Precision analysis of electron energy spectrum and angular distribution of neutron beta decay with polarized neutron and electron

We give a precision analysis of the correlation coefficients of the electron-energy spectrum and angular distribution of the beta decay and radiative beta decay of the neutron with polarized neutron and electron to order 10^(-3). The calculation of correlation coefficients is carried out within the Standard model with contributions of order 10^(-3), caused by the weak magnetism and proton recoil, taken to next-to-leading order in the large proton mass expansion, and with radiative corrections of order "alpha/pi ~ 10^(-3", calculated to leading order in the large proton mass expansion. The obtained results can be used for the planning of experiments on the search for contributions of order 10^(-4) of interactions beyond the Standard model.

Test of the Standard Model in Neutron Beta Decay with Polarized Electron and Unpolarized Neutron and Proton

We calculate the correlation coefficients of the electron-energy and electron-antineutrino angular distribution of the neutron beta decay with polarized electron and unpolarised neutron and proton. The calculation is carried out within the Standard Model (SM) with the contributions, caused by the weak magnetism, proton recoil and radiative corrections of order of 10^{-3}, Wilkinson's corrections of order 10^{-5}$(Wilkinson, Nucl. Phys. A377, 474 (1982) and Ivanov et al., Phys. Rev. C95, 055502 (2017)) and the contributions of interactions beyond the SM. The obtained results can be used for the analysis of experimental data on searches of interactions beyond the SM at the level of 10^{-4} (Abele, Hyperfine Interact. 237, 155 (2016)). The contributions of G-odd correlations are calculated and found at the level of 10^{-5} in agreement with the results obtained by Gardner and Plaster (Phys. Rev. C87, 065504 (2013)) and Ivanov et al. (Phys. Rev. C98, 035503 (2018)).

The Bound-State Beta Decay of the Neutron Revisited

This paper is addressed to the analysis of the set of observables of the bound-state beta-decay, which can be used for the experimental investigation of contributions of i) interactions beyond the Standard Model (SM) and of ii) the left-handed polarisation state of antineutrinos. For this aim we calculate the branching ratio, probabilities and angular distributions of probabilities of hydrogen in the hyperfine states and of the proton-electron pair in different spinorial states, induced by left-handed and right-handed hadronic and leptonic currents. The branching ratio of the bound-state beta-decay is calculated by taking into account radiative corrections. We show that the probabilities of the bound-state beta-decay can be good observables for experimental investigations of contributions of interactions beyond the SM, whereas the angular distributions of probabilities are good observables for experimental searches of contributions of the left-handed polarisation state of antineutrinos.

Precision analysis of pseudoscalar interactions in neutron beta decays

We analyze the contributions of the one-pion-pole (OPP) exchange, caused by strong low-energy interactions, and the pseudoscalar interaction beyond the Standard Model (BSM) to the correlation coefficients of the neutron beta-decays for polarized neutrons, polarized electrons and unpolarized protons. The strength of contributions of pseudoscalar interactions is defined by the effective coupling constant C_ps = C^(OPP)_ps + C^(BSM)_ps. We show that the contribution of the OPP exchange is of order C^(OPP)_ps ~ - 10^(-5). The effective coupling constant C^(BSM)_ps of the pseudoscalar interaction BSM can be in principle complex. Using the results, obtained by Gonzalez-Alonso et al.( Prog. Part. Nucl. Phys. 104, 165 (2019)) we find that the values of the real and imaginary parts of the effective coupling constant C^(BSM)_ps are constrained by - 3.5x10^{-5} < ReC^(BSM)_ps < 0 and ImC^(BSM)_ps < - 2.3x10^(-5), respectively. The obtained results can be used as a theoretical background for experimental searches of contributions of interactions BSM in asymmetries of the neutron beta-decays with a polarized neutron, a polarized electron and an unpolarized proton at the level of accuracy of a few parts of $10^{-5}$ or even better (Abele, Hyperfine Interact.237, 155 (2016)).

Einstein-Cartan Gravity with Torsion Field Serving as Origin for Cosmological Constant or Dark Energy Density

We analyse the Einstein-Cartan gravity in its standard form cal-R = R + cal-K^2, where cal-R and R are the Ricci scalar curvatures in the Einstein-Cartan and Einstein gravity, respectively, and cal-K^2 is the quadratic contribution of torsion in terms of the contorsion tensor cal-K. We treat torsion as an external (or a background) field and show that the contribution of torsion to the Einstein equations can be interpreted in terms of the torsion energy-momentum tensor, local conservation of which in a curved spacetime with an arbitrary metric or an arbitrary gravitational field demands a proportionality of the torsion energy--momentum tensor to a metric tensor, a covariant derivative of which vanishes because of the metricity condition. This allows to claim that torsion can serve as origin for vacuum energy density, given by cosmological constant or dark energy density in the Universe. This is a model-independent result may explain a small value of cosmological constant, which is a long--standing problem of cosmology. We show that the obtained result is valid also in the Poincare' gauge gravitational theory by Kibble (T. W. B. Kibble, J. Math. Phys. 2, 212 (1961)), where the Einstein-Hilbert action can be represented in the same form cal-R = R + cal-K^2.

Exact Solution for Chameleon Field, Self-Coupled Through the Ratra-Peebles Potential with n = 1 and Confined Between Two Parallel Plates

We calculate the chameleon field profile, confined between two parallel plates, filled with air at pressure $P = 10^{-4}\,{\rm mbar}$ and room temperature and separated by the distance $L$, in the chameleon field theory with Ratra--Peebles self--interaction potential with index $n = 1$. We give the exact analytical solution in terms of Jacobian elliptic functions, depending on the mass density of the ambient matter. The obtained analytical solution can be used in qBounce experiments, measuring transition frequencies between quantum gravitational states of ultracold neutrons and also for the calculation of the chameleon field induced Casimir force for the CANNEX experiment. We show that the chameleon--matter interactions with coupling constants $β\le 10^4$ can be probed by qBounce experiments with sensitivities $ΔE \le 10^{-18}\,{\rm eV}$. At $L = 30.1\,{\rm μm}$ we reproduce the result $β< 5.8\times 10^8$, obtained by Jenke {\it et al.} Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 112}, 151105 (2014)) at sensitivity $ΔE \sim 10^{-14}\,{\rm eV}$. In the vicinity of one of the plates our solution coincides with the solution, obtained by Brax and Pignol (Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 107}, 111301 (2011)) (see also Ivanov {\it et al.} Phys. Rev. D {\bf 87}, 105013 (2013)) above a plate at zero density of the ambient matter.

Parity-Even and Time-Reversal-Odd Neutron Optical Potential in Spinning Matter Induced by Gravitational Torsion

Recent theoretical work has shown that spin $1/2$ particles moving through unpolarized matter which sources torsion fields experience a new type of parity-even and time-reversal-odd optical potential if the matter is spinning in the lab frame. This new type of optical potential can be sought experimentally using the helicity dependence of the total cross sections for longitudinally polarized neutrons moving through a rotating cylindrical target. In combination with recent experimental constraints on short-range P--odd, T--even torsion interactions derived from polarized neutron spin rotation in matter one can derive separate constraints on the time components of scalar and pseudoscalar torsion fields in matter. We estimate the sensitivity achievable in such an experiment and briefly outline some of the potential sources of systematic error to be considered in any future experimental search for this effect.

Spin Precession of Slow Neutrons in Einstein-Cartan Gravity with Torsion, Chameleon and Magnetic Field

We analyse a spin precession of slow neutrons in the Einstein-Cartan gravity with torsion, chameleon and magnetic field. For the derivation of the Heisenberg equation of motion of the neutron spin we use the effective low-energy potential, derived by Ivanov and Wellenzohn (Phys. Rev. D92, 125004 (2015)) for slow neutrons, coupled to gravitational, chameleon and torsion fields to order 1/m, where m is the neutron mass. In addition to this low-energy interactions we switch on the interaction of slow neutrons with a magnetic field. We show that to linear order approximation with respect to gravitational, chameleon and torsion fields the Dirac Hamilton operator for fermions (neutrons), moving in spacetimes created by rotating coordinate systems, contains the anti-Hermitian operators of torsion-fermion (neutron) interactions, caused by torsion scalar and tensor degrees of freedom. Such anti-Hermitian operators violate CP and T invariance. One may assume that in the rotating Universe and galaxies the obtained anti-Hermitian torsion-fermion interactions might be an origin of i) violation of CP and T invariance in the Universe and ii) of baryon asymmetry.

Effective Low-Energy Gravitational Potential for Slow Fermions Coupled to Linearised Massive Gravity

We analyse the Dirac equation for slow fermions coupled to linearised massive gravity above the Minkowski background and derive the effective low-energy gravitational potential. The obtained results can be used in terrestrial laboratories for the detection of gravitational waves and fluxes of massive gravitons emitted by cosmological objects. We also calculate the neutron spin precession within linearised massive gravity, which in principle can be measured by neutron interferometers.

Effective Low-Energy Potential for Slow Dirac Fermions in Einstein-Cartan Gravity with Torsion and Chameleon

We derive the most general effective low-energy potential to order O(1/m) for slow Dirac fermions with mass m, coupled to gravitational, chameleon and torsion fields in the Einstein-Cartan gravity. The obtained results can be applied to the experimental analysis of gravitational, chameleon and torsion interactions in terrestrial laboratories. We discuss the use of rotating coordinate systems, caused by rotations of devices, for measurements of the torsion vector and tensor components, caused by minimal torsion--fermion couplings (Ivanov and Wellenzohn, Phys. Rev. D92, 065006 (2015)). Using the most general form of a metric tensor of curved spacetimes in rotating coordinate systems, proposed by Obukhov, Silenko, and Teryaev (Phys. Rev. D84, 024025 (2011)), we extend this metric by the inclusion of the chameleon field and calculate the set of vierbein fields, in terms of which Dirac fermions couple to torsion vector and tensor components through minimal torsion-fermion couplings. For such a set of vierbein fields we discuss a part of the effective low-energy potential for slow Dirac fermions, coupled to gravitational, chameleon and torsion fields to order O(1) in the large fermion mass expansion.

Neutron Interferometry constrains dark energy chameleon fields

We present phase shift measurements for neutron matter waves in vacuum and in low pressure Helium using a method originally developed for neutron scattering length measurements in neutron interferometry. We search for phase shifts associated with a coupling to scalar fields. We set stringent limits for a scalar chameleon field, a prominent quintessence dark energy candidate. We find that the coupling constant $β$ is less than 1.9 $\times10^7$~for $n=1$ at 95\% confidence level, where $n$ is an input parameter of the self--interaction of the chameleon field $φ$ inversely proportional to $φ^n$.

Non-Relativistic Approximation of Dirac Equation for Slow Fermions Coupled to the Chameleon and Torsion Fields in the Gravitational Field of the Earth

We analyse a non-relativistic approximation of the Dirac equation for slow fermions, coupled to the chameleon field and torsion in the spacetime with the Schwarzschild metric, taken in the weak gravitational field of the Earth approximation. We follow the analysis of the Dirac equation in the curved spacetime with torsion, proposed by Kostelecky (Phys. Rev. D69, 105009 (2004)), and apply the Foldy--Wouthuysen transformations. We derive the effective low-energy gravitational potentials for slow fermions, coupled to the gravitational field of the Earth, the chameleon field and to torsion with minimal and non-minimal couplings.

Standard Electroweak Interactions in Gravitational Theory with Chameleon Field and Torsion

We propose a version of a gravitational theory with the torsion field, induced by the chameleon field. Following Hojman et al. Phys. Rev. D17, 3141 (1976) the results, obtained in Phys. Rev. D90, 045040 (2014), are generalised by extending the Einstein gravity to the Einstein-Cartan gravity with the torsion field as a gradient of the chameleon field through a modification of local gauge invariance of minimal coupling in the Weinberg-Salam electroweak model. The contributions of the chameleon (torsion) field to the observables of electromagnetic and weak processes are calculated. Since in our approach the chameleon-photon coupling constant beta_(gamma) is equal to the chameleon-matter coupling constant beta, i.e. beta_(gamma) = beta, the experimental constraints on beta, obtained in terrestrial laboratories by T. Jenke et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 112, 115105 (2014)) and by H. Lemmel et al. (Phys. Lett. B743, 310 (2015)), can be used for the analysis of astrophysical sources of chameleons, proposed by C. Burrage et al. (Phys. Rev. D79, 044028 (2009)), A.-Ch. Davis et al. (Phys. Rev. D80, 064016 (2009), and in references therein, where chameleons induce photons because of direct chameleon-photon transitions in the magnetic fields.

Gravity Resonance Spectroscopy Constrains Dark Energy and Dark Matter Scenarios

We report on precision resonance spectroscopy measurements of quantum states of ultracold neutrons confined above the surface of a horizontal mirror by the gravity potential of the Earth. Resonant transitions between several of the lowest quantum states are observed for the first time. These measurements demonstrate, that Newton's inverse square law of Gravity is understood at micron distances on an energy scale of~$10^{-14}$~eV. At this level of precision we are able to provide constraints on any possible gravity-like interaction. In particular, a dark energy chameleon field is excluded for values of the coupling constant~$β> 5.8\times10^8$ at~95% confidence level~(C.L.), and an attractive (repulsive) dark matter axion-like spin-mass coupling is excluded for the coupling strength $g_sg_p > 3.7\times10^{-16}$~($5.3\times10^{-16}$)~at a Yukawa length of~$λ= 20$~{\textmu}m~(95% (C.L.).

GSI Oscillations as Interference of Neutrino Flavour Mass--Eigenstates and Measuring Process

This paper is addressed to the proof of the important role of measuring apparatus, i.e. the measuring process, in the formation of necessary and sufficient conditions for the explanation of a time modulation of K-shell electron capture (EC) decay rates of hydrogen-like (H-like) heavy ions (or the GSI oscillations) as the interference of neutrino mass-eigenstates of the electron neutrino constituents. For our analysis we use a toy-model, which has been recently proposed by Peshkin arXiv: 1403.4292 [nucl-th] for a verification of the mechanism of the GSI oscillations as the interference of neutrino mass-eigenstates by Ivanov and Kienle Phys. Rev. Lett. 103, 062502 (2009).

GSI Oscillations as Laboratory for Testing of New Physics

We analyse recent experimental data on the GSI oscillations of the hydrogen-like heavy {^{142}}{\rm Pm}^{60+} ions that is a time modulation of the K-shell electron capture (EC) decay rate. We follow the mechanism of the GSI oscillations, caused by an interference of the neutrino flavour mass-eigenstates in a content of the electron neutrino. We give arguments that these experimental data show i) an existence of sterile neutrinos that is necessary for an explanation of a phase-shift, ii) an observation of CP violation, related to a phase-shift, and iii) an influence of the Quantum Zeno Effect, explaining different values of the amplitude and phase-shift for two runs of measurements with different time resolutions and different numbers of consecutive measurements.

Non-Relativistic Approximation of the Dirac Equation for Slow Fermions in Static Metric Spacetimes

We analyse the non-relativistic approximation of the Dirac equation for slow fermions moving in spacetimes with a static metric, caused by the weak gravitational field of the Earth and a chameleon field, and derive the most general effective gravitational potential, induced by a static metric of spacetime. The derivation of the non-relativistic Hamilton operator of the Dirac equation is carried out by using a standard Foldy-Wouthuysen (SFW) transformation. We discuss the chameleon field as source of a torsion field and torsion-matter interactions.

Deficit of reactor antineutrinos at distances smaller than 100 m and inverse beta-decay

We analyse a change of a deficit of reactor antineutrinos at distances smaller than 100 m by changing the lifetime of the neutron from tau_n = 885.7 s to tau_n = 879.6 s, calculated for the axial coupling constants lambda = - 1.2694 and lambda = - 1.2750, respectively, in order to get a result corresponding the new world average value tau_n = 880.1(1.1) s. We calculate the angular distribution and cross section for the inverse beta-decay, taking into account the contributions of the "weak magnetism" and the neutron recoil to next-to-leading order in the large baryon mass expansion and the radiative corrections of order alpha/π~ 10^(-3), calculated to leading order in the large baryon mass expansion. We obtain an increase of a deficit of reactor antineutrinos in of about 0.734%.

Proton Recoil Energy and Angular Distribution of Neutron Radiative Beta Decay

We analyse the proton recoil energy and angular distribution of the radiative beta-decay of the neutron to leading order in the large baryon mass expansion by taking into account the contributions of the proton-photon correlations. We show that the account for the proton-photon correlations does not contradict the description of the radiative corrections to the lifetime of the neutron and the proton recoil energy spectrum of the neutron beta-decay in terms of the functions (α/π) g_n(E_e) and (α/π) f_n(E_e), where E_e is the electron energy. In addition we find that the contributions of the proton-photon correlations in the radiative beta-decay of the neutron to the proton recoil asymmetry C are of order 10^(-4). They make the contributions of the radiative corrections to the proton recoil asymmetry C symmetric with respect to a change A_0 <--> B_0, where A_0 and B_0 are the correlation coefficients of the neutron beta-decay.

A quantized frequency reference in the short-ranged gravity potential and its application for dark matter and dark energy searches

The evidence for the observation of the Higgs spin-0-boson as a manifestation of a scalar field provides the missing corner stone for the standard model of particles (SM). However, the SM fails to explain the non-visible but gravitationally active part of the universe. Its nature is unknown but the confirmation of a scalar Higgs is giving a boost to scalar-field-theories. So far gravity experiments and observations performed at different distances find no deviation from Newton's gravity law. Therefore dark energy must possess a screening mechanism which suppresses the scalar-mediated fifth force. Our line of attack is a novel gravity experiment with neutrons based on a quantum interference technique. The spectroscopic measurement of quantum states on resonances with an external coupling makes this a powerful search for dark matter and dark energy contributions in the universe. Quantum states in the gravity potential are intimately related to other scalar field or spin-0-bosons if they exist. If the reason is that some undiscovered particle interact with a neutron, this results in a measurable energy shift of quantum states in the gravity potential, because for neutrons the screening effect is absent. We use Gravity Resonance Spectroscopy to measure the energy splitting at the highest level of precision, providing a constraint on any possible new interaction. We obtain a sensitivity of 10^-14 eV. We set an experimental limit on any fifth force, in particular on parameter β<2x10^9 at n=3 for the scalar chameleon field, which is improved by a factor of 100 compared to our previous experiment and five orders of magnitude better than from precision tests of atomic spectra. The pseudoscalar axion coupling is constrained to gsgp/\hbar c<3x10^-16 at 20μm, which is an improvement by a factor of 30. These results indicate that gravity is understood at this improved level of precision.

The influence of the chameleon field potential on transition frequencies of gravitationally bound quantum states of ultra-cold neutrons

We calculate the chameleon field potential for ultracold neutrons, bouncing on top of one or between two neutron mirrors in the gravitational field of the Earth. For the resulting non--linear equations of motion we give approximate analytical solutions and compare them with exact numerical ones for which we propose the analytical fit. The obtained solutions may be used for the quantitative analysis of contributions of a chameleon field to the transition frequencies of quantum states of ultra-cold neutrons bound in the gravitational field of the Earth.

Energy Level Displacement of Excited np State of Kaonic Deuterium In Faddeev Equation Approach

We calculate the energy level displacement of the excited $np$ state of kaonic deuterium in terms of the P-wave scattering length of $K^-d$ scattering. We solve the Faddeev equations for the amplitude of $K^-d$ scattering in the fixed centre approximation and derive the complex P-wave scattering length of $K^-d$ scattering in terms of the S-wave and P-wave scattering lengths of $\bar{K}N$ scattering. The estimated uncertainty of the complex P-wave scattering length is of about $15\,%$. For the calculated width $Γ_{2p} = 10.203\,{\rm meV}$ of the excited $2p$ state of kaonic deuterium we evaluate the yield $Y_{K^-d} = 0.27\,%$ of $X$-rays for the $K_α$ emission line of kaonic deuterium. Using the complex S-wave and P-wave scattering lengths of $\bar{K}N$ scattering, calculated in \cite{ECL1,Weise1}, we get the width $Γ_{2p} = 2.675\,{\rm meV}$ of the excited $2p$ state and the yield $Y_{K^-d} = 1.90 \,%$ of $X$-rays for the $K_α$ emission line of kaonic deuterium. The results, obtained in this paper, can be used for the planning of experiments on the measurements of the energy level displacement of the ground state of kaonic deuterium, caused by strong low-energy interactions.

Molecule model for deeply bound and broad kaonic nuclear clusters

A molecule model is proposed for the description of the properties of the kaonic nuclear cluster (KNC) anti-KNN with the structure N(ant-KN)_(I = 0) and quantum numbers I(J^P) = 1/2(0^-), the large binding energy B^(\exp)_(anti-KNN) = 103(6) MeV and the width Gamma^(\exp)_(anti-KNN) = 118(13) MeV, observed recently by the DISTO Collaboration. The theoretical values of the binding energy B^(th)_(anti-KNN) = 118 MeV, the width Gamma^(th)_(anti-KNN) = 142 MeV of the KNC anti-KNN and the density n_(anti-KNN) = 2.71 n_0, where n_0= 0.17 fm^(-3) is the normal nuclear density, reproduce well the large experimental values. They are calculated with the trial harmonic oscillator wave functions by using chiral Lagrangians, accounting for all self-energy terms, contributing to the masses of the kaonic nuclear clusters (anti-KN)_(I = 0) and anti-KNN. In addition the high Lambda*p sticking probability in the pp reaction at the kinetic energy T_p = 2.85 GeV of the incident proton is explained.

Molecule model for kaonic nuclear cluster anti-KNN

We analyse the properties of the kaonic nuclear cluster (KNC) anti-KNN with the structure Nx(anti-KN)_(I = 0), having the quantum numbers I(J^P) = 1/2(0^-), and treated as a quasi-bound hadronic molecule state. We describe the properties of the hadronic molecule, or the KNC Nx(anti-KN)_(I = 0), in terms of vibrational degrees of freedom with oscillator wave functions and chiral dynamics. These wave functions, having the meaning of trial wave functions of variational calculations, are parameterised by the frequency of oscillations of the (anti-KN)_(I = 0) pair, which is fixed in terms of the binding energy of the strange baryon resonance Lambda(1405), treated as a quasi-bound (anti-KN)_(I = 0) state. The binding energies B_X and widths Gamma_X of the states X = (anti-KN)_(I = 0) and X = anti-KNN, respectively, are calculated in the heavy-baryon approximation by using chiral Lagrangians with meson-baryon derivative couplings invariant under chiral SU(3)xSU(3) symmetry at the tree-level approximation. The results are B_(anti-KNN) = 40.2 MeV and Gamma_(anti-KNN) = Gamma^(non-pionic)_(anti-KNN) + Gamma^(pionic)_(anti-KNN) ~ (85 - 106) MeV and, where Gamma^(non-pionic)_(anti-KNN) ~ 21 MeV and Gamma^(pionic)_(anti-KNN) ~ (64 - 86) MeV are the widths of non-pionic anti-KNN -> N Lambda^0, N Sigma and pionic anti-KNN -> N Sigma pi decay modes, calculated for B_(anti-KN) = 29 MeV and Gamma_(anti-KN) = (30 - 40) MeV, respectively.

Reply on "Comments on 'Time modulation of the K-shell electron capture decay rates of H-like heavy ions at GSI experiments'"

According to experimental data at GSI, the rates of the number of daughter ions, produced by the nuclear K-shell electron capture (EC) decays of the H-like 140Pr58+, 142Pm60+ and 122I52+ ions, are modulated in time with periods T_{EC} of the order of a few seconds, obeying an A-scaling T_{EC} = A/20 s, where A is the mass number of the mother nuclei, and with amplitudes a^{EC}_d ~ 0.21. In turn, the positron decay mode of the H-like 142Pm60+ ions showed no time modulation of the decay rates. As has been shown in Phys. Rev. Lett. 103, 062502 (2009) and Phys. Rev. Lett. 101, 182501 (2008), these data can be explained by the interference of two neutrino mass-eigenstates. In this letter we give a reply on the comments on our paper Phys. Rev. Lett. 103, 062502 (2009) by V. Flambaum (arXiv: 0908.2039 [nucl-th]).

On the influence of the magnetic field of the GSI experimental storage ring on the time-modulation of the EC-decay rates of the H-like mother ions

We investigate the influence of the magnetic field of the Experimental storage ring (ESR) at GSI on the periodic time-dependence of the orbital K-shell electron capture decay $(EC$) rates of the H--like heavy ions. We approximate the magnetic field of the ESR by a uniform magnetic field. Unlike the assertion by Lambiase et al., arXiv: 0811.2302 [nucl-th], we show that a motion of the H-like heavy ion in a uniform magnetic field cannot be the origin of the periodic time-dependence of the EC-decay rates of the H-like heavy ions.

Chiral Shielding

We demonstrate how a chiral soft pion theorem (SPT) shields the scalar meson ground state isoscalar $σ(600-700)$ and isospinor $κ(800-900)$ from detection in $a_{1}\toπ(ππ)_{\mathrm{swave}}$, $γγ\to2π^{\circ}$, $π^{-}p\toπ^{-}π^{+}n$ and $K^{-}p\to K^{-}π^{+}n$ processes. While pseudoscalar meson PVV transitions are known to be determined by (only) quark loop diagrams, the above SPT also constrains scalar meson SVV transitions to be governed (only) by meson loop diagrams. We apply this latter SVV theorem to $a_{0}\toγγ$ and $f_{0}\toγγ$ decays.

On the hadron production from the quark-gluon plasma phase in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions

We describe the quark gluon plasma (QGP) as a thermalized quark-gluon system, the thermalized QGP phase of QCD. The hadronization of the thermalized QGP phase is given in a way resembling a coalescence model with correlated quarks and anti-quarks. The input parameters of the approach are the spatial volumes of the hadronization. We introduce three dimensionless parameters C_M, C_B and C_\bar{B} related to the spatial volumes of the production of low-lying mesons (M), baryons (B) and antibaryons (\bar{B}). We show that at the temperature T= 175 MeV our predictions for the ratios of multiplicities agree good with the presently available set of hadron ratios measured for various experiments given by NA44, NA49, NA50 and WA97 Collaborations on Pb+Pb collisions at 158 GeV/nucleon, NA35 Collaboration on S+S collisions and NA38 Collaboration on O+U and S+U collisions at 200 GeV/nucleon.

We predict g(D*D$π$) = 5.2 and g(B*B$π$) = 14.3. The corrections of large heavy quark mass expansion to the constants g(D*D$π$) and g(B*B$π$) are calculated and make up less than 1 per cent.

Current s-Quark Mass Corrections to the Form Factors of D-Meson Semileptonic Decays

The infinite mass effective theory, when a heavy quark mass tends to infinity, and Chiral perturbation theory at the quark level, based on the extended Nambu -- Jona -- Lasinio model with linear realization of chiral $U(3)\times U(3)$ symmetry, are applied to the calculation of current $s$ -- quark mass corrections to the form factors of the $D\to\bar K~e^+~ν_e$ and $D\to\bar K^{\ast}~e^+~ν_e$ decays. These corrections turn out to be quite significant, of the order of $7-20\%$. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data.
