Non-standard quantum algebra $\mathcal{U}_h (\mathfrak{sl}(2, \mathbb{R}))$ and $h$-Dicke states

We discuss the application of the Jordanian quantum algebra $\mathcal{U}_h (\mathfrak{sl}(2, \mathbb{R}))$, a Hopf algebra deformation of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}(2, \mathbb{R})$, in order to generate sets of $N$ qubit quantum states. We construct the associated $h$-deformed Dicke states using the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients for $\mathcal{U}_h (\mathfrak{sl}(2, \mathbb{R}))$, showing that the former exhibit completely different features than the $q$-Dicke states obtained from the standard quantum deformation $\mathcal U_q (\mathfrak{sl}(2, \mathbb{R}))$. Moreover, the density matrices of these $h$-deformed Dicke states are compared to the experimental realizations of those of Dicke states, and several similarities are observed, indicating that the $h$-deformation could be used to describe noise and decoherence effects in experimental settings, as well as to control the degree of entanglement of the state in quantum computing protocols. In particular, $h$-Dicke states for $N=2,3,4$ are presented, a method to construct the $h$-deformed analogs of $W$-states for arbitrary $N$ is given, and some algebraic considerations for the explicit derivation of generic $h$-Dicke states are provided.

Quantum group deformation of the Kittel--Shore model

The Kittel--Shore (KS) Hamiltonian describes $N$ spins with long-range interactions that are identically coupled; therefore, this (mean-field) model is also known as the Heisenberg XXX model on the complete graph. In this paper, the underlying $U(\mathfrak{su}(2))$ coalgebra symmetry of the KS model is demonstrated for arbitrary spins, and the quantum deformation of the KS Hamiltonian ($q$-KS model) is obtained using the corresponding $U_q(\mathfrak{su}(2))$ quantum group. By construction, the existence of such a symmetry guarantees that all integrability properties of the KS model are preserved under $q$-deformation. In particular, the $q$-KS model for spin-$1/2$ particles is analysed, the cases with $N=2$ and $3$ spins are studied in detail, and higher-spin $q$-KS models are sketched. As a first excursion into the thermodynamic properties of the spin-$1/2$ $q$-KS model, the dependence of the Curie temperature on the deformation parameter is studied through numerical analysis.

Quantum gravity phenomenology at the dawn of the multi-messenger era -- A review

The exploration of the universe has recently entered a new era thanks to the multi-messenger paradigm, characterized by a continuous increase in the quantity and quality of experimental data that is obtained by the detection of the various cosmic messengers (photons, neutrinos, cosmic rays and gravitational waves) from numerous origins. They give us information about their sources in the universe and the properties of the intergalactic medium. Moreover, multi-messenger astronomy opens up the possibility to search for phenomenological signatures of quantum gravity. On the one hand, the most energetic events allow us to test our physical theories at energy regimes which are not directly accessible in accelerators; on the other hand, tiny effects in the propagation of very high energy particles could be amplified by cosmological distances. After decades of merely theoretical investigations, the possibility of obtaining phenomenological indications of Planck-scale effects is a revolutionary step in the quest for a quantum theory of gravity, but it requires cooperation between different communities of physicists (both theoretical and experimental). This review is aimed at promoting this cooperation by giving a state-of-the art account of the interdisciplinary expertise that is needed in the effective search of quantum gravity footprints in the production, propagation and detection of cosmic messengers.

From constants of motion to superposition rules for Lie-Hamilton systems

A Lie system is a nonautonomous system of first-order differential equations possessing a superposition rule, i.e. a map expressing its general solution in terms of a generic finite family of particular solutions and some constants. Lie-Hamilton systems form a subclass of Lie systems whose dynamics is governed by a curve in a finite-dimensional real Lie algebra of functions on a Poisson manifold. It is shown that Lie-Hamilton systems are naturally endowed with a Poisson coalgebra structure. This allows us to devise methods to derive in an algebraic way their constants of motion and superposition rules. We illustrate our methods by studying Kummer-Schwarz equations, Riccati equations, Ermakov systems and Smorodinsky-Winternitz systems with time-dependent frequency.

Poisson-Hopf limit of quantum algebras

The Poisson-Hopf analogue of an arbitrary quantum algebra U_z(g) is constructed by introducing a one-parameter family of quantizations U_{z,h}(g) depending explicitly on h and by taking the appropriate h -> 0 limit. The q-Poisson analogues of the su(2) algebra are discussed and the novel su_q^P (3) case is introduced. The q-Serre relations are also extended to the Poisson limit. This approach opens the perspective for possible applications of higher rank q-deformed Hopf algebras in semiclassical contexts.

Non-standard quantum (1+1) Poincaré group: a $T$--matrix approach

The Hopf algebra dual form for the non--standard uniparametric deformation of the (1+1) Poincaré algebra $iso(1,1)$ is deduced. In this framework, the quantum coordinates that generate $Fun_w(ISO(1,1))$ define an infinite dimensional Lie algebra. A change in the basis of the dual form is obtained in order to compare this deformation to the standard one. Finally, a non--standard quantum Heisenberg group acting on a quantum Galilean plane is obtained.

Universal $R$--matrices for non-standard (1+1) quantum groups

A universal quasitriangular $R$--matrix for the non-standard quantum (1+1) Poincaré algebra $U_ziso(1,1)$ is deduced by imposing analyticity in the deformation parameter $z$. A family $g_μ$ of ``quantum graded contractions" of the algebra $U_ziso(1,1)\oplus U_{-z}iso(1,1)$ is obtained; this set of quantum algebras contains as Hopf subalgebras with two primitive translations quantum analogues of the two dimensional Euclidean, Poincaré and Galilei algebras enlarged with dilations. Universal $R$--matrices for these quantum Weyl algebras and their associated quantum groups are constructed.
