Rotating and non-linear magnetic-charged black hole surrounded by quintessence

In this work we derived a rotating and non-linear magnetic-charged black hole surrounded by quintessence using the Newman-Janis algorithm. Considering the state parameter $ω_q=-3/2$, we studied the event horizons, the ergosphere, and the ZAMO. We found that the existence of the outer horizon is constrained by the values of the charge $Q$. Furthermore, we found that the ergo-region increases when both the charge $Q$ and the spin parameter $a$ are increased. On the other hand, regarding equatorial circular orbits, we studied the limit given by the static radius on the existence of circular geodesics, the photon circular geodesics, and the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCO). We show that photon circular orbits do not depend strongly on $Q$, and $r_{ISCO}$ is constrained by the values of charge.

A coordinate-independent characterization of a black hole shadow

A large international effort is under way to assess the presence of a shadow in the radio emission from the compact source at the centre of our Galaxy, Sagittarius A$^*$ (Sgr A$^*$). If detected, this shadow would provide the first direct evidence of the existence of black holes and that Sgr A$^*$ is a supermassive black hole. In addition, the shape of the shadow could be used to learn about extreme gravity near the event horizon and to determine which theory of gravity better describes the observations. The mathematical description of the shadow has so far used a number of simplifying assumptions that are unlikely to be met by the real observational data. We here provide a general formalism to describe the shadow as an arbitrary polar curve expressed in terms of a Legendre expansion. Our formalism does not presume any knowledge of the properties of the shadow, e.g. the location of its centre, and offers a number of routes to characterize the distortions of the curve with respect to reference circles. These distortions can be implemented in a coordinate independent manner by different teams analysing the same data. We show that the new formalism provides an accurate and robust description of noisy observational data, with smaller error variances when compared to previous approaches for the measurement of the distortion.

Spin Down of Rotating Compact Magnetized Strange Stars in General Relativity

We find that in general relativity slow down of the pulsar rotation due to the magnetodipolar radiation is more faster for the strange star with comparison to that for the neutron star of the same mass. Comparison with astrophysical observations on pulsars spindown data may provide an evidence for the strange star existence and, thus, serve as a test for distinguishing it from the neutron star.

Plasma Magnetosphere of Rotating Magnetized Neutron Star in the Braneworld

Plasma magnetosphere surrounding rotating magnetized neutron star in the braneworld has been studied. For the simplicity of calculations Goldreich-Julian charge density is analyzed for the aligned neutron star with zero inclination between magnetic field and rotation axis. From the system of Maxwell equations in spacetime of slowly rotating star in braneworld, second-order differential equation for electrostatic potential is derived. Analytical solution of this equation indicates the general relativistic modification of an accelerating electric field and charge density along the open field lines by brane tension. The implication of this effect to the magnetospheric energy loss problem is underlined. It was found that for initially zero potential and field on the surface of a neutron star, the amplitude of the plasma mode created by Goldreich-Julian charge density will increase in the presence of the negative brane charge. Finally we derive the equations of motion of test particles in magnetosphere of slowly rotating star in the braneworld. Then we analyze particle motion in the polar cap and show that brane tension can significantly change conditions for particle acceleration in the polar cap region of the neutron star.

Electromagnetic Fields of Slowly Rotating Magnetized Gravastars

We study the dipolar magnetic field configuration and present solutions of Maxwell equations in the internal background spacetime of a a slowly rotating gravastar. The shell of gravastar where magnetic field penetrated is modeled as sphere consisting of perfect highly magnetized fluid with infinite conductivity. Dipolar magnetic field of the gravastar is produced by a circular current loop symmetrically placed at radius $a$ at the equatorial plane.
