric construction of the tensor products of vector representations of the Lie algebra gl(m)\frak{gl}(m) is proposed.

Norms of eigenfunctions to trigonometric KZB operators

Let gg be a simple Lie algebra and V[0]=V1⊗...⊗Vn[0]V[0]=V_1\otimes...\otimes V_n[0] the zero weight subspace of a tensor product of gg-modules. The trigonometric KZB operators are commuting differential operators acting on V[0]V[0]-valued functions on the Cartan subalgebra of gg. Meromorphic eigenfunctions to the operators are constructed by the Bethe ansatz. We introduce a scalar product on a suitable space of functions such that the operators become symmetric, and the square of the norm of a Bethe eigenfunction equals the Hessian of the master function at the corresponding critical point.

Reality property of discrete Wronski map with imaginary step

For a set of quasi-exponentials with real exponents, we consider the discrete Wronskian (also known as Casorati determinant) with pure imaginary step 2h. We prove that if the coefficients of the discrete Wronskian are real and for every its roots the imaginary part is at most |h|, then the complex span of this set of quasi-exponentials has a basis consisting of quasi-exponentials with real coefficients. This result is a generalization of the statement of the B. and M. Shapiro conjecture on spaces of polynomials. The proof is based on the Bethe ansatz for the XXX model.
